Dhime Dance on World Tourism Day 2023 by 400 Artist from Jyapu Samaj Yala

Dhime dance performance that took place on the occasion of World Tourism Day 2023. The performance was held at Mangalbazar and featured 400 artists from the Jyapu Samaj community.
The dance is a traditional form of the Jyapu community in Nepal and is performed during the harvest season and other special occasions. The dance is accompanied by the sound of a traditional drum called “Dhime” and Bhusya. The rhythm-centric dance is performed by 400 women dressed in traditional Newari attire.
