Man City have been dominant since Pep's 2nd season in the league, but because they were failing in the CL people used that to mask over just how scary they are "you're local champions, you'll never win the CL" the lack of the CL for Man City blinded people into belittling them, I remember speaking to my younger brother who's a Utd fan and he was like "you'll never win the CL, you can win the league but it doesn't matter" and all I said to him was "for as long as we're not winning the CL I'd rather we win the PL and other trophies in the meantime, because when we do win the CL on top of those trophies then it'll be over for all of you" that's long-term vision that most people don't have, most people only see what's in front of them, now they're starting to be scared because of what Man City are on the verge of, but this has been in the pipeline for 4-5 years so for someone like me it's not a surprise at all.

Let's not forget it's not just Pep who has transformed this Man City team into a dominant side. They've Ferran Soriano, who was the vice-president and General Manager of FC Barcelona he is the brain behind Man City's success overseeing City's football group and CEO at the club. Then you've Txiki Begiristain, another ex FC Barcelona icon he was director of football for 7 years, and the guy who helped build the Barcelona squad the world will always talk about These guys are the masters of the game since their arrival at Man City they laid out a vision for the club, and they've been getting almost everything spot on. When Mancini was sacked, they brought in Manuel Pellegrin, who won 3 trophies. They managed to lure Pep to join the club and form a formidable side that we now see. Pep knew exactly what he was walking into, and the backing, he would get to build a dynasty, and he couldn't refuse the offer. They brought Barcelona style of business on and off the pitch to Manchester. And off course, with the money the club has, their recruitment is just as good as it gets. They know how to use the money and the type of players they want. Robbie is obviously bitter just like any other fans out there he thought Arsenal was going to win the league, which is understable, but when you've bottled it, it's just ludicrous to blame someone else for your own downfall. I don't think it was City's fault when they dropped 6 vital points. Arteta isn't Pep he has to find his own identity or try and perfect Peps' brand of football since he is a copycat, and it will be interesting to see how he'll do that otherwise, he'll always be in the shadow telling Arsenal fans to trust the process, which will never take them to the promised land. Man City is heading in the right direction as a club because of the guys pulling the strings behind the scenes it's no brainer it's not just Pep. Is this league now a farmers league? Absolutely not. Chelsea has proven to the world money won't buy you success because if that was the case, Arsenal would've won the league in the past 3 transfer windows which saw Arteta out spending Liverpool, Spurs and Man City. City are doing business better than other clubs they've the right people in every department, and that infuriate other clubs no question about it

Chelsea's recent spending is testament to that, but the thing is, Guardiola is simply just the superior manager. Alex Ferguson was the same for United, and we all know what happened with United after he retired. Back then I predicted a massive drop in their typical Man Utd consistency, and I was right. Same thing would happen to Man city if Guardiola decided to quit after this season I'm 100% sure. Too soon to say who will challenge City for the title next season...looking at Liverpool they will have Europa League....Arsenal will have a difficult Champions League Group...Newcastle could...Man Utd could...Chelsea won't have Europe so could be well placed, Tottenham could get the right manager...maybe there will be a surprise team like Burnley Aston Villa or Brighton( who knows..and then on top of all this City are going to better their squad... there's .just no point in predicting, till we know the form and lineups for next season, and even then things could change. It's why I hate predictions...most of the time they (predictions) are wrong...take the England National Team for example if you need further proof that predicting is just futile!...you can make ten predictions and if lucky get only seven out of ten right at best...worse you could only get three from ten right...I'd rather enjoy the twists and turns of the season as it unfolds, than try to predict what is going to happen.

Terry , I can’t express how Right you are, and half of what your saying in MotherFlipping Common Sense!
Let Man City actually Win FA Cup, CL Final, & one more win for PL! It’s ridiculous because you’d think everyone learned from Liverpool last year -> when they won the Quad last year; until they played final games & 1 point short of PL & 1 goal short of CL! Plus Domestic Cups with Chelsea both won on PK Shootouts, 1 decided by GK’s on 11th attempt!
We all know sports is “what have you done lately”, and City have been on 🔥🔥🔥lately, who HONESTLY expected 4-0 win over Madrid?
The comparing Era’s is irrelevant too, as game is played & managed differently today! It’s the evolution of the sport. 5 subs & VAR(No matter what you think about it) are 2 things, and countless more, like reasons Terry gave: but Im sure everyone can think of 1 thing that’s different then & now.
We are witnessing a Great Dynasty in Manchester City! Even if you hate them, you have to recognize we may not see anything close to what they’ve done over past 5-6 seasons for who know how long. Premier League is not the other leagues, look how close Arsenal was to dethroning them, showing other clubs can beat them & at same time just makes what they’ve achieved even more impressive! You should always Appreciate History as it happens before your eyes 👀 in present day.
That said: Manchester Derby in FA Cup Final! If anyone doubts Inter to give Man City all types of problems in CL final you will learn a lot watching that game.
As Terry said so many times, let’s wait for Pep & Man City to win these games ! Deal !🤝🤝

Yes it’s pep, and all other officials at city. To understand why city hired such a coach and CEO etc is because of the obsession of the owner Sheikh mansoor, to be the impeccable best, simply look at UAE 🇦🇪 Dubai. Their philosophy is that they want the best in whatever their hands touch. That’s the same obsession they brought to Manchester City, you can see that now.
I know their culture and lifestyle, they don’t want to settle for anything lower than the best. That’s scary city will not let their guard down anytime soon. Only thing can let them slip is if Pep leaves. Normally pep stays only 3 years at a club but with city it’s 6 years and his words are loud and clear that “ I’m happy here …”

There's another thing City learned from their mistakes in the transfer window cast your mind back to the end of 2018/19 Vincent Kompany had departed to start his managerial career at Anderlecht and they got priced out of signing Harry Maguire. Then the start of the 2019/20 season Aymeric Laporte who had been key in the City backline the previous year suffers a knee injury during City's 4-0 win at home to Brighton which puts him out for the bulk of the season. They played Stones and Otamendi a CB partnership that Pep had chucked away when Laporte arrived at City in January during the 100 point season against newly promoted Norwich and got humbled 3-2 at Carrow Road with both Stones and in particular Otemendi having shocking performances the latter being at fault for 2 of the 3 Norwich goals. That horror show saw Pep react by playing Fernandinho a CDM as a make shift centre back for the bulk of the season until Laporte returned to fitness. The following season City saw the mistake and rectified it by bringing in Ruben Dias and it was one of the best signings of the 2020/21 season City got the PL title back after Liverpool took it from them the previous season. Fast forward to now this season with Laporte recovering from knee surgery and Ake limping off in the thrilling 3-3 draw at Newcastle, City signed Manuel Akanji from Dortmund for 15 million an absolute steal he's been key as City are on the verge of the PL, FA Cup, UCL treble just proves lessons have been learned.

And to put this into even more perspective! That's half of a teams starting line up that you can leave out or rotate with. Of ocorse this is the biggest difference. You wouldn't be in in too of the league a chance securing the league with 3 games to go , being In a cl final ( probably going to win that to) and in a fa cup final ( probably going to win that also) all at the same time if you only had let's say 10 or 11 players that you really can trust as a manager playing every game all at the . I think Arsenal overachieved this season which put them in an unrealistic situation where they may win the prem. I don’t buy the Arsenal collapse/bottle job narrative. United eight point clear with three games to go was a bottle job.
Arsenal don’t have the resources thus the player depth… yet. You can see the drop off of Saka due to tiredness as Arsenal have no other viable option. The same with Saliba and his injury.
I don’t buy Citeh can only only put £100m into their club. 100+ breaches tells you they don’t follow the rules. Nothing substantial will happen to them… which is the most disappointing thing.
They are a great team but, are run well and coached well but they have more resources than most can ever obtain.

    I agree to be honest.
Nobody is gonna catch City because money rules in the modern game.
It just so happens that they have a manager that’s a genius and he’s relentless.
Liverpool is the team that I support and we literally ran ourselves into the ground for 5 years.
We won a title yes, but losing out twice after getting 99 points and 97 points was unheard of.
That was hard to take as a Liverpool fan.
Yes you might be able to win a league title over them, I know that because we’ve done it before, but I think sustained success over City is impossible.
That would never happen because we simply don’t have their resources, or owners willing to be massively ambitious to consecutively challenge every year.
This season we fell off a cliff and it was because we went hell for leather last season trying to do the unthinkable.
We just ran out of steam because we didn’t rejuvenate the midfield and we paid the price.
The only way you can stop City is by having owners like them.
That’s the reason why most fans, and I include myself in this, want super wealthy owners with unlimited resources.
The game is certainly going that way. Soon you’ll just have more and more clubs state owned.
Hedge fund owners like FSG are no good for us as an example, because they only care about profit and don’t care about success.
They’re not ambitious enough to do what’s necessary to challenge a state owned club.
The only way you beat City is by joining them.
Newcastle already have, Man Utd could be next, while the likes of Chelsea are spending crazy amounts.
Trying to compete with one state owned team was difficult enough, when you’re up against three it’s an impossibility.

Football sometimes produces eras, we had the liverpool era, the United era, now City are building an era. There is no player in the City squad that any other top six club couldn't have bought, maybe Grealish would have been a struggle for some. No mid table team couldn't have afforded every player but Grealish. So why didn't they! It's not about the money, it's about how you spend it. The scouting network is vital, and then looking at players and how they could fit in your team., personality etc. That's what City are good at. Simple as that.

It’s kind of funny how terry is getting bugged that ppl are saying that city have already won the treble. When he on this channel has done so many shows mid season comparing teams and titles even tho nothing was won. So hypocritical

4:28 None of us ManCity fans are saying we're better than the treble achievement btw, all we care about is winning the trophies, its rivals talking about 99 treble

Refs and injuries screwed City big time vs Liverpool in 2018 and Tottenham in 2019 in the Champions League. Insane unlucky circumstances were the main reason they lost vs Lyon and Real Madrid last yr bur City also choked.
Chelsea somply outplayed them and Tuchel owned Klopp in that final. But this has been in the making for some years.

Robbie realised Man City consistency is insane because they have learned the pain in the football in the past years.🎉😊.....Evra has no respect. This is what EPL ex players show they don't accept the history today city want to prove only the Epl team left.😊

It can’t be a farmers league when Liverpools XI was considered “the best itw” and Partey, Saka, Zinny, Saliba we’re also getting best itw shouts

their legacy is still absolutely bang average in the context of understanding things.
united will never be touched. that 99 team was from a bygone era. literally pointless to compare. the last of a dying breed.

So when Alex ferguson wins a league every year, hes considered a genius, Pep does the same with much more competition in the league, people try to discredit him

the reality and difference of this man city team comes down to Pep and the management team that surrounds him... there's no other coach in the last fifteen years of this football generation that comes close... brag all you want about United's success but when Alex met Pep in the 2009 and 2011 CL final... the football brain was there for all to see who was the better coach and that's why Alex quickly exited knowing full well that Pep was arriving to the Premier League to save himself the embarrassment.

City are dominant but it’s not a farmers league. There are several clubs that have the ingredients, but that haven’t cooked the meal. Compare that to the Uber Eats league, no other team has the pieces to compete. It takes PSG to consistently bottle to have a slip.

No! It's not. City are dominant because the other clubs can't get their acts together.

Liverpool 97 92 points city win when pushed all the way also these are huge totals because their team is stacked more than any team ever

    • @tuttuts560
      @tuttuts560 Před 11 měsíci

@@Jporter196 I know but if you take a closer look, pep has made sure to eliminate almost every weakness in the team. You can see that the various heads are not pushed around by the owners. Scouting and purchase of players are what pep wants and if they don't live up to expectations he offloads them. Again, city continues to strengthen even if they win while clubs like United, arsenal, Liverpool, spurs rest on their past performance. Eg. Liverpool after winning the cl and EPL should have continued to strengthen but they did not, United coming in 2nd under Jose should have built on that performance but they did not, under ole they did not. Watch and see if city does the treble they will still strengthen
