So how do I decorate my Midori inserts? I have been asked many times and here is the video that reveals my process. I intentionally filmed my thought process on how I choose colors, patterns and even the inevitable mistakes you make while crafting. I'm keeping it real, people!
My decorating style is certainly not the only way to decorate a Midori booklet - but it is my signature style and preference. So feel free to expand upon it, adapt it or borrow from it for your own decorating.

I really like how the decoration turned out! I wouldn't never thought that finding contrast will make them match and have a theme in common. That was brilliant! Not to mention how much I love the overall lovely/heart theme!!! Thank you for taking the time to make the videos and sharing with people like me who has a pair of non-crafty mittens! Long is GOOD. We can always pause & come back later. I'd rather have that option, yet still get to see every step, plus know your thought process. That helps me so much more than just seeing the finished product.

I really enjoyed watching this video. I especially like how it looks so professionally done. It shows you take into consideration that you have to look at these daily in your journal so why not make it fun and use our craft supplies.

Stayed up late tonight to work on my planners, Ive just been doing this for a couple of months and I'm already an addict! I was already a paper and sticker and embellishments addict from scrapbooking days! Anyway, just watched your entire video and loved it. I'm definately going to use your tips! I loved this video so much that I just went and bought the only Midori I could find in Brazil (the A. Craft planner) and started decorating some inserts, even though I'm still seven months away of finishing my current Happy Planner, which was super expensive.
You've actually gotten me to decorate a planner for next year in advance, I suppose.
Although I may end up using the Midori as a faith binder, perhaps... That's it, I'm down the rabbit hole and loving every minute.

Hi Cori. I too watched every last minute of this video. It was so much fun to watch and it truly made me want to get some inserts and start decorating. :O) I love your idea of the tape over the washi. What a great way to get the beautiful Washi tape that we all have to last just that much longer. I don't think your videos are too long as it just made me wish you were my neighbor and we were going to spend the night decorating our Midori inserts together. I am loving your videos! I love the idea of planner decorating but I am just not that into planners, so when I came across your Midori 101 video I am hooked! Saving up for one of those bad boys that way I can customize all of my book inserts!!! I couldn't quite put my finger on what I wanted to craft and this is it! :)

On the 2nd book when you were deciding between the circles and the lines I was screaming in my head, CIRCLES CIRCLES! haha I don't know, just the lines were too much since the front had lines also (with the quotes). Circles just complimented it so well, glad you chose that one!

Wow! I found this video to be very interesting. I'm always curious about how other people decorate their Midoris. I make my own inserts out of cardstock and various types of paper. I even adapted a flip top sketchbook into my Midori. I think that whoever wins the Midori you decorated is the luckiest person in the world. Wendy

I think one of the easiest ways to cut the scrapbook paper would be to make a template! Then they'll be cute perfect everytime :-).

Nice to see a process...this was a great video. I think I may have to give that try - front and back in different papers! I have a lot of paper and more than enough washi type of tape so this would be a nice way to use more of it.
