      Could you please tell me how it lasts since you wrapped the desk? I want to wrap the desks of my both daughters, they use their desks frequent and a few hours a day for doing their homework, gaming and doing their make up. Is it hard to remove if they want to change it after a while?

    You're a pro. This was so so helpful. Watching some other videos got me discouraged that I wont be able to do it right. They were just such a drawn-out process. This has really helped and I feel better seeing how you did it. My fear was cutting around those hard edges and of course the bubbles. You make it look so easy. Will for sure have this video playing when am sticking mine down.👍👍✌✌🤗🤗

    Very good explanation, but what is the best way with rounded edges?

    • @JohanMoons
      @JohanMoons Před 4 lety +1

      Dag Martine,
      Wij helpen je graag. Eind deze maand komt er over afgeronde hoeken ook een instructie video.
      De werkwijze bij afgeronde hoeken verschilt niet zo veel. Het hangt er een beetje vanaf hoe strek de afronding is.
      1. Als het een afgeronde 90°-hoek is, ga je best te werk zoals in methode 1, wrappen met overlap. Je wrijft hiervoor de folie zo over mogelijk aan tot je een plooitje zou maken. Vanaf dat punt snij je de folie door. Kleef 1 kant over de afgeronde hoek. Je zult zien dat er aan de onderkant meer overlapping zal zijn dan op de plaats waar je begonnen bent met aanwrijven. Snij daarom een stukje in de vorm van een driehoek weg zodat je later geen te grote overlapping zult krijgen. Plooi met behulp van warmte het 2de stukje over het eerste.
      Druk alles nogmaals goed aan. Snij van het 2de omgeplooid stukje ook het teveel van folie weg zodat je een totale overlap van maximaal 5 mm. krijgt.
      Snij hierbij niet door de onderliggende folie.
      Warm nogmaals op en een laatste keer goed aandrukken als de folie terug handwarm is.
      2. De folie doorsnijden zoals in "wrapping without overlap" is af te raden bij afgeronde hoeken. De folie staat te veel onder spanning om niet na een tijdje open te trekken.
      3. Wrapping without cutting the film: dit kan lukken maar vergt voldoende ervaring.
      TIP: Om lostrekken van de folie op de onderrand te vermijden snij je het overschot best niet aan de onderrand van de tafel af. Plooi de folie ongeveer 2 cm over de onderrand en snij daar dan het overtollige weg. Op de rechte stukken is dat gemakkelijk te doen, in de bochten snij je de folie door in 1cm brede stroken alvorens hem warm te maken en om te plooien.
      Wij hopen je hiermee voldoende informatie verschaft te hebben en wensen je veel succes.
      Vriendelijke groeten,
      Applicatie team Grafityp.

    • @Grafiwrap
      @Grafiwrap  Před rokem

      Hi Mohan,
      This wrap was done with GrafiWrap AMD DECO films. These films have a thickness of 140 to 200 µm, depending on the chosen motif. A thinner film does not make wrapping easier, quite the contrary. In the case of a thin film, we recommend laminating it first to give it a bit more body.
      Hopefully this will help you. :-)
