- We just wrapped up an amazing Year Beginning Meeting in Houston! Yesterday, our CEO Doug McMillon closed out YBM by splitting Walmart’s stock for the first time since 1999! Doug joined me on The Huddle to discuss this exciting news - what it means, and how it will allow even more people to become shareholders in our company.
Of course, we also talked about our favorite group of Walmart shareholders: the 400,000 associates who own Walmart stock - many who buy it through our Associate Stock Purchase benefit program. I joined that program my very first day in 1993. Sam Walton once called it “the single best thing we ever did.”
Our associates act like owners every day, and we’re delighted at how many truly ARE owners of the company because they own stock. And we’re so excited to think of what’s ahead for all of us as we keep serving more customers and growing our company.

I’m a 48 year Walmart associate that just recently retired- I’m so very excited for every Walmart associate that this split is happening -I encourage every associate to purchase Walmart stock

I love working at Walmart. It’s only 6 months but it’s very exciting every over night. My wife has been with Walmart for 20 years and has been buying stock as well as 401k. It’s great being able to work the same shift with my wife. I just wish I would have made the switch to Walmart many years ago.
I liked your overall lower prices but not now. Thinking of moving over to Safeway...tired of being treated like a criminal which I'm not. Safeway treats me right...

Winder Walmart does not pick fresh meat or fuse do you have to wash them the date for Rome and they don't want to go and get like this cat food or water I order it every time and they say that they don't have it they always shipping they used to but they're too lazy to go pick it up

You need to put security guards in your parking lot at Kingman...people are getting harassed by patrons in your parking lot there. You have some crazy vigilantes running around enforcing their own set of laws...

Please tell your front door receipt checkers to stop their rude comments wallymart and just do their job of checking receipts with their x-ray eyes and super computer brains that can do it in micro seconds...
