I live right by the brand new practice facility for the Silver Knights. Very impressive. Looking forward to the new arena as well. I hope that the AHL can find a way to do some sort of playoff format this season.

I can’t explain exactly why but I LOVE the Rochester Americans logo. It looks amazing on their uniforms and just feels really old school and nostalgic.

Just some info on Hershey, I’m from Hershey and the history on the colors is they were originally called the Hershey BARS and after some time they changed it to bears, they are the chocolate brown and tan/white because of the chocolate bar color from the original name

As a griffins fan, i totally agree.
Just like how Vegas has the letter V in the knights helmet on their logo, Henderson has the letter H in the horses armor. I find that to be a fantastic touch

The Phantoms actually don’t use the text above their logo on merchandise or on the front of their uniforms. It is just the phantom itself.
They don't use it anywhere really not even on merch and promotional stuff

The AHL of the 90s and early 00s was amazing. There were some really amazing rivalries with a clump of teams in the New England area . Shame that's all gone now
The thing with the penguins is their old logo had a red ring around it so they used the red on the gloves to go with the ring. They also put a lot of red on their jerseys back in the day. Because if they didn’t have the red then it would just be a jacked colorless penguin
A few other details on the Henderson logo:
-Everyone knows about the H
- Around the neck are 20 links of chain and around the inner part of the H are 21 rivets which references their inaugural season which was the '20 - '21 season.
- Eyes are golden to tie them to the Gokden Knights
- The floral type pattern is the same as on the Golden Knights logo (sadly it does not show up on this example but you can see it on the jersey patch)
- I think k there is 1 more but I am drawing a blank.

How do thr CCM AHL jerseys fit size wise. For me the Addidas are much smaller than the old Reebok jersey. Do they fir more like the addidas or Reebok jerseys?
I LOVE my Moose logo, but I have to admit that the Milwaukee logo is the absolute greatest...plus I still miss the previous Moose logo colour scheme from 2010-11, before they were the Jets farm team. It was SOOOOOOOO much better.
honestly if Milwaukee ever gets an NHL team whether through relocation or expansion, I'd love for them to adopt the Admirals brand as a whole (logos, colors, etc). Even if it means the AHL teams go defunct, I'd love to see these skated alongside actual NHL teams
The odds of Milwaukee getting an NHL team are slim to none, because of the Chicago Blackhawks right to veto and the possibility of losing fans, from my understanding.
Hi Neil. you are correct about the Phantoms being in Philadelphia in the late 90’s. The team was founded in Philadelphia in 1996, moved to Adirondack in 2000, and than to Allentown Pa. I had a 15 game plan when they were in Philly in the old spectrum.
Norfolk Admirals logo was even better, especially when they were based out of the home of the Atlantic fleet.
i used to live walking distance from the all state arena (where the Chicago wolves play) and everybody loved that logo. my only knock on it is the green eyes
Honestly I thought that the Cleveland monsters were still called the Lake Erie monsters I remember them from going to bulldogs games
We changed from the Lake Erie Monsters to the Cleveland Monsters after we won the Calder Cup in 2016
In the Colorado Eagles logo, the three stripes on the left side actually form an “E” which is also used alone for a secondary logo sometimes
Milwaukee’s logo is also my favorite. Runner ups have to be Henderson for me. So well done

The Lowell Devils had a nice logo before moving, even back when they were the Lowell Lock Monsters with Zdeno Chara for half a season
The funniest description of an AHL logo I ever saw was someone who said that the Cape Breton Oilers logo looks like an X-ray bearing bad news!

Phantoms were originally from philly you were correct
So the difference between Colorado and Springfield is the placement of the stripes and the bird head.

I'd have the Griffins at the top. As for the Sound Tigers logo I believe its patterned off of a tropical storm icon. More likely spinning bands of rain and
not sweat. Their mascot is named Storm.
Based on my criteria, any logo that is pretty much a duplicate of (or strongly based on) the NHL affiliate is in the bottom tier of the rankings... Wild, Bruins, Senators, etc. The middle tier would be those having the same colors/jersey pattern as the parent team, but at least some originality with the name... Moose, IceHogs, Sound Tigers, etc. The top tier would be those that are completely original... Admirals, Griffins, Bears, and even your #31, the Wolves.
But thanks for putting my local team at #1!

The Silver Knight's logo actually has an H in the logo for Henderson similar to how VGK has a V in their logo for Vegas. The horse's armor on top of the head makes the H

Hello, I can try in the future, but it would add quite a bit of time to my editing process. I do have some visually impaired people who watch, which is why I always say the name of the team out loud that I'm looking at.

I grew up having season tickets to the Grand Rapids Griffins. If you like this logo, I think you would like the old logo as well.
I don’t disagree on much on this video especially number 1 that is an amazing logo but I’m a sucker for hidden details. And I love the hidden details in the Henderson silver knights logo. The same pattern on the outside the chain neck in the background and the fact they made the horses face into an H for Henderson just like the eyes an mouth for the golden knights makes a V for Vegas. Over all it’s very well done personally it’s 3rd on my list

The one thing I hate from AHL teams is when they use the exact same name as their parent club. Wild, Stars, Sens, Devils. I love how Vegas and Henderson do it. Similar, but not the same. The Kings and Reign too.
Is there any chance for ranking team branding concepts, like the Xtreme before the Avalanche, the teal jerseys for the Flyers in the 90’s, etc...

I agree with you one the Bears with the colors but they’re the oldest AHL franchise yet the don’t stick to their historic logo with the skating bear with chocolate (maroon) and white colors.

Hey, a lot of teams with both text and a logo use that when promoting their brand but on the jersey most of the time it’s just the character and not the text
In the Utica comets logo they share a shoulder patch logo and that is the logo on the pants so when they go up to th me nhl they don’t have to change their pants
Ok I have to say something. The reason the Bridgeport Sound Tigers has the word Sound because the arena is right next to the Long Island Sound. And what sounds better. Bridgeport Tigers or Bridgeport Sound Tigers. Also a lot of these logos don’t have text on the jersey.

I as a Griffin's fan too, it's honestly one of my favorites. To be genuinely honest, my top 3 is Grand Rapids, Manitoba and Milwaukee.

The Hawks just bought Rockford so I imagine the logo will be updated, maybe taking out the blue to match the branding. If that happens I wouldn't mind a new less cartoonlike ice hog logo.
