LOVED this video! Thank you. Interesting that the options for plug ins differs from MAC to PC. My tablet doesn't have polars in it, but my MAC version does. Would love to see a follow up on how to get grib files. Thank you SO much for these vids!

Yes I would appreciate a GIRB tutorial- how to get info from Sail Docs started. Many thanks. Additionally, how do we install paid charts ? Eg. Bahamas?

I made a computer system that can produce gribs as soon as satellite and ground station info is newest. Custom gribs at high or low resolution and can follow a boat or plane.
Now THAT sounds like the way to do weather!
I cannot thank you enough for these OpenCPN tutorials. I've tried some other tutorial videos and found them unwatchable. If I can request, any chance on tutorial for loading MBT tiles? And one for integrating Google Earth?

Hi guy's I have been using opencpn for about 16 years and installed it on laptops as I update them I have windows 11 on a new Ailienware laptop and cant get my charts to load the first charts I had were 2006 but now have 2011 (the whole world) any ideas why they won't load or what do I have to do? Hi Davide, just started my life with OpenCPN and am finding your tutorial extremely helpful. I am trying to uninstall older chart import program oesenc (I think that this is correct) but am being asked for a password, could you let me know what the standard password is? I have tried "0000" but it is not working! I would much appreciate your help
Can see the other vessel like AIS or not?
Weird quirk, on my MacBook Pro when using the calculator the data input box is only one character wide. There doesn't seem to be any way to resize it. The functions still work, but you just can't see the full data that has been entered.
I'm trying hard to like openCPN David! Can I use the radar plugin on openCPN to view radar images from a new Raymarine radar??
It does look like there are some Raymarine radars compatible with the radar plugin. But I've never tried it so I can't offer too much advice. There are a few pages that get a bit more technical about how to integrate Radar into OpenCPN:

Yes. Neither OpenCPN nor any plugins I see appear to be developed in this century. And the dependence on keyboard/mouse/internet is just silly. We should have an ecosystem able to operate unconnected.
