      Since the city will not allow us to have a garden in the front yard we are going to grow things that look like plants but really feeding us. Thanks for watching. Have a blessed weekend

    Loved the video...Have you ever considered building a 24 inch deep elevated bed around the trunk of a tree? Especially for shade plants and veggies....the tree stands in the center and shades the planter

    • @TheNakidGardeners
      @TheNakidGardeners  Před rokem

      No we haven't since you do not want soil covering the base of the tree.

      Yea before I gave the prototype one to the Boterf, I was thinking Sunflowers in the middle and different sun-loving herbs around it. Great mind, eh. We are going to try and find ways to secretly plants veggies in our flower beds to where only if you are a gardener you will know what is there. Thanks for watching and have a blessed weekend.

    Hot planter. I'm looking for a table saw to do more projects. Great video thanks for sharing

    • @TheNakidGardeners
      @TheNakidGardeners  Před 4 lety

      For this project, you would just need a regular radial arm saw that pivots at the base. much cheaper than a table saw. I bought that portable table saw from Lowe's when we first moved into the house. We renovated a lot in the house and temporarily lived in the house before our furniture and stuff got there.

    Nice planter
    Can you tell me the cut angles and the overall size of the outer planter and the size of the inner hexagon.
    I wish to build a taller one with a water feature in the middle and planter around the outside.

    • @TheNakidGardeners
      @TheNakidGardeners  Před 4 lety +2

      Thanks for the feedback. I want to say that I made the angle cuts at a 30-degree angle. I need to find the drawings for this so I can duplicate it and make it taller.

    Also we’re the holes predrilled for the screws? When you said measurements for you placements of the angled boards. Was 12 I am thinking the boards on the inside measured 24 I think that’s what I cut

    • @TheNakidGardeners
      @TheNakidGardeners  Před 4 lety

      12" back from the interior side of the boards. Then I placed them midway of the exterior board.

    Where’s the info on the length and degree of the angle?

    • @TheNakidGardeners
      @TheNakidGardeners  Před 4 lety +1

      The length you can make whichever fits your needs. The interior angles will just be 2" shorter. The angle of the cuts I believe were 15 or 30 degrees. I will double check once I fly back to Texas this weekend.

    • @TheNakidGardeners
      @TheNakidGardeners  Před 2 lety +1

      I would have to find the plans. I believe it was 30 degrees. Measurements are you can make it how long you want it to be.
