Thank you. But I think it's not so much about the wood. Much more important are many other aspects: Playing technique, strings, setup, the construction of the ukulele... wood seems to be least important to me. I've heared ukuleles with the same wood sounding very different...
@@wwelti thanks for the input. I think you’re right, I may place emphasis over tonewood too much at times. I have a laminate soprano and a Solid koa soprano With very different string sets but when I recorded both on the same song today I noticed not much difference amazingly, both sounded good. Also one has a Small old Martin style body and the other is larger style body so yea I think you’re right those other factors really play in. Thanks 🙏
@@gsharpslayer3287 I think that different ukuleles have an amazingly different character, though. There are several very cheap instruments that I value just as much as expensive ones. It is really nice to have some choice... sometimes one instrument is just better than another one for a certain kind of music. It's also amazing how much the strings affect the sound of an ukulele.
@@wwelti yea for sure. I have a thin body Cherry baritone with worth browns on it and it is more quiet than my sopranos but in a recording it sounds very good. I will actually change those strings though eventually to brighten up the sound maybe Aquila reds, I like those even though they are a little scratchy nice and bright and long sustain
