- This new video series focuses on the saga of Bleeding Kansas and the struggle over the future of slavery in the United States. In this episode, students discover the origins of slavery in the United States and how this issue became so huge that it threatened to tear the nation apart. This video aligns with the Kansas Journey textbook as well as the Kansas History, Government, and Social Studies Standards. Episode one is a fantastic way to explore standard #3, Societies are shaped by Identities, Beliefs, and Practices of Individuals and Groups.
