Nope. GoW 3 shows 100%. In ghost of Sparta Kratos was actually weaker. Canonically he had a massive power boost. Like first his power declines, then by GoW 2 ending he is on par with Ghost of Sparta Kratos but wins cuz he possessed the Blade of Olympus. Between God of War 2 ending and final boss fight with Zeus, Kratos had a MASSIVE power upgrade.

And the Titan Atlas had given him a portion of his strength, plus he had power to kill a god and gow powers as well. Kratos has been stated to be as strong as he needs to be. The only thing that kratos had as the dreaded Ghost of Sparta, was the power of hope, a.k.a the best plot armour you could have But the God of War doesn't have that anymore, plus we all know that Kratos is holding back against many of his opponents. Most, but the ones that hurt BOY!!!!! If anything would happen to BOY!!!! all hels would be let loose and even the Ghost of Sparta would tremble at what would be unleashed
