Great review! Carter is not insane. Talking to the deceased out loud and mimicking your usual day is pretty common. It's a form of grief and not crazy at all. It's actually a way of him trying to hold on to his sanity and keeping some sort of normality into his day just as he always did in the past before wife was murdered. Now whether Carter loses control and becomes unhinged later on is another story.
Next, I truly thought Drew was behind that entire set up. I mean how the hell did Carter get eyes on them that up close and personal that fast?? Unless I missed it.

Yeah he is not as calculated as either one of the two so in that sense he is a poor man’s version. However this explosive temper is also what makes him such a dangerous adversary - he can just shoot somebody on impulse.

5:59 definitely what I think is gonna happen. that ending scene is the start of what I think will be toxic relationship between riq and diana. with the relationship being foreshadowed. her relationship with him to me gives her the plot armor to survive this season and likely make into a spin off if they make one with Tariq.
And what I mean by relationship is more of “dating”. Tariq and Diana been just fucking and that connection alone been toxic.
