- Every fear we have may or may not be real. What if you could easily find out if your fear is valid, then take action to face it head on? The only place we can battle fear is in our minds. In this talk we learn valuable lessons about what real fear is and how to remove it from our day to day life. Frank Shamrock is many things: visionary entrepreneur, ex-con, author, star athlete, survivor of childhood abuse, international speaker, husband, dad and general defier of the odds. He holds multiple world records and remains the only athlete in history crowned champion of every major MMA sports league. Author of “MMA for Dummies”, he has literally written the book on the sport of cagefighting.
Unlikely as it may seem, as a speaker, Frank is best known for his humour, compassion and his ability to use cagefighting techniques to create deep trust and unwavering focus even with non-athletes. Shamrock’s coaching and training techniques are employed by top performers, celebrities and major corporations around the world.
Today, Shamrock lives in Los Angeles with Amy, his wife of many years and two kids, Frankie and Nicolette. Together they oversee Shamrock Way, a family nonprofit that tackles social issues and supports at risk communities with educational scholarships. Its not better to be dead. When that happens you just let your fear consume you. What you can do is find you inner strength and face your fears head-on. You are bigger than what you fear, don't let it consume you.

Fear is an emotion. Just like love and every other emotion.
Love isn’t just an emotion! It’s more a verb!
The more I hear from Frank and find out about him, the more impressed I am! What a great guy and what a role model!
Fear is learned from our circumstances and environment. Therefore it is temporary and remains active only in our minds if we allow our consciousness to surrender to it. However, we can find proven tools to face, feel, and free our fears with faith.

Thank you Frank, although we have different life paths, we both suffered through child abuse and our brains changed as a result. I too face my fears, move through them, it's wonderful to hear a person I admire share the save view on FEARS. Thank you

Wow, I have been a fight fan for years and remember Frank fighting in Pride & other events. New found respect to Frank...Excellent talk.
He never fought in Pride. He fought in Pancrase.
Frank Shamrock is or rather was a great fighter. Now I see him as a great person. There are other professional fighters or former pro fighters who have become wonderful people. Another one is Rickson Gracie and many members of the Brazilian Gracie family. Another one who is one of my favorites is Bas Rutten. Putting Frank Shamrock together with Bas Rutten would make a great talk. Mixed Martial Arts is much much better for you that boxing and probably the best fighting style for your health and effectiveness in the ring/octagon is Jiu jitsu. Keep talking Frank. You are an inspiration.
