And absolutely great to see the smaller size outfits working hard to survive and support their family's.. now all that is left is to get everybody to contact their congress man or woman, and keep the nice pumkin logs here and not overseas. And if the overseas buyer wants wood, it should be milled here to what they want, and make it so when I go to the lumber yard I can find a decent piece of lumber , not the heart cut scant pieces that they sell as number 1 select

Yeah that’s true. A few years ago they stopped shipping the red oak we have around here to China. Not sure if they ever started back

Folks, thanks for taking the time to show a nice tree felling and all the prep it took to land it where you wanted. Safely.
    Well done.

Gday from Oz, awesome videos of a small family owned logging operation, we had 2 Case 450B traxcavators both fitted with 20000lb gearmatic winches and log forks with grabs for plantation pine and the work those little tractors did in harsh conditions was nothing short of amazing, love the videos and keep them coming 👍👍

I had a 450c, we took the arch and rollers off an old 440 parts skidder and mounted it so you could get the lift on a drag just like a skidder. Worked great.

@@Bushguyrocks we buy our timber on an open market from the state/fed. You are basically allotted timber and the stumpage price is determined after the lumber is cut. Big difference.

The best saws are from Madsen logging supply, and get a new one power tuned
Nothing like hearing a still saw power tuned screaming.
