    Yet another great video Damien & Brooke. You are both giving a great useful information service to all MF ( or hope to be ) owners. Please post this video on all the Jeanneau Group Sites on Facebook.
    I have taken your advice with the solar panel and battery monitor ( think this was another great mod of yours). However will see how we get on with the standard battery fit before investing in a bigger leisure battery.
    Your dinghy rack is another great idea. It is a pity Jeanneau do not make these in bulk as a factory option. The cost of £3,000 is very high from my local boatyard for a bespoke model. So will try the boat for a season to see if that investment is worthwhile.
    Fortunately do not think the screens are really needed in the U.K. but can see how useful they are in Queensland!
    I take it you had these made especially to fit your 895?
    Sorry that the wind spoilt your night at anchor. Great to see some night filming though.
    Thanks again to both of you for some great advice and information.
    Looking forward to the next one!
    Take it, with the fab dock, you will keep the boat on your pontoon all year round? So a chance for filming some winter trips!

      Hi John, must admit I completely forgot about the battery monitor, should have included it in the power mod bit! But it is a greT idea. I'm constantly looking at it to see how the batteries are going and how much we've used, or gained. I really hope your MF comes soon! Yes the screens were from a local canvas guy, very reasonable. Can't believe they want £3000 for a tender rack fabrication! Yes we are hoping to get some nice winter days of boating in the coming months. Already is cooling down to below 20 at night hahahaha. Hi !! Thanks for this compilation of your best modifications!
    We are sailing our 1095 Fly in south of France and we love to see your videos.
    As you and many MERRYFISHER owners we have the pb of the tender, and you found a clever way to do it with also a very smart and good looking shape. As one of above comments , please share more information concerning this mount with us ! 😉
    Thanks a lot and continue to share your experiences with your boat ! It’s always inspiring. 😘

      Hi, where is France are you? We have visited the south several times. A fantastic place for boating!! The tender rack was made by a fabricator here - Shine Stainless. Did you see the video on just the tender rack? Let me know if you have other questions.

      @@TheRudder hi 👋
      We are living close to Nice and our boat is in Mandelieu, close to Cannes. Yes it’s a great place for sailing with Lerins and Porquerolles islands. Hope one day you will come again !
      Concerning the tender rack, yes I saw the 1st video and the resume in your last compilation.
      I have few questions sorry for that but we are really motivated to do the same here! 🤩Concerning the motors maintenance, do you have space enough on the top to take out the motors covers and do interventions?
      Is it possible to share the 3D file or dimensions (Even if for me it will adapt to a 1095, proportion can be calculated)?
      Roughly, can you give me an idea of the cost (just a range is enough as material and manpower will be not the same)?
      Thanks in advance for all these answers 👍
      Olivier

    Hello! My name is Jesus, writing from Spain.
    I am (together with my wife) a proud owner of a MF895 delivered on summer 2020, with exactly same configuration as yours!
    I just discover your channel trying to find some mods for my boat and I love it! You do a really fantastic work sharing your experiences with your MF895 and its really helpful for other 895 owners as us.
    I am speacially interested in 2 mods that you have already done:
    - The quick water hose connectors you have installed in the back of the stern seat to flush the outboard motors. Do you think you could share brand of the connectors and some detailed pics of how they are connected to the outboards?
    - Tender rack over the outboards. This is a must for me... We have been carrying the small 2,30 meters Quicksilver tender over the roof and recently have appear a small cracks on the fiber (as you mention on the video), so, defenitively I want to move it to the stern, as this would be easier to put it on water. Coud you please share some sketch or pic in order to try to fabricated something similar here in Spain?
    It would be really helpful if you could share this info.
    And of course, if you decide someday to visit northwest Spain, you are welcome to visit us!
    Thanks!

      Hi !! My name is Oliver, and I’m really really interested into the tender mount. I own a 1095fly and as you it’s a really must have! We are sailing in south of France (Cannes, Nice areas). Did get some information concerning this mount ? Maybe we can join us and negotiate with a professional in nautical stainless steel to manage our 2 mounts ?

      Dear Oliver! Let's wait if Damien could give us more detailed info about the tender rack and the other mod for flushing the outboards and then, I will start asking for prices in Spain. Let's keep in touch!

      Hi Jesus, where are you located in Spain? We have only made it to San Sebastian but not further west on that coast. The tender rack is great. Have you seen the install video czcams.com/video/VaW5D3LUFNI/video.html They were fabricated by Shine Stainless on the Gold Coast. They do ship overseas if that is easier. Especially if you order two ( with Olivier).
      The engine flush was installed before we got the boat. This was installed by the dealer. It appears to be made of fairly standard plumbing fixtures. Hope that helps

      @@TheRudder Thanks for replying me! I am located in Galicia region, exactly in La Coruña (650km west of San Sebastian), but we have the boat moored on Sanxenxo harbord.
      Regarding the tender rack I think it's gonna be fairly easy to get a provider close to our location to design and weld something similar than the one fabricated by Shine Stainless did for you.
      About the engine flush, I have an overall idea of how to do it, but would be really helpful to have a picture of the attachements they used to connect the flushing hoses to the outboards. Could you help me with that?
      Thanks you very much for your kind help.

    Love your informaive videos. A couple of questions. Wondering where you had the mozzie screens made? Also do you have press studs on the outside to keep tight? If you had a choice of replacinng your boat which Merry Fisher smaller / larger size or other boat brand would you buy?

    • @TheRudder
      @TheRudder  Před měsícem +1

      Hi, mozzie screen was custom made by a canvas guy. Hook, line, trimming on the gold coast. Yes it uses the press studs for the storage covers to keep it tight. We would probably move up to a 1095 if money no option. A little bit of extra space. We've been very impressed with Jeanneau

    Thanks for posting another useful video. I have a MF 795 Series 2 here in the UK. Not so nice weather as you have but still enjoyable boating. I would like to fit a stainless steel frame to hold my inflatable. Did you design it yourself or did the fabricator come up with the design. Thanks Mike

    • @TheRudder
      @TheRudder  Před 2 lety

      Hi Mike, I didn't design it, a fabricator here on the Gold Coast did the design and build. Did you find the video on the install - czcams.com/video/VaW5D3LUFNI/video.html They are called Shine Stainless. They can send internationally, I know there have been a few enquiries, maybe a batch could be sent to the UK?

    Cockpit mesh looks nice but ours doesn't have screens for the side windows or hatches. Is there a solution?

    • @TheRudder
      @TheRudder  Před 2 lety

      Hi Laura, the mesh is completely separate from our covers precisely for that reason. It was completely a custom build. The mesh doesn't have side (gunnel) walk-throughs (only the one at the stern) to minimize the chance of mozzies getting through.
