Boxed stuffing and canned fish isn't too authentic lol
@@slipnsldnawayLiving modestly, I believe what he is referring to.

Thank You Bruce, You Know Awesome Food!!!
Yeah Bruce I'm still with you I like that simpler way of life sometimes it's more work but so much more rewarding
I appreciate you, saying chicken eggs, some people don’t know how to cook and need specific names for ingredients, some people are visually impaired and don’t know what kind of eggs you’re talking about. It’s overall a more inclusive way of talking, so thank you for saying chicken eggs.
Never been to the south but Bruce reminds of what the Bayou is all about. He is really the essence of what I imagine the Louisiana Bayou is. When's dinner ?
Thank God I grew up in the Country,, Raised all our animals grew our garden, fished, crabbed, oysters, clamming, hunted... this is on the Oregon Coast. Yeah Buddy!!
Bruce, this is great. Thanks man.

I love the stories about Grandma
Love watching Bruce Mitchell's good cajun cookin.
I can't wait to try this. As a child my Mother made Salmon patties for supper back in the 50's. With the StoveTop Stuffing they will be OUTSTANDING! Why didn't I think of this?? That's why you have the cooking channel and I don't! LOL
Love learning about the good old days🌞
The ONLY recipe online that looks like mom's. She didn't use the stove top, but hers were never symmetrical and golden crispy all over.
Man I'm telling you what pink star salmon in the can.. you'd say I'm never eating that but grandma would make it where you couldn't turn em down..
I love grits n crayfish and grits catfish.Real eating 😋.
My Mum loved canned Salmon , because fresh Salmon was too expensive when I was young. Even canned was a treat!
She would make Salmon potatoes Salad warm. I don't think I had it till I was older.
Thanks Bruce,Hi to Miss Janet👋.
JO JO IN VT 😆💕
That's what I tell my guests , this food is eating food !
I could watch all this dudes videos. Awesome meals. Simple and effective
I HEAR YOU MR. BRUCE, I GREW UP ON A SMALL FARM BUT YOU KNOW WHAT AS OLD AS I AM I WOULD BE WILLING TO LEARN NEW BUT OLD WAYS TO LIVE OFF GODS LAND . TO LEARN FROM THE OLD TIMERS.
Your garandma knew when baking, a recipe is a formula, when cooking, it's a recommendation
Back home cooking ? Bruce is the best! Thanks for teaching us ! Your friend Johnny
I so enjoy your channel..
Thank you...
I've made the Salmon patties twice now and they come out great each time. Of course I add some of my own seasoning. Thanks for sharing.
My mom makes salmon patties as well. But she mixes it with crackers, and makes sure to pick out the bones, skin, and dark meat out of the canned salmon. Helps reduce the stout fishy flavor.
Using Stove Top sounds like an awesome idea.
I listen to his stories at the end of the videos just as much as learning his way of cooking. Just right down to earth. Hmmmm - better listen; history repeat it's self.
Bang on Bruce. Stay true stay real!
Love to see you cook with the stuffing , next time I make salmon patties I’m trying it
Never thought about using Stove Top as the breading gotta make these
We have heard you talk about Blackstone so much we went out and got one. Love it 🥰
So yummy 😋 Bruce
This is so awesome, thank you so much. Love your channel
love all of your videos, get hungry every time
Thank you for sharing this we love salmon patties and cakes but never saw them made this way
Imagine if everyone did the same thing the world would be boring. I thought the stovetop stuffing was a great idea and taste great,I use it in my meatloaf as well.
Bruce those days are gone even here in the mountains. Young people would starve cause they thought the old people were crazy. When it comes down to the nut cutting I will survive they won't. Glad I learned a new thing from you it may help one day
I love me some salmon patty biscuits. With mustard.
My grandma and mom would make this so good.
I still make this myself like to cook too .Dad would get involved too he lived on lake Toledo bend .Just love the Cajun country cooking.
Mom would do these but with saltiness or breadcrumbs. She'd also do potato cakes with leftover mashed taters. Making myself hungry.
Yum love how simple this is to throw together sounds really good too 😃 I love hearing how you grew up and how your Grandmother cooked. It's so cool!!! ❤❤❤❤🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🖤🖤🧡🧡
Salmon patties. I have been eating them since i can remember. With biscuits and some cane syrup. Drs. give warning about this kind of great food! Bruce can make a skinny man fat just watching his videos lol. Btw im a old backwoods country man. Im also old school. All we added to the salmon was onion, garlic, eggs and flour.
Better save your wife some lol
EXCELLENT - THANKS ! ! !

I just found your channel and OMG I'm so excited I did your food brings me back to my childhood growing up in Louisiana , I sure do miss that food funny fact that when I was a child I hated the smell of black beans and rice and know I eat it all the time
lawd have mercy..yes Sir and thank u gonna try this 💯❤
Like your idea 💡 good job ,thanks for sharing ..
Good looking cook Bruce. Pretty simple
In a couple of Months when I’m able to save up the money to buy a seasoned cast iron skillet pan I’m going to attempt to make biscuits and gravy that You had made in a past video. I’m slowly trying to learn how to cook at the age of 53 years old.
Dayuumnit Bruce Im on my way to the store rcht now
Same thing I do..look at what I have and create.
I grew up eating salmon patties. As an adult I always thought I'd like salmon. Ordered a salmon dish in a restaurant didn't really care for it. A few months later at a different restaurant ordered a different salmon dish. Didn't really care for it. I finally figured out that I like salmon patties, but I don't like fresh salmon. LOL
My grandmama kept a big grey goose for the eggs to cook and bake with.
Love it I imagine you could do clams crabs tuna or what ever ! Thanks for the recipe ! Got ideas now !
I imagine with clams it'd be difficult but crab or any fish? Maybe even crawfish or lobster if you're rich? It could work. Clams would probably lose their moisture and taste.
You are good.
Mom used to use tuna to make "salmon patties".
When I was a kid "many moons ago Ha" Mama would make salmon Patty's "Double Q pink salmon in a can, eggs, corn meal, flour, white gravy, homemade biscuits , man that was good eating!!!! Thanks for the video Bruce!!!!
Yes I’m gonna do this ,thx for sharing
I've got stuffing mix salmon and chicken broth. Guess what's for supper.
Great commercial you’re doing a good job thanks for sharing your recipes and glad you can be blessed by doing it.
The rain on the tin roof bout put me to sleep.
Excellent vid Bruce!! Love me some salmon patties hot biscuits with ketchup and Louisiana Hot Sauce...good stuff
Always used bread crumbs or Ritz Cracker crumbs. I never thought of Stove Top. Thank you Bruce!
Great Video however i like the Pepperidge Farm rather than Stove top mainly because of the sodium content.
Love the show keep-em coming Bruce and look forward to watching more in the future !!!!!!
Having grown up in Alaska we had an abundance of salmon. Mother always made salmon patties. I never liked them. They always tasted bitter. Maybe this recipe I’ll like.
I have only just come across your channel today. Loving it so far. I'm not much of a cook but I like your style and the food you cook looks divine. Gonna steal some of your recipes
Glad to still see you..man the other folks are not doing CZcams I don't think man
I love your show man keep it up !
Man, my momma always used saltine crackers because that's all we could afford but that stuffing mix and chicken broth makes sense. Looks good buddy. My momma fried them in butter and a little lard, that gave a good buttery flavor and a nice golden color.
Tried this recipe and it was very good
Love you, love you, love you. Watch you all the time on swamp people. And you cook like mom use to. None of those fancy spices, and ingredients a mile long. Just down home CAJUN cooking. YUM 😋.
Just awesome!!
Salmon cakes good
I do the same up here in Canada but now I use panko crumbs or cornflakes crumbs for a change
I love this- thank you!
Mom used crackers..lol..gotta tell ya. Still good😁 south dakota staple..nice vids by the by
My mom also made mackerel patties.
I grew up with mom using canned Jack Mackerel for this.
I enjoy your cooking videos would love to meet you sir! Take care!
Dam. I can smell it. Lol. I love the cry hot sauce
BM you the man 👍
Awesome
My grandmother would cringe to see you using stove top to make these. I have to admit I did too! I make mine totally from scratch and they are yummy. I can’t imagine this being good as I don’t like the stuffing to begin with.
Where do you get the scratch? Feed store I guess?
I bet a little cornmeal would be good.
From South Louisiana - I doubt they didn’t have an idea of what they might can eat.
Put crystal on those 😋
Call Bruce hope everything is well with you and your family and you'll be coming out with some new video soon
What brand of headlight is Bruce wearing on his intro?
Quick question for You. How does a person make these and without the bones being in the salmon meat mix???? My Grandma use to make these but they ALWAYS had slithers of bones in them. So I just quit eating them just because of that very reason.
