No. Like this person managed to move and scale object to make them look like they’re spinning, do lighting perfectly so Earth and almost everything looks realistic, and completely take this 2D game and make it 3D. This level makes it look like it’s almost a completely different game I mean they made CONES in this lvl. You know how many objects that would take? Completely game boundary breaking, this is arguable the best level in the entire game and I mean that.
@Max of course it's coded, it's kinda got to be, with the sheer amount of objects and triggers and other crap moving onscreen at once. Made by hand it probably wouldn't be anywhere near this Like, hell, i doubt a human could make a fraction of that end cinematic in GD without the help of bots &coding Don't discredit him like that.
It's actually pretty simple, basically just a shaded circle being layered on top of itself over and over, so whenever the bottom of the circle (the darker part) is visible (no overlaying circle covering it), it will look like a 3D shadow
Kinda depresses me to think that a lot of the 1.0 levels that took a maximum of 2 hours to make have millions of downloads whilst levels like these that take days barely reach 100k downloads

I have the level open in the editor and I'm trying to think of a way you could make at least one of these effects or mechanics work even as a concept but I can't bend my mind around it. In all my years playing this game this is the only level that has me in aw this is such a cool level and im so proud of this community for growing in the ways it has in not only creating but skill levels aswell

The animation for the ending and the wave icon was made in blender, then he used a script to draw in it gd, but for the wave, he imported a special background in gd then traced each frame.
This is just fucking phenomenal, the sheer amount of work and detail put into this level is mesmerizing and honestly calling this a masterpiece isnt enough by a long shot. This level deserves epic... heck, even more than epic because comparing this level to other epic levels should be a crime. I am literally astonished by this Spu7nix you've done it

This level pushes those boundaries in a way we have never seen, so not giving it an epic because a lot of people will have a laggy experience is not fair, at least in my point of view

Idk if anyone cares but I found a glitch in in the square and wave modes where if you click the mouse and press the space bar at the same time you either do a super jump or go down faster than normal

If I were to make one critique, it would be that almost half of the level doesn’t require you to do anything. I was hoping to have more interaction with this completely new look you created in a normally 2D game. But ultimately it’s still an amazing level. The visuals were incredible; I particularly like the melting icosahedron. I also appreciate that it isn’t too difficult, so most people can enjoy what you’ve created without crashing too much

There are adaptive shadows on the wave. I can't even begin to understand how that works.

Well all of the models are imported by blender and the cylinder was made with a ton of level editor lines that's animated.
