Why tf is everyone saying ps2 was Better? You guys don't realize that ps2 you had to buy games, couldn't even download demos cause PSN didn't exist. PS3 was clearly one the best consoles made by Sony. It what started more online gaming,playing with your friends, and trying out games instead having to search on CZcams. Oh wait CZcams didn't exist in the 1990s. So basically I'm pretty sure there was an Internet to search up to see the trailer. See without PS3 basically the PS4 would be as amazing as it is today. PS3 is what most got me to the gaming world. I know a PS2 is fun, but I'll be honest it didn't really was that good as PS3. Not that much people today have a ps2 anymore. The only person that I know has a ps2 is my cousin. He admits that PS3 is much better. PS3 today, YOU still got people who are playing it. See diva master was right. It gave us years of enjoyment and still enjoys us today. I bet by the time PS5 is ever made. People will still have the console.

I still remember back in 2003 when i was only 5 years old and got my first Playstation 2. The good times playing classics like Ratchet & Clank and Jak & Dexter...and now they have made it this far...incredible :3

I grew up with PS2 , PS1 then in 2013 - 2015 I was on the Xbox 360. I definitely enjoyed the 360 but I wanted the PS4 for Christmas in 2015 and thankfully my parents got me one back then. Now I'm 20, earning money, bought a PS4 pro a year back to try 4k as ps5 weren't in stock and now just received my PS5. What a decade it's been 😁

Here in 2023. I have the PS3 Slim and I still play games on it. My Dad actually bought it back in I wanna say between 2011 and 2012 and it still works to this day. The power on/off light isn't working but it still plays games. I love it cuz of free online play.
I remember that I would just buy a disc and then the game will automatically be ready, no installing, none of that, it’ll be like it is pre installed

Same its a disappointment that they might stop making ps3 games. What i don't like about the Ps4 is how they'd rather you pay to get online.
I've always loved this console. It showed me what a HD game is and how clean everything can look. Plus, it has a great balance of classic and modern games... Which will soon be a classic. My brother and I played on it many times, and that brought me great memories.

Alan George yup they did, the ps4 pro is a small improvment of the original, and the thing is.. microsoft is releasing Scorpio this year which i believe will much more powerful than the pro, although i think it's too late for xbox to catch up.

I honestly thought uncharted 2 was the best one
Games like KillZone, Resistance, Uncharted, & Infamous are games that every gamer needs to try. If you call yourself a gamer, you can't go through this gen without at least playing one of these amazing series. I remember when the PS3 first came out and it struggled for a few years. But starting 2008, that's when developers started to release some outstanding exclusives.
If you have any desire to purchase a PS3, then don't hesitate for a moment because the PS3 defines this gen of gaming

To make a single PS3, It cost Sony 800$ so everytime a person buys a PS3 with a 599$ pricepoint, Sony loses 200$ and there were a lot of people who bought the PS3 at launch.

Forgot to mention that stereoscopic 3D was very big on PS3 at one point. I still have a 3DTV. Uncharted 3,killzone 3, resistance 3, gran turismo all look good in 3D!!

There was one time I tried to get the PS3 and my mom got me an Xbox what GameStop only offered her I got so mad 😂 the PS3 was a golden ticket to get access online and everything you need if only if I played with it earlier around my younger times when I was 11 years old in 2007 it be so blessed to have one I remember in the year 2007. The ps3 commercial came on and it got me soo hyped to beg to get one like for real

The PS3 graphics still hold up to today's standards in my opinion, and the games on it are AWESOME, just wish that there was some record gameplay button on it, but that might be too advanced for the time lol
