    Did you ever hear the tragedy of Megatronus the Fallen?
    I thought not. It's not a story the Autobots would tell you. It's a Decepticon legend. Megatronus was a Transformer created by Primus, so powerful and so wise he could use the Energon Harvester to influence the Allspark to create...life. He had a loving relationship with Solus Prime that he was driven to keep the one he cared about from dying. And...the dark temptations of Liege Maximo is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. He became so powerful...the only thing he was afraid of was losing his power, which eventually, of course, he did. Unfortunately, the dark influence turned him against his Conjux Endura; then he killed Solus, his one true love, beginning the War of Primes. From that day on, he was cast out by his brothers, and stripped of his power, separated from Solus in a vain quest to return her to life, waiting for the last Prime to kill him for his corruption.
    Ironic, he could save others from death, but not himself.

      I mean, I've thought for I while now that he's arguably more evil than Megatron; between the Marvel Comics, Fall of Cybertron, War for Cybertron: Earthrise, and the IDW comics. Yet, somehow, I've taken a liking to this cold-blooded, camera-headed, creep. I guess I'm drawn in by his focus on logic. His lack of emotions and expressionless face would suggest he could pass for an ordinary robot, but the scary truth is that there's a cunning mind inside that camera head of his. His loyalties are pretty clear; he defers to logic first, the Decepticon cause second, and Megatron third. His uncompromising logical nature and his ambition unhindered by emotion really make him a scary character, in a thrilling chilling sense.

Like putting him in a "hero" side once in his life, like, i don't know, a Unicron corrupted Megatron or original decepticon seeks to destroy Cybertron and their prime relics (cliche, i know) to consume the universe in darkness without resistence, but Megatronus helps Optimus and the autobots to find a way to stop the chaos bringer, because in his exile he realized that Solus could not be brought back to life, and the relics she made were all to remember her, and they could not be destroyed because for him, lose those relics, is to lose for ever his love.

    It's funny that he's now considered the first Decepticon when the Liege Maximo was the proginator of the Decepticons in Generation 2. Although the IDW comics did reinstate Maximo as the Prime of Deceit responsible for them, until you remember he was Shockwave's retroactive creation in that continuity. When you read Generation 2 you feel as if Liege Maximo is less of a name and more of a title, which leads me to think that Furman may have originally intended to call him something similar to Megatronus to make it look 'shocking'.

      @JohnWilliams-wl9px Před 4 lety +5

      KikBlava I remember early years in the internet where people flat out thought Liege and the Fallen were the same person. Plus given the Fallen’s later origins as being the first Decepticon something Maximo already claimed in his first appearance, seems that they were meant to be 1 person but later made into 2 beings. That way we can have 2 evil primes who represents opposite evils Fallen the one who does evil actions, and Maximo who manipulates others into doing evil deeds.

    I like the concept of The Fallen as both an original Prime and the first Decepticon

    I met The Fallen in the Bayverse films, but I loved this video nonetheless! I'd love to see a basics episode on Arcee! Or Dreadwing and Skyquake.

    I believe that the earliest roots for the Fallen as far as in-universe explanation goes is on the Beast Wars. There was mentioned a great destroyer in the Transformers' religious text The Covenant of Primus named Megatron where Nash T/BW Megatron got his name and possibly even Megatron.

    Multiple origins can fit characters like the fallen since it's like mythology stories differ according to the teller so it can help and makes his origin unknown

      It's just that in hind sight, ROTF was not a good movie. Dare I say it, 2nd worst of the Bayformer films.

      Given that until ROTF The Fallen was seen only in Dreamwave comics and appeared as a lore footnote, its no surprise. Heck ROTF was also where I was introduced to the character as well.

    In the Power of the Primes toyline, Megatronus' toy was one of the Primemasters, who could connect to the other toys in Spark Mode, transform into a claw weapon other figures could hold and hide inside a shell that mimicked the G1 Decepticon Pretender, Bomb-Burst. Ironically, it was a retool and recolor of Liege Maximo's toy released in the same line.
