Thank you Alexandra for explaining a little about the historical relations between the Danish Monarchy and the Norwegian Monarchy. In fact, there was a monarch of Norway who was the brother of the King of Denmark at the same time , that is, King Haakon VII of Norway was the brother of King Christian X of Denmark.
The Journey of King Frederik X of Denmark and his wife, Queen Mary, to Norway , seems to be going wonderfully.
In addition, everyone was very well dressed, but we must highlight the Birthday Parties for their 20th Wedding Anniversary, King Frederik X of Denmark, and his wife, Queen Mary , who in addition to being elegantly dressed, seems to be looking very happy. Congratulations to the Danish Royal Couple.

Thank you Alexandra. The history behind the kingdoms of Europe is fascinating - I didn’t realise how closely they have interwoven over the centuries. Lovely to see King Harald and King Frederik together - King Harald’s speech to the Danish royals shows the mutual respect they have for each other. Happy Anniversary to King Frederik and Queen Mary. 🇦🇺

Love the tiaras and glad to see King Harald getting around again. It's sad to see him needing canes, when we remember what an athlete he was at the Olympics when he was a young man. However, it is inspiring to see him carrying out his royal duties at his age after his illness.

Great report on the fantastic Day 1 of the Danish State Visit to Norway. So many great moments. Both King Frederik and Queen Mary look amazing. Loved seeing her in the pearl parure for the first time. As per tradition the Danish royal couple's first state visits are always to their Scandinavian neighbors/family. And btw the Danish royal family is still of the House of Glucksborg. Lol. There is no House of Monpezat. And lovely they spent their 20th anniversary in Norway. They were in top form for both state visits. Love seeing the Danneborg and the Norwegian royal yacht together. Such a magnificent sight! ❤

I love Queen Mary white and blue outfit. It's so spring like. I bet she will start wearing short sleeves when weather in Denmark gets hot. Mary also wore a white button up shirt and tan wide leg pants at the lab. The outfit I love the most is her Light blue evening gown. It's so elegant and beautiful. The sheer fabric over her chest is the wow factor. She has has a lovers knot tiara.
Crown Princess Mette Marit has on a troupe and white dress with a white hat at the docks, a pink shirt and wide leg pants at the lab. At the gala banquet, Mette-Marit wore a white jacket,a pink floral maxi skirt, a life guy blue clutch, and the amethyst parue tiara at the gala banquet. She looked incredible. Princess Astrid wore a light pink dress and a diamond tiara.
Queen Sonja of Norway wore a salmon colored cape gown with the emerald parue tiara, earrings and necklace. The best dressed royal lady at the gala banquet is...Queen Mary.
Btw What was on the gala banquet menu?

Everyone looked so lovely and a new tiara for Mary. She has exquisite taste, I love the way she puts everything together! I noticed C.P. Mette Merit repeated the amethyst tiara, maybe she prefers the lighter tiaras, some can be heavy to wear. The gentlemen also looked nice throughout the visit, 1 quick thing though,C.P. Also means King Felipe & Queen Letitia of Spain will also be celebrating their 20th Wedding Anniversary soon as well. 😊
All of the Ladies looked amazing last night, but Mary got my Best Dressed Award. That Dress just looked stunning on her. However, what really put it over the top for me was the Tiara. Did my eyes deceive me or was that the Pearl Poire on her head? If so, then it’s the first time in Public Mary's worn it. It’s the one Danish Queens Only Tiara I've been looking forward to seeing her wear once becoming Queen Consort & it did not disappoint. There’s just something about Pearl Tiaras w/dark hair as a background I just really love, so…😊

Next comes Norways House of Glücksborg, which is the oldest family, but not in Norway.

Hi Alexandra, I noted that while the king and queen of Denmark are in Norway, Crown Prince Christian is regent. This made me wonder as to a point of protocol. Normally, a prince would bow to a king, but, if the prince were acting as a regent and a foreign monarch showed up, would he bow to them, seeing as he’s regent and, essentially, the “acting king”? Do you know. Obviously a hypothetical question, but I’m curious as to what would be correct in such a situation.
