- This is the first time I've really wheeled my 2004 Chevy Silverado with a solid axle swap, 1 tons and 46" tires. Check out my channel for the full build series. Huge thank you to MC Wheels, TMR Customs, and Jeklefab for supporting this build!
Myself being in a chair, seeing you climb in the cab like i used to do to my stock height truck, impressed me lol. Love the rig, pretty nice location for some trailing! Thanks for sharing
Thanks Jesse! The transfer is not easy but worth it once in there 😅🍻
My legs work and I probably still could barely get in that thing 😂
The essence of life can be summed up in five words ~living it to its fullest~.
for the size of those tires, she is pretty low slung, I like it
Low as possible! Thanks 👍🏻
That Cummins powered all wheel steer buggy on 58 inch tires is nuts! That rig of yours is impressive, you should be proud of what you build.
Yeah it’s cool! Thanks buddy 👍🏻
Legend
🍻
Bad ass chevy man.
Thank you
I always thought it was a joke when I was at school and learned that the Inuit people had something like 40 or more words just to describe snow... Seems it was true - my ignorant vocabulary was just 3 words - white, cold and melted...
Nice to take your project out and for it to pass the toughest tests...
Sir if you don't mind me asking, what happened? Are you paralyzed from the waist down? You really are an inspiration to me! Much love from Louisiana ❤❤❤
This should explain it :) thank you! czcams.com/video/rU7mckHCpcA/video.html
that buggy is like something you see at king of the hammers
Love the videos! That looked like an awesome day. Totally impressed with the stuff you do you're an inspiration man.
Thanks Travis! More to come 👍🏻
Snow is better than the mud here in Louisiana!!!! The stance looks awesome, great job 👍.... ✌
Thanks! And ya, snow is much cleaner 😅
You impress me keep going strong
I used to have a similar Silverado on 46's as well with super duty axles. Mine was leaf sprung and rode horrible but I had hydraulic assist steering and that helped so much the steering was almost like factory even with 46's. I really like your build. your truck build has convinced me to do coils on the next one. Truck looks awesome!!
Thanks! 🤘🏼🍻
You did a great job on building it
I have a quick question,I have a 97 Dodge ram 1500,2wd,I am looking to do the same set up you have , however I can't find a solid front axle for this truck, you got any suggestions?
Wow bruce!!!! Posto fantastico ... mezzi fantastici!!!🔝🔝🔝🔝🔝🔝👏👏👏🤝🤝🤝🤝🤝🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
Thanks!
You are awesome bro! Nice truck too, you should build my Chevy duramax lb7 or gime the parts to build it myself then we ride together lol!😂 blessings
I used to have an 04 Silverado, same colour. Seeing Large Marge playing in the snow, makes me miss mine.
That looks like a blast! You’re such an inspiration. Nothing stops you from doing what you love!
SO fun! Thank you
Lookin great man! Wow duck tape
On the inner bead that’s a new one to me awesome man 🙏
Works awesome
@@BruceCookfmx how is the duct tape, I mean BEAD TAPE😁 utilized on the inner bead?
Extra layer on rim, make bead fit more snug?
Great video man! Thanks for bringing me along!
Was a good time! 🍻
Awesome video well done
Thank you! More Marge videos coming soon 🍻
Impressive build, looks like a lot of fun!
Thanks! Sure is 😁
You should continue what you love and keep on flipping I mean if you can do a backflip you can do anything never say never
That thing turned out awesome. Hard work paid off for sure on this one
Thanks! Happy with it so far 😃
Sweet truck !!! Excellent job putting it together
Thanks! 🍻
Bring on spring snow🤟 truck looks great
Amen!! Sick of this junk snow all year. Thanks buddy 😘
Ayyye you did get it back!!! I'd like to hear that recovery story! Glad shes back man, I hate a damn thief...
SOO relieved
@@BruceCookfmx I bet so man!! I figured something like that wouldn't be easy to hide. I figured she was stripped n gone or somebody would eventually see it hidden somewhere and talk.
@@BruceCookfmx Marge was stolen?? Was that before, or after the build?
Either way, glad she's back in your hands.
That trucks bad ass. Good job on the build!
Thanks Dylan!
Good video man. Can’t wait for the muddy wheelin soon.
Can’t wait for good spring snow first! 😅
Thank you
@@BruceCookfmx let me know when your heading out so I can bring out the new beast Turbo RZR on 36’s for some early spring wheeling
well done mate, some beautiful scenery. Great video
Thanks! 🍻
Christmas tree dashboard baybee lol! Thanks for showing your hand controls! I've been curious. My accelerator leg is getting weaker so I figure I might as well look into this so I can stay on the road when the time comes! Love your giterdun attitude cuz 💪🏼😊! Happy chewing!!
Lots of options for sure! The permanent ones are a lot better and they keep the pedals open so you or anyone else can still use them any time.
Awesome build and great video! Your only one city away from me, might see you up the mountain sometime !
See ya out there!
Wondering what gear ratio your running in the superduty axles? Love the build! And you being in a chair and doing it all yourself is very inspiring 🙌 keep up the good work man!!!
Thank you! They’re 5:13’s
You always make badass videos. That’s a nice ass truck u have there ! Would like to test it out over here in the Appalachian mountains where I live
Thanks buddy! I’d also like to do that 😅
Awesome to see this truck wheeling finally! Glad you were able to recover it. What exhaust are you running? It sounds good
It’s just a “cherry bomb” or glass pack for now. It sounds good cruising but is a little loud for long uphill climbs. Throwing an MBRP on there soon 👍🏻
@@BruceCookfmx awesome! Had one of those on a C4 vette I once had. Curious to see how the Mbrp sounds, I’m going to do exhaust on my truck next but don’t want something too loud in the cab either. I went the 78/79 Ford d60 route for my solid axle swap.
Marge 😍
.. a stock 5.3 and you put those on it?
Stock 4L60 too?
My man you need to buy a lottery ticket asap. They are pretty simple to add decent power to though if you ever feel like you need more. I do not recommend doing what I have with the partially built motor and Twinscrew Charger. Have had to be ever so careful now when I go hunting as it's a bit too easy to spin.
5.3 with 4L80e. It’s not all about power. Much cheaper to not have lots of power 👍🏻
I have the same set up on my chevy but with trax for winter it goes anywhere
Sick!!
This area sure look familiar! You in Alberta?
Neighbours. Kelowna, BC 👍🏻
Always thought a 4 door rig like that with suicide doors for a lease to get a wheelchair in without having to take it apart would be sick for folks in chairs.
And do what you love
Awesome
What type of tires are thoughs i have an 03 yukon i wanna lift to go wheeling as i just moves to bc and im trying to figure out if i wanna lift as is or swap the ifc for a sold axel. Love the truck man glad i came across your video
Thanks! These are 46x19.5x20 baja pro xs. They come in a few different sizes 👍🏻
Awesome thanks for the reply man have asked a few different people that use theses tires what they are but no one ever answered me back I appreciate it 👍
Just curious about the drive shafts do you have to change the u joints to make up?
Hmmm can’t remember now, I think I did a conversion joint on the rear. Should be in the build series somewhere… there’s a playlist for the whole build
15:30 how did you get that camera all the way up there?
where in bc are you im in penticton
Kelowna 👍🏻
Im new to your channel. I just have some 4 runner questions man. I want to do a conversion to 4x4 and also i have a 2.7 so i want to turbo it because it haves no power. Whats your thoughts?
Sorry for the delayed response and thanks for watching! I think it’s a great idea! You’d like my buddies content, he does a lot of Toyota content and has a lot of knowledge on swaps etc. @dirtgarage
What was the cost for the front axle swap not including the coilovers???
All the fab work and time is the biggest part of it
Hi 👋, do you have a shop and build for customers? Or just build for yourself?
I have a shop but have just built for myself. May do small things for others
@@BruceCookfmx that is a epic truck, do you still have it?
@@bradforester3635 sure do 👍🏻
You should still learn a lot moor flips I’m the phome pit
I will :)
Ummm..... you need tire chains.
Not for the deep stuff, you would just sink
@@BruceCookfmx dude that's a full size truck with giant tires... you're gonna sink in the snow anyway unless you're doing 50. Get some chains... you'll thank me later.
@@jdoe7697 unfortunately they just don’t work. Chains are for hard pack and ice. We run these tires around 2-3psi and they most definitely float similar to a snowshoe. I know for a fact that chains dig you down. This snow is a few feet deep.
@@BruceCookfmx I stand corrected.
@@jdoe7697 Chains and skinny tires on the road and ice, big wide tires on the deep stuff offroad
Dope.
