So there i was , laying in the dark during a blackout when suddenly a song popped into my head.I just kept listening to it when the power returned, i put on my pc and came to listen.
I love her new style, I haven't heard her in awhile so this was a breath of fresh air.

Song sounds good live - still just glad Michelle is returning to music after *sooo* long.
Rick Adams she never left music she just couldn't put albums out because of the record company.
Aussie Pie Well, true enough - but we did have Hotel Paper in 2003, the "end" point of classic Meech... then it was 2009 until Everything Comes and Goes. She was actively recording/writing until about 2011, and now... this, here in that almost unbelievably futuristic year (to me, at least!) of 2017. So that ultimately came to us facing a six year long gap, followed by approximately 2-3 active years around 2010, and then we had ourselves yet *another* six year long gap that lasted up until right here and now!
As far as myself goes, I don't really consider the Wreckers discography as part of Michelle's - totally different genre of music, and it was a duo to boot. But if *you* do, then that was Michelle active during 2005-2006 or 2007.
Bottom line time...? There were a *lot* of long gap years for Michelle, when she was focusing on family or whatever. If you look at touring/live performances of Michelle solo? That gap is extended dramatically. Most folks would prolly consider, due to her record label troubles, a gap from 2003's Hotel Paper to now, with Loud Music in-between. It's been a really long time since we had Michelle Branch fully working (and publically) *as* Michelle Branch, so right now with Best You Ever is quite refreshing for those of us hardcore Michelle Branch fans from back in the days of 2002-2003, and a *lot* of years there where our "fix" of Michelle Branch music went unfulfilled - so this is indeed quite the treat to have her back in "fine form": Just exactly as she is right here and now!

love the song but idk if it was the arrangement of what GMA had but i could barely hear you sing. i heard the thank you much more loudly and clearly than the whole performance.
That's a common problem with performances on shows. The sound person rarely does a good setup for live performances.
Often when you think there is a good setup it's actually just an artist that uses playback instead of actually performing live.
A few shows manage to do a good setup, but most don't bother.
