  • Climbing the iconic Mt Sefton in the Mt Cook National Park, with descent by paraglider.
March 2022, 12th to 14th. Lionel Clay, Gorges Millet and Clemence Cadario walked in from the West Coast up the Copland Valley to climb the North ridge of Mt Sefton the next day, then flew off to Mt Cook village the following morning.
Clem flew in her single glider and Gorges Millets and Lionel as passenger in the tandem.

Wow what a rush it must have been! The climb, the bivvy and the flight out! Cannot imagine how it must feel but thank you for sharing. You remind me why although I'm in Aussy now, the landscapes of Aotearoa will always live inside me. Awesome stuff guys!!

Amazing! Was one of the paragliders a Tandem then? Lionel can’t have been piloting himself from there for his FIRST EVER FLIGHT??!
Taking the crampons off looked a bit hairy too! I shall have to keep an eye upwards in future in case they start falling from the sky!

    What a bivvi...awesome !!
Why remove crampons? Wear them and stick a 24point landing. No?
Beautiful film but was almost put off by that walk-in...that looked grim. The climbing looked interesting though but that bivvi...what a "room with a view"
    Truly beautiful...
    Great video guys...well done.

Fun, exciting, thanks for showing me a view that I'll never see in person. But QUESTION: Do you actually like this music or is this a copyright-free choice? I've heard this same song countless times and I've always wondered.
