In this clip, La Chat spoke about how things ended with Three Six Mafia after not receiving any royalties for her debut album, Murder She Spoke. if she sold 100k independently and charted on the Billboard 200, she SHOULD have gotten royalties from that album.
She couldn't have read her contract or had a lawyer.
She should have known the amount of albums she needed to sell to break even
@@gball4151 juicy j and dj paul are snakes and sold there souls to the industry, country black said it before in a vlad interview, but lil chat just so street and close to them like she said that they got over it eventually.
Especially if you wrote, arranged ect....
All depends on wut tha contract say. Gonna be yrs and YRS if she see any doe. If she got tha rt lawyer she can sue on grounds of being rushed to sign or being tricked to sign (so to speak). IF SHE GETS A DECENT LAWYER she'll be okay
She's telling you in so many words you think I fell off, but I'm behind the scene as your favorite rappers GHOST writer.💪🏽💯

She kept it all the way 100 and you can tell she really appreciate Juicy J and DJ Paul
She always gave it up to them for opening the door but business was never right for her.
She's authentic, straight hood and ain't takin shit from nobody
Did they ever pay her the money from the album tho ?
@@DjDeadHomie they all got paid
Yeah she did and does
Paul and juicy wrong for not paying her. Basically she never got any publishing.
How u going to do chat like that
You deserve some royalties for your music definitely . Salute Queen💯💯
Naw she really was breaking even! I know she gets a royalty check now! But production, videos, radio play, TV play, managers, clearing samples, all that isnt cheap! On top of that these niggas bought you a couple houses, cars, jewelry, and a personal side business!
Stop rushing to sign papers without lawyers

“Murder She Wrote” is still one of the Best Female Rap Albums Ever!!!
I love that at the end “ All work aint got to be seen . Just know we workin” 👏🏽
Paul and Juicy do not play about their money! They got a percentage for the labels (Sony- Koch- Hypnotize Minds), the production, being a feature artist, sampling their own songs, merchandise, publishing and management.. Damn!
They did it all!!! That’s how Paul & Juice got all the money!!! You only ate if you got publishing. They didn’t let artists have their own management.
low down 3-6 they rob they whole roster
The only artist on Hypnotize minds to not get fucked was Project Pat and that’s only because he’s Juicy’s brother 😂😂😂
So u sayin they all got played
@@mauricepickens5782 hell yea!
I like Paul and Juicy but they are bad with business men. They fucked over a lot of there artists.
Pat don't need no money..... He got cheese & dope
Lord infamous and Koopsta never complained.
It sucks that this situation broke them apart, but in reality juicy and Paul knew exactly what time it was with the money. They should’ve at least had accurate accounting available to La chat and her lawyers. How you gonna tell your own artist to “get a lawyer” when they simply ask about the money YOU told them they were supposed to get. If they wanted to take a bigger cut because they invested upfront into studio time, wardrobe, etc, I’m sure that wouldn’t have been a problem. La chat didn’t even do anything wrong and they shut her out just because they could.
I got love for Paul and Juicy they legends but they have a history of doing fuck shit to they artist . Look at what they did to Frayser Boy , he wrote Hard out here for a Pimp won them an Oscar and everything before they won they kept telling ppl Frayser Boy wrote it etc soon as they won that they changed up on interviews couldn't even give him props the night they won that shit he was standing right behind them on stage anyway yeah that was some snake shit and they have a history of it hence the lawsuit going on right now .
@@draztiktunez7104 man, that’s crazy! I heard things got slow for most members of the group at one point in time and Paul and juicy bought everyone’s publishing for pennies on the dollar because they knew that they really needed the money and that they didn’t really understand what they were doing. Apparently they still on everybody’s publishing till this day and that’s why there’s so much tension between all the members of the group
Agreed sounds like they were mentally abusing her.
I just love her. So glad she did the interview 💚

Murder she spoke album was cold as fuck I remember as a teenager in the early 2000s late 90s when Three 6 Mafia hypnotized minds hit the streets and that music hit the clubs man The rinks man we used to tear them things up man everything with some 36 and some project Pat them what them was the days and what's crazy is most of the music came from samples from Bobby Womack to Willie hutch to staxxs records and others straight Memphis
Juicy and paul knew damn well what happened to her money. She got swindled all the other HCP artist.
“Where my money.can’t believe they takin from me.all these units that I moved u niggas ain’t got nothin for me”she went in on that junt💯💪🏾
She got played like everybody else. Her mind was hypnotized
Production and record companies recoup all of the expenses an artist uses while doing a project and they charge you 20% to 30% interest on the charges it sounds like La Chat signed away most of of her publishing and royalties without knowing it never trust anybody with your publishing are royalties because it's like a social security check you get it for life.
I WAS JUST THINKIN BOUT LA CHAT FR
No friends in business, yes they had to cover the overhead but out of 250000 units sold she was due some kind of compensation.
250,000 Units roughly X $15 a copy works out to be = $3,750,000. Paul and Juicy could've break bread with La Chat atleast $500,000.
