It is wonderful how Lancelot seems to enjoy everyone and everything. What a sweet dog.
I love that little dog.
I was kinda worried being that he shied away from Marie & a few others at firstđą. But being new to the place he really didn't know that it could be anyone & everyoneđź, but All were super friendlyđ! Now he knows that He's The Marquesđ! The heartâ„of the home!!!
Isnât he ADORABLE???
dogs take after their owners.......and Lancelot has wonderful kind people around him.....
I do believe it's the breed and as long as no one tries to suppress them, they're active and happy. I think the Jack Russell has similar traits.
I love the tray as it is. Don't be tray snobs. đâ€
imagine a couple of champagne flutes being served on it, truly stunning
@karenhensel5803...I agree, I love the tray as it is .
and do not touch that rope border!
Venetian Murano etched mirror vanity tray.
one just like it, exact handles but green rope border sold at Live Auctioneers 2022.
it's a keeper, Stephanie! good eye!
Yes! It looks lovely as is.
@wweryyyy I highly suggest when you have the chance to go way back and watch the earlier episodes, they are all binge-watching worthy!
At 30 Euros, the tray is a bargain (if not a steal). What you have is a Midcentuey Modern Murano vanity tray, most likely by Ercole Barovier. Here in the US they can cost anywhere from 60 to over 1,000 dollars...depending on size, condidtion, etc.. And, whatever you do, don't remove the rope around the edge as it is also Murano, and not plastic!
Wow! Hope Steph sees this before they do something. Hope you are right though. Believe Steph can spot Murano at 50 yards....
@@hilltopgirl2665 I was lucky a few years ago, and picked up one of the larger trays for 5 US dollars. I was over the moon with that purchase. The only reason I knew it was Murano is that my last employer has one he bought, and he received one for his birthday.
If itâs not a knockoff.
But letâs hope for the best.
@@itzel1735 As far as Im aware, these trays haven't been made in over 50 years, so it's highly unlikely it's a knock off. I've been collecting for over 60 years, and have only seen a handful of them during that time.
@@DouglasRehrer
I defer to the expert of course.
Both of my grandmaâs had things inspired by this type of glass, though neither as large nor as finely detailed.
I know yellow is your favourite colour Stephanie, but you really pop in powder blue!!
Well we know that Phillip will be running down to the new BROCANTE asap ! Great idea about moped rentals and the new Bar!
Hopefully to buy the peacock fire screen 2:19
They can take the things they no longer want to their village brocante. đ đŠ
As soon as Steph pointed out that mirror tray, I was thinking "Oh, be sure to get THAT!" So I was pleasantly please to find that she did get it. She & Phillip will be super enthused once they find out that it is a Mid-Century Murano and rarely seen. Hopefully they read the comments before taking it apart. I think it's beautiful just the way it is.
Oh, just googled and found one similar for sale for 700 eurosđź Hope Stephanie's tray is authentic. I think it's strange with a plastic frame for a Murano tray.......
@@Winnie-hq5hs I was wondering about if it really was plastic, but with their eye, it must be, so perhaps like you say, it may be a copycat piece.
The porcelain you used for dinner is GORGEOUS!
I agree with you Stephanie, a beautiful little village.
The paintings upstairs at the cafeâŠwhat a surprise to see Chateau Lalande there!
At the rate things are going, guests are going to be staying just to have time with Lancelot. Too adorable. Love the village and how everyone is working together to bring it to life. That is the exact kind of place in France I'd want to live. Best to all.
Stephanie, you really need to slow down... I can't bear to watch you wear yourself out on account of us. We can do without a video for a few days. Please take care of yourself. You were so sick yesterday. Love ya my dear.
She thought that she had the man flu but she would have been out of service for a month if that were the case! She had a woman flu, bare it & keep going! What a woman!
Same â€
or just be home at the chateau more. Except, i look forward to seeing her at Chelsea.
@@jomeyer13 I hear ya! I love this channel but there are times I shake my head and wonder how the others don't all get sick. I freak out if I know someone is sick and they come near me... Ijust wish she doesn't wear herself out in the near future.
Completely agree !!
Congratulations to the new Cafe and brocante. Marie and Phillip, another beautiful dinner meal and service.â€
Another local gathering place for your guests. Bravo!
I wonder if they have a patio that looks out onto the little river/creek? Also, I hope they serve soup & salad, quiche, croissants, and other French favorites.
I was hoping youâd get the tray. I thought youâd get the green and gold vanity set also. Youâll have to go back! đđđđđ
Your village is gorgeous. Thank you all. Marie looked extra pretty today.
She looks pretty with her hair pulled back, and it is more "to code" while cooking. Back in the day, we used to have to work with nets over our hair while preparing food. ~Tara
I love Maria, sheâs a darling! â€
@@tiffcat1100 agree she is such a sweetheart......
Stephanie, the tray you have is from Venice. I purchased one exactly like it in Venice. I paid over $500 Eurols for it. My handles are metal. The round edging is glass also.
LaLanders are so sweet and warm and welcoming...â€â€â€..and Phillip's witty reply to Stephanie was priceless...God bless you all â€â€â€
Plates are stunning ! Please tell your viewers the makers mark of anything you use for dinner service ! Learning is great
not much said about his setting. He needs to vlog it himself then.
I so love Phillipâs response to Stephanie telling him about the dressing table set. âAnd you came back with this???â He sounded so disappointed. LOL!!
My thought as well!
Heâs so cheeky!
đđ
Yes indeed, that face if him, marvelous
Return the tray!!!lol
Marie is so happy with that addition Amaury put in the kitchen. Much more efficient and easier on her back.
Such a quaint and pretty village and just a hop, skip and a jump away from Lalande that your guests are sure to enjoy. What a treat to see the Marquis' suite in use.
I must have very kitcsh taste; I love the tray, including the brass handles! đ€Ł
Me too. đ
I got so excited when I saw the tray. I have one just like it. I think itâs beautiful. Itâs a Venetian Etched Mirror /Murano Glass Tray. Itâs a very special item.
Chateau de LaLande is helping to breathe new life into the village, which is wonderful to see because it must always have been a focal point of village life, employing people to work the farmland once owned by the family and to service the chateau.
It would be wonderful if Chateau de LaLande could have a cafe open year-round that served the basics like soup & salad, quiche, croissants, and perhaps a few other French classics ...perhaps they could build a special semi-detached (with a connected covered corridor, perhaps glassed in) big high open 'tea room" with several skylights, and filled with plants & windows on all sides that looked out onto the future lake ...almost like a huge old fashioned wrought-iron conservatory painted white as their cafe & event room for special occasions like weddings ...it would be such a wonderful way to serve the local village & surrounding area/community.
Id like to learn more historic details about it and villages.
â@@kindlydudeI have had always the same idea ... love it !!
I can imagine myself feeding the swans by the lake... đ
Well Stephanie you got a bargain with that Barovier Murano Etched Mirror Tray, I have one very similar to yours and I love it, there are quite afew on ebay but not for the bargain price you paid, Well done†đđŒ
Lancelot is such a dear
Please keep the tray as it is, plastic pie crust edge and all, in it's own wacky way, it works, and a bit of decorating irony in the chateau is not a bad thing. It would make a delightful dresser tray. I often find myself attracted to objects that defy good taste, but speak to me, and I've never regretted bringing them into my home. Well, almost never. Never go shopping after two martinis . . .
Philip does the skeptical bit. Funny to see it reversed!đ
âand you brought back this?â Ha ha ha
Stephanie is the first person I've ever seen age backwards, every few weeks she looks ten years younger than before, specially considering she has lost weight as well.
She has been using an electronic thing to rejuvenate the skin and they sponsor.
Philip is a very lucky man! đ
@@keithj3223 it must be the first gadget that actually does work because she looks incredible
@@keithj3223Foreo, I think?
@@keithj3223 Tracy at Chateau de la Lacelle is also using it and the difference is amazing.. She works hella hard always but looks younger each video
Brilliant! Actually, I wouldnât remove the kitschy transparent plastic rope border. At the time, it was a very chic, precious, newly invented material. Otto Röhm invented POLYMETHYL METHACRYLATE or acrylic glass and had it patented in 1933đ
SO many treasures at that brocante! Please, ask Philip to bring a camera, when he goes down there and buys the lot! đ The tray was a good buy(to beđ)!
my daughter lives in Paris at the moment
I miss her every day.
when i watch my daily vlog from La Lande. As i sit on my Balcony in Sydney, I dream of visiting you allâŠ. how amazing would that be!
Iâve been watching from the very beginning and you all still bring me joy!
Love and best wishes to you all!
I knew you would get that tray! Perfect for your perfumes and things on your dressing table!
Actually a little tour of the village would be nice! Yes, I do remember the pub you went to in Cadeaux. Wonderful †Ahahahaha Marue's all about the foam now!
I think we saw the whole thingđ
what actually is ''foam'' is it whipped cream or fake whipped cream?
Foam is a flavoured creamy topping, say the dried raspberries Marie ordered, that has high powered air added, via the siphon Stephanie bought, to cream to make it foamy. Very chi-chi Lol and delicious.
I think the tray is nice and I actually quite like the handles. Perfect for tea in bed!
This was really great! Love the little village and the painting of the chateau on the wall at the new cafe! How amazing!
I must admit, france really does do the best on the perfect unspoilt village. Things really do take time.
You have such a friendly village. Xx
Unspoiled villageđŻ ! Is good a expression!đ countrysides are beautiful when left to there charming and quaint time capsuled places
lancelot has really come into his own. thinking back to the sweet, but timid little guy that arrived at the chateau and now he is the life of the party! thanks for posting
I love Stephanieâs face when she had to âpass by the brocante â đ
My first time catching Stephanie LIVE, I'm Soooo Excited!!!
What a lovely, friendly little dog Lancelot is,he makes me smile.đ
I canât wait for the Kitchen refresh! I think there should be a special place for Marie to post the nights menuđœïžđ„†The green China set is Scrumptious!
It is booked in to complete on the Twelfth of Never
"It's so bad its good" ? All of a sudden I have "Bad Taste" that I didn't know about, because I LOVE the tray!!! LOL
Lancelot is as sociable as its owners!!!â€â€â€
I can't believe philip would rather light a fire rather than go out with Stephanie! Or that she could not wait 5 minutes for him to light it..!
Yes..... And he only lit it when she got back.
I had a feeling you would be leaving with the tray.đđđ
I loved that tray immediately, I was glad that's what you picked. What a cozy dining space, and Stephanie, your dress is the perfect compliment for that room. You look beautiful
Pretty soon people will be booking at Lalande to be with Lancelot!!! He is an absolute gem!!!
I keep my little dog in his box/cage when visitors come.
Love the tray. Have seen a couple here in NC. They sell for over $200.
A comment simply to add that I enjoy every glimpse of life at Lalande, in the local communities and in your travels that you share with us, including Marie's guest dinner preparations and on to serving from starters to desserts. Marie''s charming personality only adds to the sublime flavors of the amazing dishes that lucky guests get to savor.
Perhaps the folks at Chateau Love would be interested in that green and gold Art Nouveau set?
Nope! Mine!!!!â€â€â€â€
or put in philip's shop
The tray is charming as it is!
So glad you got the tray
How lovely to see the whole villeage community come out to the café and wine bar opening. It will mean a great deal to have this space to gather and stop by. I can't imagine an English villeage without a single Pub, every villeage needs a social hub however small or simple, and this one has loads of space inside and out, charm, and crazy cheap prices so that was a smart thing for Lalande to support with some finances. I'm sure it means something to the villeage that you are involved a little bit, and care.
â€đ
Aw, dear Lancelot is welcoming everyone â€. He is a dear little creature x.
â€â€â€
The Painting of LaLande at the BrocanteâŠbrought tears to my eyes.
đą
Hope you'll visit corzon often and take us with you. It's just lovely.
Hello beautiful community! â€
Great Brocante !!! Nice items displayed and diversity too!â
A great vlog Stephanie! I'm so happy to see your little town with all the stuccoed houses and the stream! How superb to have a Brocante and a Little shop with food and Drinks! Excellent dinner table setting with the green glasses and the food looked scrumptious! Enjoy!!!
Beautiful. The tray is you
Stephanie has such natural beauty without makeup on and she always looks joyful, happy and gorgeousâŠthe type of person you want to get to know in real life. When she is out and about, dressed up and wearing makeup, she looks absolutely graceful and beautiful and soooo happy and cheerful. I believe , Stephanie is the type of person who would make you feel accepted into her group, if you were travelling alone and happened to met her. I think her and Philip are such a perfect match, too! â€ïžfrom đšđŠ
Oh! That green dressing table set! đ
it was/is exceptional!
a more rare olivine color and perfectly executed embossed gold chrysanthemums. đ
It was gorgeous! Hope Stephanie gets it!
Thank you for another lovely episode! đ«¶đđ«¶
That is so wonderful, to see new meeting places in the village!
I just opened a small shop myself past August in our small, remote village, even with a terrace and the opportunity to have coffee/tea and some snacks, charge electric bikes etc. And a caricature artist, so people can have themselves drawn! đ
It takes a loooong time here to get some traffic, but Iâm patient. đ
Marie is a true chef, Iâm so impressed every time! đđ
Pleeeeeaaaase, go back and get the green & gold Vanity Set! It definitely belongs at Lalande đ
Iâm glad you are feeling better! Thanks for sharing your day with us!
Marie's dishes always seem amazing and I am always jealous I am not there. I'll have to change that and figure out a way how I can enjoy one of her meals in person!
Donât allow Phillipâs dislike for the tray sway your opinion. Itâs a pretty tray. Just use it as it is. If you try to change it up you may mess it up.
Wow, itâs all happening. May you all please take care and stay safe. Louisa. đđđâ€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïžđ€©đ€©đ€©
That dining room is divine , the meal looks superb and Phillip creates an ambiance and table that just glows with beautiful details . Thank you for sharing all the village events too ! All so exciting !
Yay for the village and double yay for that fantastic tray!!!!â€
Hey Stephanie, could we please get an overall update of the Chateau? There are many rooms and many project we just haven't seen or been updated on in a long time. For example, Nati's room, the china pantry room, the leaking bathroom...?
Brocante and a cafe - perfecto !!!
I love that tray, so glad you picked it up
It's seems that Stephanie is some kind off Billy Petherick. They have to move around all the time. Thank God that Philip is calm.
That brocant was amazing! You always have such lavish dinners!â€â€
Marie is the creator.
Nice little town.
My first LaLande premier all the way from the beginning
The cafe is delightful!! Another beautiful dinner service too! You all are living a dream â€
Stephanie, at one time you had an antique crib in your attic.
Have you thought about restoring it and making a little bed for Lancelot and his future sister??
OOOOMMMGGG I love the Marquis apartment so much. I enjoyed staying there and wish I would be there next weekend more than I can say.đ„đŸ
Beautiful Tray!! Thanks for another wonderful video!
Adore the tray in all its plastic framed glory đ
What a delightful vlog! I love your little village - the people look so friendly and welcoming. As soon as as I saw the green Art Nouveau dresser set, I thought of Vivienne and Simon from Chateau Love.
Perfect weather here is Arizona today high of 85 degrees and sunshine galore late afternoon here.
What a lovely cafe...Best of luck to the new proprietor!
I absolutely love the tray! You could use it for perfume bottles or prop it up on a shelf. Very pretty. I would not turn my nose to it.
What a lovely town. I wish I could hop on a plane and stay awhile. đŠ
What a lovely day! The village is so charming ! I wasnât aware the river ran through the village. Itâs beautiful.Wishing the cafe and the brocante much success. What a surprise to see the painting of the chateau. I think when you go back to the brocante you may come home with the dressing table set . Marie you are amazing!
This melted my heart. I love yours and the local support of your village. Itâs so important to encourage and vote with our funds to those creating/making/farming local to wherever we are. Thank you for encouraging and highlighting these wonderful businesses. â€ïž
Iâm hoping to finally come stay at LL next year!
kitchen looks wonderful without that lounge and the curtains.
Oh my gosh..... Tonight's plates are the most spectacular ones ever. Well the entire dinner set. When you had that footage of the main course with the chicken it looked so amazing on the plate. It's by far my fav one so far. Please use it more often. It's a pleasure to the eye.
Stephanie that green glass dresser set with gold flowers has your name on it in the new shop in town. What a lovely town. That painting of Lalande at the new pub just shows that it's part and parcel of the region.
Leave it as is. The surround and handles make it look sweet and decorative.
I went and walked the village on google earth. So lovely.
A bit of a flippant comment from Philip about the tray purchase. Not nice to curb someone's enthusiasm. Lancelot is the happiest little dog. Another great meal, Marie.
I hope thatâs not a real oil painting above the wood burner đł. I trust it is not đ
Hi Stephanie! How wonderful that you see some life bringing bought to your local area! And with that! Although not ready for the public, it has an ode to how important your chateau is to the local area. Does that not just give you a feeling that youâre carrying on its life. And how itâs respected to everyone. đ
Not surprised about the cancellations. The weather, ATC strikes etc etc
Marie makes the best menus, and such a gorgeous table again!
Itâs like the village in Beauty and the Beast â€
