Just what I was looking for. I'm here in Phoenix, AZ - Zone 9B. Sonoran Desert and the hottest big city in the US. Hectias and Dyckias are real troopers here. Suggestions from anyone? Hardly have a freeze and its only for a few hours when it happens, if at all. I do have lots of shade. Grow tropicals. Have a monstera hedge -huge, banana trees, etc.

Sheba is vary sun tolerant. I'm in southeast Florida Fort Lauderdale area and it's one of my favorite bromeliads for low-growing/colorful and sun tolerant

Any tank type bromeliad can be grown epiphytically... the architecture of the plant will determine the specific place it can be grown. Great question, thanks for watching!

Your USDA zone is really helpful in determining temperature ranges, but latitude will determine sun exposure a bit better. Still, your latitude in Texas will make for a less intense sun the further north you are. Thanks a lot for watching!
