Video covers a drive through the newly constructed Expressway between Bangalore and Mysore. The new Kaveri Expressway reduces the travel time between Bangalore and Mysore from 3 hours to 90 minutes.

1. Bangalore Mysore Expressway is 117km long
2. The Kaveri Expressway was constructed in two phase
56 km Phase 1 between Bengaluru - Nidaghatta
61 km Phase 2 between Nidaghatta - Mysore
3. Total budget of Bangalore Mysore Expressway: 8350cr
4. Foundation stone laid for the project on March 2018
5. Contract awarded for Phase-1 and Phase 2 to Bhopal-based Dilip Buildcon
6. Its a 10 Lane Express Way - six lanes (three on each side) for carriageway and four lanes for service roads (double-lane) along the entire path.
7. Expressway Consist of 9 Large Bridges, 44 Small Bridges 4 Railway Over Bridges and 50 underpasses for vehicles and pedestrians
8. Expressway skips major cities via 6 bypass
9. The Six bypass roads are at Srirangapatna, Mandya, Maddur, Channapattana, Ramanagara and Bidadi
10. The bypass linking Ramanagara and Channapatna will be the longest, covering a distance of 22.35 km.
11. Srirangapatana bypass is 7Km Long
12. Mandya Bypass is 10Km Long
13. Bidadi Bypass is 7Km Long
14. Maddur bypass is 7km long

They could have built concrete median. And if they planed it well they could have added high speed bike lanes too.

Approximately how many stretches of the highway is the work still pending?
As of 25th Feb 2023, towards Mysore almost 100% is completed. Towards bangalore connection to two flyover was pending
Actually towards Mysore, on 3 streches each 1-2 kms long, work is pending, I had been there the day before
@@cardrivingindiaenglish4526 good. That means around 112 Km out of 118 km is ready...hope to see the remaining three stretches get ready ASAP..Pratap Simha has said that the PM will inaugurate the whole highway but i doubt it happening. At most he will inaugurate Phase 1 which is 100% ready
8500 crore will have to be paid back in form of Toll tax.. 🙂🙂🙂 Now question is how much of 8500 was kickbacks or commission 🤔🤔🤔 It is obvious in India that any project cost is not 100% actual. That also to be paid by citizen. 🙂🙂

But we are able to see some development now, which is more important.
You are right. But just imagine, 30% income tax slabs + GST + Cess + Toll Tax. What is total outgo from one's pocket ? Perhaps, more than 50% of our income is given in Nation Building. At times, we are left with no money to take care of our own family, ageing parents, specially post pandemic. Many has ended life in financial trauma after pandemic. My point is, every penny of our tax contribution ought to spend wisely. There is no room for lapse. There should not be. Citizen need to be watchful for that.
