New Male Lion Throws His Weight Around Gets Himself in Big Trouble - Virtual Safari

- A new male lion on Londolozi, the Skorro Breakaway Male, arrives and tries to make a name for himself by roaring and scent marking in the middle of his rival's territory, the Black Dam Males.
After spending an exceptional morning following him around as this male lion roared, he then walked down into the river where we were unable to follow him. As we turned around we found the rivals, the Black Dam Males following his scent directly into the river.
They then waited for nightfall before hearing the Skorro Breakaway Male call again and then launched an attack.
I love hearing lions roar. It's terrifying yet majestic.
He is just magnificent! His roar I can feel right down to my toes. The two other lions are equally as impressive.

Never know, he could've been traveling with a coalition partner who was killed in this territory.. Maybe a pair were checking out territory, maybe even planning a takeover when one was killed leaving this guy. He may still be trying to plan a takeover while calling for his brother who may just be dead. Who knows. That's pretty ballsy for a lone nomad but I guess not impossible either.

Honestly I've never seen 2 lions losing a fight vs only 1 lion where they retreat & run! It's always the 2 winning! But I've seen 1 huge ass lion vs 4 big ass lion & he somehow & someway survived the onslaught attack they put on him! I think he got lucky bcuz it was in the hot ass sun out in the open & they just gave up on jumping him! He's fuckin HUMONGOUS tho my friend! If u look it up? It's on here (YT) but just wow wow wow. This Scorro Young Male is such a character. He used to sneak around with the Avoca Pride in the Timbavati until the 4 Northern Black Dam males kicked him out. So I guess he’s come down south to try his luck with the Southern Black Dam Males? 😅 He would do so well if he could find a partner… and always good to see the two Black Dams growing in dominance and confidence!

This Sand River area is stunning like a beautiful beach. I feel that all three Lions look impressive. Whats also impressive is how unified and strategic BDM are (theme song 'Tiptoe Through rhe Tulips'🌷 ⛱😂). I would love to see Skorro Jr partner with Nkuhuma, and or Tumbela Males.
I miss watching all these Beautiful Majestic creatures. I used to watch Djuma faithfully. My favorite King Lion was Nguvu, the day they announced his death, I was heartbroken, I followed that Beautiful male since he was a cute adorable cub, he was definitely special with Bloodlines of warriors RIP King Nguvu❤❤❤

He is a very impressive young male lion. I think he does look bigger than both the Black Dam Males, so if it was a 1 v 1 against each of them he could walk out on top.

@@augustusmageto7435the black Dam males are clearly no longer at their prime anymore, it’s so obvious if you look at their back legs. The young male is a fully grown adult enough his confidence is a a reason: he is well built. In 1 vs 1 he would definitely be in advantage.

Indigenous peoples like native Americans and Australian Aboriginals have long mastered the art of tracking. Even these safaris have professional trackers to find the animals.

The "law of the jungle", "the survival of the fittest" et al is what sustains life on Earth. We humans have pushed our numbers to the edge of over-population, if not actually over it. Moving to Mars will not be an option - the Gobi Desert is far more fertile, from what we can see and it's only a short trip away.
The skorro male is a beautiful monster. Hope he can find a coalition partner or two to better his chances of passing on his genes.

Very Exciting & On Edge Moment!
Skorro Jr is a beautiful big boy who seems to enjoy making Grand Entrances Roarrring. The last time that I saw him he was displaying the same behavior in the Timbavati when he tried to steal the stunning and formidable Birmingham Breakaway Male carcass who was without his brothers at the time. He didn't take the carcass, however, he strutted off like a true King roarrring announcing his presence to surrounding Prides and I haven't seen him since until now. Skorro is not afraid to wonder alone, it seems to be his preference. He is very lucky to escape and I can't wait to get an update on him. I would love to see him with Dark Mane's sons or Nkuhuma Male and Tumbela. I don't know if he is accepting of a coalition partner or partners, he seems to be very bold and dominating. He's an absolute joy to encounter, hopefully, the Guide can catch up with him again. I Love Skorro Jr!

They see the humans and the vehicles they’re in as one. So to the lion it’s too big to attack. Now if one of the humans got out of the vehicle and started walking or running away from the vehicle I’m sure it would be a different story.

Sometimes though nature can be very cruel and tough and although tough to watch, I would rather watch an animal doing what nature intended it to do rather than some horrible human who get pleasure from hurting animals in the name of “sport” and there are lots of those horrific video’s on youtube. These lions are impressive , but not so impressive like the other group of animals in this clip . Watching the train of caterpillars is something which is really amazing . Seeing that tiny insect navigating in a group is nothing else than a WTH moment . Beautiful and bizzare nature . The question is ; how can this caterpillar communicate and organize a migration from a to b in such a bizzare way ? I'd say it's the design of the Creator and his creation .
It doesn't matter how big and tough the lion is, it's a numbers game when it comes to survival in the wild.

I have been among lions in S. Africa - sharing a jeep with others. I was amazed that lions surrounded our jeep full of human protein and yet didn't sample any of it - it was sitting there for the taking.
