This update has made everything look sweet, water and clouds especially, but the framerate is taking a big hit and there seems to be a lot of Aliasing especially in the Space Station, im sure this will be fixed with a patch. I would also like to see water drip down in front of the mask when surfacing that would definitely add to the Immersion.
quick tip for you. Setup the reflections to normal, not high, not ultra, and you will be surprised. There's some kinda bug I think that the reflections are not being correctly displayed in high and ultra settings. Once you turn the reflections (just the reflections, not the other stuff) to normal, you will be very surprised how gorgeous it can be
This makes another of my great returns to NMS. After finishing the Elden Ring dlc, I needed something more relaxed to play. All the new content looks amazing, and the new species that are part of the new story quest are really cool!! Hopefully they get the VR2 bugs sorted soon, but I'm still quite content playing it flat in the meantime.
FYI the expedition is supposed to start tomorrow. And you don’t start it from a new game anymore. You start it from a terminal next to the Quicksilver vendor in the Anomaly on your main save.
I don't play No Man's sky often, but waterfalls look awesome! Is there a way I can just travel to a specific planet you or someone else has found like "Doug"?
There's a NMS coordinate exchange subreddit, or if you're in the discord I can post the coords to my planet in there for ya. The one on reddit looks pretty nuts with mountains.
Sadly this does not work on PS5 PSVR1 at all. I tried it 3 times and the same exact thing happened every time: after starting a game it would go the star screen and crash taking you to the bug report screen.
So how many hours do you have on that 8 year old save file lol . Hold up jest seen end of vid 619 hours, man that’s amazing amount of time in just one game, talk about getting your money worth out of it
They'll get it fixed. There's always some issues day 1, especially with HUGE updates like this. In the meantime, there ARE planets and things that work ok. For now I'm avoiding the Swampy planets mostly.
@@Deanomaximus we have all that in more my point was that the game is runing on low graphics settings in playsation players just execpt it as normal if u ever touch a pc u would understand just how bad no manys sky looks on ps5
You're judging by compressed youtube flat livestream footage. INSIDE the headset, Eye tracked foveated rendering makes makes it ULTRA sharp, OLED + HDR makes it super colorful, also has better haptics, adaptive triggers, and headset rumble, and higher FPS. All this on a $500 console. I've played both versions, it ain't even close brotha. PC versions still good though.

@@Deanomaximus I just played the PCVR version for about an hour to compare, PSVR2 hands down and it ain't even close bro. Better quality (even when pcvr is on max) and better features.
The game always looks sweet but I wish it was more fun to play; i put so many hours into the game but just found myself always being bored, it sucks cause it’s so pretty of a game, it be sweet if it had a bunch of sweet games you can play at different places; like mini golf or rail shooters at different places
While there’s no traditional mini-game type stuff, there’s some fun to be had if you make it happen. Aside from exploring, I enjoy getting into some epic battles in either ground, planet, or space, racing on my racetracks I built, etc. but the scenery from exploring is amazing.

Report it to their Zen Desk, they can probably fix it. I'm pretty sure people said it works on PS4, so it's likely just a bug

Yeah, and that’s just my main save, and each big update I add about 50 hours lol.
This game is just unplayable for me. The framerate is all over the place. They should focus on that for VR.

im so glad i went from playstation to pc they dont relize that this is the LOWEST GRAPICS SETTINGS lol playstation players just expect this as normal
Flat screen maybe but it looks so much better on psvr2 than on pcvr. Dynamic foveated rendering is awesome

You can build an entire city ,it takes a lot of time and I’m just starting mine
