When a monster enters the spell and trap zone it’s considered a spell card, thereby it does not have types or attributes till it enters the gave and become a monster again

This is exactly the problem we encountered at locals. We changed things up since the same players were in the tournament every week, and decided we'd do a Character Deck theme Tourney. Everybody picked a character from the anime/manga, and built as good a deck as possible combining the characters key cards with metagame staples (MST, Bottomless Trap Hole, ect ect).
Aaaaaaand it didn't take long into the first round for the endless "I end my turn" cycle to kick in.

Yo that first move Triggered did at the start of the duel was actually really good. Not only did he disrupt any play Six could have had, but he also managed to get Buster Blader out on the field
way late to this but it was an illegal move lol you can't activate cards set spells or traps same turn you set them lol
@@ianlawvoiceover1056 he used monster reborn tho, which is just a regular spell, not a quickplay spell. so it doesn’t matter if you set it you can still use it normally, It’s just unable to be used at the same speed and times as trap cards and quickplay spells.
@@ianlawvoiceover1056 You can't activate quick play spells, or trap cards the turn you set them. Triggered only activated set normal spell cards, which is completely legal. Triggered play was really good.
