How to Learn Your Scales

Here are some basic practice techniques for help learning your scales (so you can pass you scale exams and become a great musician!).

My trumpet/trombone teacher had me write scale names on a piece of paper and put them in a container so when I practiced my scales, I would draw them out randomly and this helped me to memorise them. I like your method of blowing and fingering without blowing through the trumpet first. I'll have to give this a go.
