I learned to play LaVilla without a double bass. Just a simple five piece set, and three fairly crappy cymbals, BUT developing a keen sense of timing to compensate for other shortcomings, I learned strange and new time signatures (5/4, 7/4, 9/8, 11/8) thanks to Rush. I could play 5:55 perfectly because it was a part I could learn without needing anything more than I had. Good catch!

5:14 is just built up so well! I think the drums help really well to build up to the reprise of “Monsters” with that AWESOME riff! Also 6:19 is a crazy fill and you pulled it off perfectly!
