Full Facial and Eyebrow Threading in Pattaya Thailand

- I was strolling through the Naklua Walking Street festival (a special event) in Pattaya Thailand with Noochi, eating tons of amazingly delicious local Thai food. I stumbled upon a tent with many ladies threading people's faces... I had always wanted to try this, but still have never tried yet.
We first asked the price, and the ladies all said it is 100b each. We happily agreed.
There was a man in charge, named Noom, and when he saw that I wanted to video the threading, then he quickly decided to do it.
Noochi went first. They put what looked like white chalk all over the face. Then, he went to work using the thread in rhythm -- through his hands, teeth, and her face. He was quick.
Then it was my turn. I bravely let him do his work. my face felt strange, and it did sting a little here and there.
When it came time to pay, the ladies quickly insisted that I should pay 500b for both of us... Before we started, we were clearly told by multiple staff that everyone is charged 100b each. Staff explained that it is 100b each, but the extra 300b is for his time.
What is funny is that I may have tipped even higher than that...
I knew this was not what we agreed to, but I just paid it. At least I had my first threading experience.
Price told before starting was 100b/each
Price asked for at the end: 500b/2 people ($15 USD)

Wow, he is REALLY good, so professional! I have had my eyebrows done in Chiang Mai and have to say it hurts but love the final look. Not sure about the whole face, maybe that is something to work my way up too. Thanks for another great video Jason! :)

Thing is they can still do it even if you pay beforehand by giving excuses like how it was more work than they initially thought or something.

I like threading. In Iowa, the city i used to live in i found a lady who did threading. Not sure what country she came from, around India I believe. She could shape your eyebrows, get stray hairs or do the whole face. So good and exact, at good prices.

In the future always record negotiations and agreed price. I remember you buying clothing, hat etc. The prices were all on the recording.
Yes I just wasn't ready for what happened. They totally surprised me, since the price was already all understood... then after the surprising new price, I finally realized I need to turn on the camera and record it.

You should get your eyebrows threaded sometime, @Jason Rupp! I'm a male and it's not just for females. I go to an indian place near me (U.S) and they do a great job and it is very soothing in a way. I just tell them "clean-up" and they just shape it naturally. It comes out really goood!
I really want to go back and try another place for eyebrow threading, I agree.
@@JasonRuppVlog It's a good experience. This video shows like a rush job for eye brows. In a real eye brow threading session, they are really focused and take time to sculpt your brows. Sometimes soothing indian music is in the background. They will ask you at the end "lotion?" and if you say yes, they will massage your brows with soothing lotion that feels good after your brows feel sore. Sometimes they use this floury tissue around your brows that also feels good when resting. Looking forward to your video on it!

You should try daoliao knife massage somewhere. I know there is a place in Taipei Taiwan that does it but look up daoliao, which is the type of massage (an ancient chineese knife massage)

When you initially hear they up charged you from 100b to 500b, I thought, HOLY COW!!!...But then, you learn that equals $15 USD... I don't feel so shocked.. What was the reality check was how excited he was to receive that amount... So, to summarize... My perception is the poverty level there must be dismally low and our cost of living here(United States...WISCONSIN!) is dismally high!!!
