Hi Malte, do you know where I can get the handpan that Morgane was playing here? It's absolutely beautiful. Herzlichen Dank!
Ayasa Instruments, however, I don't know if they still have the pan on sale 🛸
♡ ♡ ♡
💛
I wonder if these instruments are mic'ed with effects like echo, reverb, sustain etc.. In any case, I think this is beautiful and would sound even better with harp, flute and bell.
Thank you. God bless everyone.
Malte typically applies "lots of reverb". This to me sounds like a natural echo from being in a church, plus Malte's usual reverb preset. He probably used his portable Zoom Audio Recorder and applied the reverb in post. But the ember steel handpan from Ayasa have a very long natural sustain. Its a bit of everything.
@@CharlieMaris thank you. And the material that these handpans are made of is brass?
@@normanschmidt8389 its a specific type of stainless steel called ember steel. It gets that color from a heat treatment.
@@CharlieMaris thank you. Do you play this instrument? You seem knowledgeable about it. Any history? Like who developed it and when, where? I really appreciate your taking time to enlighten me. I have only been aware of this a very short time. If I were to guess, I would say that it seems of Brazilian or Caribbean island origin. Maybe African?
@@normanschmidt8389 Yes, I do play the handpan, and I have some of my playing on my channel. It was invented in Switzerland by a duo called Pan Art in 2000 who typically made Trinidad Steelpans. They have the trademark on the "Hang". The same hang as in the Band Hang Massive. The idea is to combine hand playing of things like the Indian ghatam drum and the tuned steel of Trinidad steelpan.
With woman - is harmony
🥰
where is alex 😥
😊🙏❤🤍❤
She looks nervous and stressed. But nice played lovely as always ✨
What an amazing performances. Am I crazy or is Morgane playing the pan the other way around with the high notes towards her body? I've never seen anyone play that way.
If you want to try something different you can use the higher notes as root notes and have them closer to your body
@@innerpeace42232 never done that, will give it a try.
