Up the platform to the #1 train from 242nd VanCortland Park... xfer to the A @ 168th - all the way to 42nd ST - You and your crew - Remember those days... Songs like this... head noddin' Thanks De La Soul... Even when we watched the National Guard march and chase past the hotel lobby in Virginia Beach in '89 - Yeah - saw it, lived it, grateful I'm still here... remember it all. Peace to all
I've been listening to De la Soul since I could recall, I've always considered these guys dope artists when it comes to hiphop and life. I respect you guys so much. I hope and pray you all stay together forever. Never had the chance to see the group together when they come to the uk. Peace Guys!
I know i love De La. But sometimes i give them a break for a bit. When i go back i love them even more. personally De LA Soul and Wu Tang have to be the best groups ever. if you disagree, i don't care. WU LA forever. That wont catch on. I know.
*Super Dave West* is the Producer. J Dilla is assumed to produce a lot of beats for De La Soul. The Only ones I know are *"Stakes Is High", "Peer Pressure" (feat. Cypress Hill), Much More (feat. DJ Premier), & "Verbal Clap"* . There are other tracks where De La Soul rapped on J Dilla/Jay Dee beats, but that was like unofficial songs on mixtapes an other rare release type situations. Those can't be counted because J Dilla/Jay Dee didn't officially produce that track for them although still 🔥.... Songs such as *"Relax"* over the beat for *"Do You"* , a song by Slum Village.
Chorus and middle samples are from the rock band Kansas. The song is called "Nobody's Home". "So far I've come to find there's no one here, no life I fear, I came for nothing, they have gone, and Nobody's Home."
If it wasn’t for a playlist I had made in Spotify called “Source Samples” where I catalog the original songs of my favorite hip hop samples I may never have found it again.
