Watching this video still makes me cry everytime. It's such a poignant and emotional song and is so brutally honest.
Still love going back to these reactions. This song and band means so fucking much to me. I was right up front for them at When We Were Young. That whole experience, especially them playing this song, will always be one of the greatest highlights of my life.

I've watched a lot of reactions on yt of this song. It touches me that so many people who are new to blink and old fans especially are impacted by this song. I grew up with blink. I dressed like Tom did especially in the take off your pants and jacket phase. I even learned guitar back in high school up until now. I'm 38. I've played guitar in a blink cover band thru high school with friends. Playing mostly at parties. When Tom left like most of us I was devasted and don't get me wrong I love what he did with AVA. This song especially for us growing up with them hits so hard. I haven't talked to some of my high school friends in a decade and when I heard this song I sent it to them and we are talking again and talking about all the memories this band gave us growing up. That's the power this song has. It's made me want to write more music again on my own. I've met blink when they released the self titled album at a best buy in orange county. It was a meet and greet. They are amazing and meeting Tom who is my favorite guitarist actually gave me a hug and I love that memory so much. So this song means so much and I can't wait for the new album and again I love hearing your story listening to them growing up ❤

..... we recently lost a longtime friend a few weeks back, and that just... I've been struggling with regrets about his choice to leave us (yes, the innuendo is purposeful to bypass censors lol) and while logically we know one thing, our emotions make us feel another. I started crying exactly at the same spot you did, and, I've never been a huge Blink fan but, damn. They hit a chord with this one in me.

Yes this song got me good, even though it's about the band it made me think about life, the world and how it also applied to me as some others might. The song definately had me crying and honestly you just need to tell someone that you love them or that they are loved, that could mean the world to them or at least make their day. It's great nostalgia that is probably going to heal a number of people and friendships that have dwindled over the years.
Maybe not for the channel, but you should check out Alex Melton's version of this. He takes it back to the old style blink. He's a massive Blink-182 fan and often takes other songs and does it in their style.

My best friend Richard and I have held to our friendship more than 40 years...we were buddies in elementary school, and still hold strong to this day. This video got me emotional, because I can relate to their historic flashback images. Richard and I have enough stories to produce a helluva' book! LOL! Treasure and cherish your real friends, they are sometimes more present and more influential in our lives that our actual families. I love that man! We are truly strangers that became brothers‼🤘
Bawled my eyes out hearing this song. Been my favorite band since I was 10 years old. I’m so grateful my brother introduced them to me 22 years ago. Named my son after 2/3 of the band. This album is so passionate and you can feel the love between them. Such an amazing song from an amazing band.

I still remember the first time my father put I miss you to play to my mom in the car while they were in the middle of the process of getting divorced. I've listened countless times, then, my cousin showed me Stay together for the kids, All the small things and First date, he told me that it was his favourite band, since then, all the significant momments of my life I relate to one Blink song... This band means so much to me and I cant praise enough for this song and this video clip... amazing!

It cracks me up when people think they're better than others. You can still say you're a hardcore fan since 2005. You can become a fan at anytime and go back and listen to their old stuff and learn about their history and such and be a "hardcore fan".

Definitely feel that I can relate to the song as I had a falling out with one of my best friends and we haven't talked for like two years.. until a mutual childhood friend of ours died from a work accident and that's what took for him to come talk to me and apologize for what he did wrong.

Neighborhoods has Tom it’s ok but the relationship wasn’t good they didn’t record or write it together…California is the first album with Matt from alkaline trio filling in and it is honestly great to the point I want Tom to cover it
Yeah at their recent concert, they sing some songs from “California” and Tom sounds so much better on those songs. “Bored to Death” is great with Tom’s voice.

Neighborhoods is my favorite album by them California was with a different singer, not Tom
California was a great blink-182 album, albeit Matt Skiba is singing on it, but the songs on it are fantastic. Neighborhoods was a pretty good album, but not on the same tier as their previous work.
