The fact that he is so nervous, shows such humbleness and humility....and just plain humanness (i know not a word) makes me love him more.
relax, dude puts a face on since he has no real hosting skills, couldn't conduct interviews and is definitely not funny. that's all people say about him, nice and humble. Its his way of gaining people's trust, he made millions every year doing it. Its on you if you're going to fall for it. His personality is as fake as his laughs.

Ratings can be worked around with and it doesnt say the whole story. Have you seen the latest and controversial nba dunk contest? A lot agreed that the runner up shouldve been the winner. Being no.1 especially when your basis is ratings doesnt mean anything, kardashian reality show have ratings too even tho its cancer.
@15 pound Peen entertaining people doesnt mean faking it, conan and craig fergusson etc. can make bits that make people laugh, Fallon fakes his whole personality for the show, theres a huge difference there. If you like fallon and fake people, then go love them, i wont stop you, i would still prefer sincere individuals. Btw, cool justification for fake individuals. Thats like seeing a murderer and saying, people murder people everytime, every state, hundreds of people gets murdered...

This is so sweet, I'm so happy to see how far he's come with confidence. He got far too much flack for taking this on, I think he's wonderful. A person who can't contain their laughter and genuinity is a perfect talk show host.
I like all the different talk show hosts for different reasons (Leno was my least fave tbh) but man, Jimmy is just so charming, I look forward to seeing him everynight.
@psy-kylo-gy I'm with you there, I'm a sucker for late night TV. Fallon is my favorite, though. He's just so multi talented ( my phone tried so hard to make me say multifaceted lol, to be fair a better word) and as you say, very charming.

People kept comparing Fallon to late night hosts like Letterman, Carson, Leno, Kimmel and Conan without even realizing that he's just starting out and those men that he's being compared to are already legends that have proven themselves in the field and that are on TV now for years or even decades. Fallon only has 6-7 years under his belt, and his ratings are impressive. I just can't fathom why some people kept on bitching about his hosting. Everyone has to start somewhere and with those ratings, I think he's starting to build his legacy in late night showmanship.

What a genuine guy, you can tell he's really grateful for the opportunity...and its amazing that when something is written in the stars for you, everything will align to make it happen..for gods sake the show was given to another guy and look what happened? All that happened so that Jimmy would eventually be the host ( unfortunate for Conan, but thats life), it was meant for him. It feels like a fresh new show with a younger vibe so Ill probably start watching now, I already like the format and he's different from the other hosts because he can do the sketches and the music parodies. Do you work for him because this guy is exactly opposite to anything that you describe. The guy is absolutely not funny, he can't deliver a monologue to save his life. He is opposite of humble since he always tries to upstage his supposed guests and has absolutely no respect for tonight show as it's supposed to be which is no surprise considering that he and his people stole the show.

I don't really think he's nervous, I think it's just a super sentimental moment for him. Fallon is a lot more personal than a lot of hosts, and I think he's just amazed at how quickly his career escalated.

Jimmy Fallon really is a modern internet-age star. He emotes more than any other host I have ever seen. He interacts on a very human level. Often when he invites guests on his show he is a fan and he has no problem with acting like one. He is visibly nervous in this clip, but who wouldn't be? I think on SNL his expressiveness was a detriment but on a talk show he is as genuine as they come. And in the age of the internet with stars communicating regularly with their fans, that is huge.

Make no mistake, history was made here. Here's to at least a 25 year run. Carson was great because you just loved being with him, but Jimmy has that charisma and as well he has real performing, acting, comedy, singing and voice talent. What happened to Conan was rotten, but the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon is nothing less than Fate waiting to be fulfilled.
