Architecture truly does not only mainly focus on beauty and aesthetics. For this project, I really appreciate how you put more importance on the context. It's a sad truth a reality that not all designers put attention to context, where you are not just looking at the design itself, but as well as its cultural, influences, and historical context that transformed that design. Everyone can learn Cad and 3d model skills but not everyone really looks at the context of what they are creating and the meaning of what they are designing. Much respect to you!
💯🙏🏼
the point you have mentioned is a gem.. everyone can learn cad and 3d and renders but only architects can render wonders. and when you reach such a client who appreciates and values the work of an architect. youre on top of the world.
@@ziasmailbox I also agree, I appreciate the depth of your comment. :) Appreciate all the Architects out there!
Say that to my clients, I’m half way though arch school and these people don’t care about concepts they just want their stuff done quick 😅😝. My struggles in school seem silly but oh well just getting enough for a passing grade. I need my clients to pay me.
Because not all architects are the same..some are lecorbusier, some are Oscar nieyemer, some are khan, and others are frank wright.
More architecture stuff please! love it!
Yes please!!
pls make more architectural related videos. im currently an architecture student in Canada and I love to learn how other students (or former students) create their work. such an inspiring video!

Agree, very inspiring and informative video!!!!
Your story telling skills were definitely 90% why u succeeded. ahahaha
Bro we were studying at Kingston at the same time 😂 Thats mad!
Kingston student here
@@jeffreych54 Oi oi another here
Got an unconditional offer but unsure, is it good how are you coping with the course etc. ?
I love the sophistication of you design thinking, but simple and clear explanation of such a complex project. Thanks for inspiring aspiring architects like myself!
It's so refreshing to find content like this! I recently graduated from architecture school but haven't focused on design in quite some time because of distractions & part time jobs, so this is exactly what I needed to get back to a creative mindset. Amazing work, thank you for making this!
This is a really interesting strategy. I love how you focused on context, history, usage etc. because that in context with design might be the most important thing about architecture
No longer an interior design-architecture student, but this has been very helpful in simplifying work processes, and presentation skills.
This is probably one of the many side benefits to being a minimalist.
Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for helping us deep dive in the thought process behind a simple design
Loved this! Architecture is design told through a story and this is no exception. Great project and hope to see more of your past projects (as well as future ones)
I love seeing other people talking about my country
Thank you for this, Daniel.
It's absolutely delightful and I love your style of representations very much.
Respect. There is much to see that is short and shallow online. I enjoyed a break watching this long term, in-depth project showcasing your talents.
Absolutely love this project! The design narrative framework of this project and the work you put in honor such a hiritage place is really awesome, great video!
This really shows how broad and deep architecture is. Really enjoyed the content.
as an undergraduate architecture student, I really enjoyed this type of content. Structuring a narrative in my design concept was something I've been looking to improve so it has been really useful to see it done right. Hope you upload more of this type of work!
Absolutely loved this video!! Such refreshing content! Very interested in seeing more videos like this :)
love these architecture videos please make more, there arn't many channels that give excellent examples of architecture projects for younger students and especially during the pandemic its really hard to grasp the work style. Keep it up :)
Been waiting for this!
and I really enjoyed the video more than I thought I would... great job man.. love and respect from an Architecture student from Syria
You have done a fabulous job. All the aspects were explained so precisely. Great work!!One of the best Architecture videos I have ever seen.💯🙏
2:42 well I did, I'm Portuguese and have friends there
I loved the dedication and work you put into this project and also this video, having someone talk about our history online feels amazing
Big hug from Portugal 🇵🇹
I'm a first year architecture student and this is so useful, such a good video
So educational and interesting. Thank you for making this video, Titch!
I loved this video! Happy to see you talk as an architect!
Incredible job! Absolutely love this video, can't wait for another video this!
This was such a great video!! I love your architecture content 👍👍
I'm Portuguese and I loved watching this video. Your project was very impressive, congratulations on your work. I hope one day they get to building it
Oh yes, more archi and design videos please!
I like your minimalist video but as a fellow architect I was thrilled to see this one. Keep up the architecture content!
Nicely presented Daniel!! Currently working on a rural third year project as well and this was really useful 🙏🏼
Love it! Many of my architecture professors talked about having a design narrative, but I’ve never heard it broken down so clearly. Nice 👍
I love the framework - really clarifies things and makes architectural design how it should be - simple
This is one of the very best best videos on this channel. Keep the architectural content coming. Would also be nice to see you talk about your presentation style.
I'm always amazed by the thinking process of architects! So good! 🇵🇹❤
Truly astonishing work!
Love seeing my country. Had no idea about this history 🇵🇹❤
Great storytelling, something often overlooked in design. Design should be communicative, great work.
Thanks a lot Daniel for this awesome video it is very inspiring to see you talk architecture i am in first year in studying architecture and i learned a lot from this keep it up ♡♡
Such an inspiring video, thank youu daniel!!!
Congratulations on that particular video. The structure of your presentation helped me a lot as a basis for my course formation project. Thank you very much!
Great great video! Just doing my second year BA, super interesting project.
Great video! Hoping for more architecture content!
Amazing work!! soo Inspirational!!!
Simply explained with the complex info into concise & informative narration.
Fantastic! Thank you for sharing your work :)
That was really interesting and gave great insights in your valuable way of thinking. Thank you. I would like to see more content like this.
As a Portuguese, I wish this would've been a "real" project, it's so well done and could really benefit Pico :)
LOVE THIS FRAMEWORK
Incredibly interesting and brilliant video!
Top video! I'm currently a Part 1 Architectural Assistant applying for a Masters in September and its great to see your approach to your design project
By far your best video, IMO
Please make more architecture related videos! I am planning to study architecture this autumn and would love to have more insight in what an architect does!
Hey great video! I must say, as a 3rd year architecture student in Paris, your project inspires me a lot for my future submissions! I hope that you’ll propose more of this kind of videos where you talk about your design and visual process, it’s helping a lot! maybe a portfolio video or a review of your first year projects might be good? Anyway keep up the good work!
This is an incredible study!😊🙌🏻
Outstanding explanation of how narrative can (and should) be applied in design. And although this project pertains to architecture, it's applicable to any design-related field. As a user experience designer, I can also attest that design proposals are much more convincing with proof of context and impact. Super, super interesting video. Thank you!!
Such a useful video for project workflow. Looking forward to your further architecture contents 👍👍
I really like you thought of how the city may change & considered your build for flats & shops! Good job, silver metal Earned! 🥈
Please more videos like that. I am not an architect, but this is so interesting. Keep up the amazing job
Big hug from a Portuguese ex architecture student 😂🇵🇹
🇵🇹❤
Just finished architecture school but so ready for all this architecture content!
Would like to see: Creative workflow (research> sketch> final project and sketch/2D line > render/final image); What I would tell my student self/ what would I change (ways of thinking, software choices, arch references....); Tips on how to deal with stress and burnout (in arch school and when working for yourself).
Much love from Portugal!
Greetings from the national and technical university of Athens! I Wish you a great career (and best holidays in Greece)
Sublime! Please, we need more of this content 🙏🏻
Thanks Jhonatan! 🙏🏼
For sure! We can see the love on architecture and the project through his eyes while he talks about.
Inspiring explanation of how to think and ship a project. I hope to integrate it more in my work
Portugal!! ehehe
Great presentation and beautiful drawings. Nice and clean! Greetings... from Portugal!
this is helpful and informative! wanting for more
YESSS to the Chicago shoutout in the intro pictures!! 😊😊
Very cool. Thanks for sharing.
man you are're really good at presentation
Nice project, well done!
So glad I came across your channel, should have found you sooner but I'm still glad. It'd be great if you taught architectural design processes on skillshare as well. Would be interested to learn from you. Good luck and thank you for your channel :)
The upload time fits to an architect
I accidentally scheduled it for 2am instead of 2pm! But you're right completely right... This is fitting 😭
loved it so much
while the project is impressive in and of itself, i also think the way that you communicated your architectural design and process in such an accessible and engaging way is to be applauded; this was such a cool video!!
Really great video! Super informative ( :
thanks.. you really inspire me
Well that was a fantastic video. Pease do more of these old project revisit. Excellent.
This inspired me alot!!
Architecture is so similar to Industrial Design, we have the same way to make and sell projects
Don't know anything about architecture. I just saw this in recommended and gave a like for that smile.
LOVE LOVE LOVE
Great video man
Would love to learn more about the techniques you used to present your project (form photoshop to the book binding!)
Brilliant! Thank you.
Very helpful :) thanks!
Beautiful!
The site analysis animations are very well drawn! Well done.
Thanks dude! 🙌🏼
The video really shows how much of story telling architecture can be.
Fascinating
It's great to see such a clear process explained, although I don't know how sustainable this project could claim to be if its made entirely out of reinforced concrete.
This video was extremely helpfull, thank you
Awesome!
Hi, I really enjoy this video, primarily because I’m about to start a small/cheap house design but I want to give it some “sense” -if that makes any sense- and this video has given me a very good idea on how to start. Thanks. I have one question though, how did you decide not using the basalt rocks in your project? Did you have this question asked while presenting your project? Cheers
awesome video
yeeess history ❤
Would be great to know how you created those renders! Love the style & feeling
Super interesting proposal idea! Love how it functions as such a strong contribution to the island. Though I was wondering how funding for this project would be made possible for this sort of meager location?
a mini Geography lesson included! wow!
grass-root level execution _ yet sounded visionary.
