Yes is really is Ami and Twizzy central (and a few Aixam’s!)
8:25 (in general) don't charge from extension cable drum without pulling the cable all way out.
They might overheat and melt the cable, then it might short and worst case catch fire.
The same applies for vacuum cleaners and other devices with a built-in cable drum, always pull out the cable.
It’s such a pain to get back in though and you’ve no way of securing the extension if you don’t put it inside
@@MeandMonAmi the reel is usually rated arround a maximum of 1000 W, with cable on.
When you charge the Ami you pull about 1800 W.
If you just charge you phone, of use other low power devices within the rating, your OK.
Please don't charge through cable reel with cable on, just because it's more convenient.

@@MeandMonAmi I think it's more pain to pull out after the thermo fuse fails, and you end up with a disfigured reel, with melted cable, or worse if it catch fire.

I was going to say the same thing, it's one thing if you're plugging something in with low watts for a short time period.... But totally another charging a car for hours...
I've seen one burn out when someone forgot to unwind one fully when welding...

Late on Friday I receive the AMI. What an amazing car!!! I have already done over 100 kilometers. Now all orders of Citroen AMI in Greece (include me) received or receive since two weeks ago.

Here's a tip folks. If you're going to use an extension reel unroll it fully or the coiled cable can generate a lot of heat and wreck the cable or worse.

Awe, poor Mr. Boo, what is his real name btw? Get well soon! I had it a month ago and still don’t feel quite right but you are much younger and look quite healthy as well. Liz had a great bubbly personality which was quite enjoyable and adorable to boot. That was soo cool seeing so many Ami’s all together at the same place, now you know that Liz wasn’t kidding you at all. LOL, THEY WERE BREEDING DURING COVID! That was hilarious 😂 I absolutely loved this episode, awesome! She’s a teacher, no wonder that she has great communication skills. ❤️ Those we’re great interviews with the College kids, loved it. So sorry to hear Mr Boo is down with Covid. When I take ill I find bowls of Kellogg's Fruit and Fibre and a Glass of Drambuie every now and then makes me better quicker. It's worth a try. It was great to see another Fan/Friend joining you. Normally we are lucky if we see one more Ami. I couldn't believe how many Ami's were in that Town. Another Very Good and Entertaining Episode.

Brilliant as usual Tim! The best entertainment I've enjoyed in several moons. I've shared it with many friends and several loved the episode as well. The "relentless smut" was some fun, vintage comic relief.
Also, sorry to getting late to the episode but I'm not getting alerts for your channel (the only one as far as I know), and I hope Mr. Boo and you are doing well. If you have a moment to drop a an update it we'd like to hear how you are doing. There are some treatments and protocols that are helpful to reduce inflammation and combat the virus.
I also have a doctor friend and covid researcher at Harvard who I would consider very one of the most informed on treatment I can connect you with for suggestions, as it appears that the better sooner and better the infection can be treated, the less chance for long term issues.

Tim, I had to watch this a second time before turning in for the night, and I have to say that Liz was a smashing delight, and it occurred to ask if you and Mr. Boo have ever considered doing more guest and viewer spots with Liz and others, possibly where you and Mr. Boo took turns being the host? Perhaps viewer and guests dying to be a Me an Mon Ami celebrity could express their preference to spend a day with you or Mr. Boo? That might add a bit of variety and interaction.
Personally, I love to locals with something to share be co-pilot on adventures, and it would be fun to see an episode with Mr. Boo and a local guest done mostly in French.

Another fun & fascinating vlog, which brought back memories of my school years in a small Lancashire town. In 1962 I was at grammar school and had a Fiat 500 that caused much retribution. I had it because after a month in hospital with a spinal issue I faced going to school for at least 3 months in a full torso plaster cast. So the car was essential to avoid walking and 2 different buses to get to school daily. The jealousy was from teachers not fellow pupils! But in those days cars were much less the norm. I hope Mr Boo is soon back to full fitness without any signs of long Covid. Liz was great fun but you can't beat the subtle racial expressions of Mr Boo!

All that coiled up wire will raise the resistance higher and the lead may well consume more electricity heating up the wire, when using an extension lead it is always best to uncoil all of the wire.

how 'bout the english and talk-with-adults skills of those youngsters - that's the big change in Europe the past decade or so, also had an insight talking with a number of older people there, some of the reluctance to speak it is the pronunciation; their not wanting to sound - and they think they sound - like Inspector Clueseau when they try...but yakking with the locals is really part of the pleasure of being there, 'dans le Sud...' let's see your Valbonne pal again, what a hoot.

Hello Tim, I´m new to your channel... like the AMI vids and the nice places you visit. If you are adventureous enough, you should visit Barcelona and further south 30kms to Sitges. It´s a nice small town on the seaside and there are free charging stations for electric cars in the center... there are gay beaches and nudist beaches and lots of bars ...
Its quite a long journey from the French Riviera, still worth coming... Hugs, Viktor

Just to warn you, but you should always completely unroll/extend a coiled extention cable when a current is running through it, that could have been a horrendous fire risk!
I’m sure you are right but the actual cable in the car is not always fully uncoiled in its slot when charging either…
