Thanks Jeremy and Erica for an amazing day and fabulous time cooking with you and your family. Regardless of cooking styles, spreading BBQ love and kindness to be inclusive and not exclusive is something we all strive for in our pursuit of BBQ excellence!
I just subscribed to you’re channel 👍🏽
Loved this! You guys did a great Job. More collaborations please
Harry, are your rubs available for purchase in australia or could be shipped here? 🇦🇺
Love the video 🙏🏼
Harry you are the king briskets
Harry,
So much fun watching you and Jeremy cook together.
I need another one of those burnt ends.
You can hear Jeremy's heart breaking as he trims this thing 😂😂
😂😂😂 very true 😂
Harry's happiness and energy is about contagious as it gets.
Must be due to the MSG. As Uncle Roger would say it "FuiYoh!"
He know his comp stuff that's for sure.
@@harsoo haiyaa!
Soo is my Hero! Grew up on Weber's. Love The SMS so I was happy to see him in this video.
I love how honest Harry is about competition vs backyard cooking.
Yep. He was brutally honest.
Timestamp anyone?
@@americanpatriot6938 the whole video
Wearing each other's aprons, very adorable. The BBQ Bro-ship is real. Now we just need Chud's BBQ there.
Like Rocky and Apollo jumping and hugging each other in the surf
@@kevinbongard6772 hahahaha!! Comment winner.
@@kevinbongard6772awh man. Watching this today. RIP Carl Weathers, AKA Apollo
Come on Jeremy, you have appreciate Harry’s humor. So serious.
Yeah my guy was all work no smiles this time. You can tell he was all business soaking up all that Harry Soo knowledge not messing around
Jeremy, my respect for you continues to increase. Your humility and openness to the expertise of others speaks volumes! salute bro!
These tips make a lot of sense. I wouldn't want to drive a racecar as a daily, but that's how you win races.
Harry says his food is optimized to win. I think 'racecar' is a pretty good analogy for that style of cooking.
I can hear the resentment when Jeremy is making those cuts.
Freakin love this! Spent the last 3 years watching Jeremy's videos on bbq for my own bbq journey and seeing him working with Harry's methods is crazy interesting. Thanks so much for creating this content Harry and Jeremy!
Super fun day hanging with Jeremy and his family. Hope to be back or have Jeremy cook at my place
I’ve cooked both your brisket styles and I love both. But yo, you got Harry Soo to personally give you a hands on cook off! I got more black belt tips from this one video than I’ve gotten watching Slap Yo Daddy by Harry Soo for the last 5 years!
Brian here from Spokane Washington. I know a lot of us have watched hundreds or thousands of hours of barbecue on CZcams. Harry. Jeremy....etc. I have to say this is absolutely the best comprehensive video I've ever seen on CZcams. I'm not a professional. I'm just a little bit above amateur. When it comes to barbecue. I learned more watching this video. Some of the interesting little details. Thank you both for collaborating! I know this video took a lot of hours. Absolutely a lot of money. A lot of planning. And what a cool friendship you both have now! Definitely saving this video and sharing it with everyone.
Jeremy you killed it on that brisket trim and that was about as complicated of a trim job as I have ever seen.
Love me some Harry Soo! The guy is just the best!
You guys make great co-hosts, and Harry’s work ethic is always so inspiring to me.
I love this collaboration!!! I never thought I’d see this. I literally use both of your recipes. I learned from you to use salt and pepper and I learned form harsoo to use celery seed and Worcestershire sauce. Everyone loves my brisket and pulled pork.
I’m smoking a Brisket this weekend!
Nice!! Check out my how to smoke a brisket video if it’s for eating instead of competing!
@@MadScientistBBQ oh don’t worry, using one of your other vids for that one. Appreciate all you do ✌️
Already anabolic!
Left boob vs right boob… the debate continues
Dude RJ on a bbq video! My hobbies are all aligning and I love it 😂
Hey Jeremy! I just wanted to say that I love your videos you are the best Pitmaster on CZcams. The quality of your videos has gone up so much I love watching them thank you, keep it up!
Sensai Harry.I took your class in Sydney Australia. I call you the encyclopedia of bbq .I try and use everything you taught us each time I fire up the smoker with my guests calling me the champion of bbq :D all thanks to what I learnt from you. Love your passion for BBQ :)
Cheers Peter
Harry is impressive his knowledge and techniques. Quick witted. Very nice guy. Great video!
There are no words to express the joy you guys spread to the cooking world! Thanks to the both of you!
the BBQ Love is strong with these two. really enjoyed this video.
Congrats on the baby. Blessings to you and your family!
OMG Jeremy, this was an awesome video!! I love watching both of you guy's, & to combine both your knowledge was fun & ultra learning! Thanks guys for this video. You are both so awesome!!
Fantastic video. Really fun seeing you guys work together. It was really fascinating seeing the complex differences between brisket for serving versus competition. Thanks guys.
I’ve been cobbling together advice from you and Harry for the last few months. My brisket game has advanced about four steps. Still have so much to perfect, but it’s been so helpful the way you both break things down. And to have both in one video!!!!
Happy to hear!
I'm astounded at WHY anyone would want or need to cook a "competition" brisket? First of all its very expensive to but the ultra prime grade necessary and it;s not like you are "creating" anything new because you are COPYING verbatim from every pitmaster that cooks great briskets for a TROPHY and PLAQUE? What's the point?
Amazing , thank you so much for sharing your tips and secrets to this cooking of brisket , Jeremy and Harry thank you again.
one of my favorite videos you’ve done so far. this was excellent!
A really fun time watching two of my favorite U-Tube guys together. Cheers.
Awesome content. Harry doesn’t sugar coat anything. Great insight. One of the colabs I’ve seen Harry do. I appreciate your detailed walk throughs and this was very insightful and easy to follow.
I had very high expectations when I saw the teaser video and I have to say y'all did not disappoint! I enjoyed watching the two of you cook and it looks like you two had a great time!
You and Harry Soo make an awesome combo! Learned so much from both of you over the years
This video made my week, I cannot believe how much I learned, and how Harry holds nothing back.
Learned a ton on this video. The trimming tips were fantastic!
That was a real eye opener and a great peek into what competition cooking is all about. Thanks for the education in BBQ cooking and what it really take to win. Both did an excellent job in presentation, and I can't wait to try out some of what you shared!!
Great videos with Harry. Hoping you both do more! even just outtakes while you guys cook would be hugely insightful!
Fantastic collaboration!! I loved every second of it. I will be preparing two briskets in a week, and this gave me some good ideas.
I love this content. Seeing two BBQ masters work together on Brisket is awesome.
My 2 fav YoutTube BBQers together! Loved to see it! The knowledge and mixed presentation, best Collab ever.
That's awesome watching you both together and both doing the different methods. Look forward to more collaborations in the future.
Still trying to absorb so much experience and the care. I believe I understand now the difference between competition and family preparation. You Mister Yoder have said teach me on competition. Well done. You Mr. Soo are what legends are made of.
I have to be honest… it was painful 😱watching the brisket being cut up that way… but hey, it’s all in the name of Competition!👍 Thanks for the video guys!! Legends in the making!!
Yes, one is for eating and enjoying with family. The other is to please 24 strangers and deposit $10,000 in the bank!
Wow! My two favorite guys trying each other's techniques!
Outstanding!
Yes!! My 2 favorites!!
I love these cross-overs. Dude, I'm so happy for you and your success in BBQ and with your channel!
Great video once more Jeremy! Great to see you working with Harry! Keep up the good work. You were one of my inspirations to start my BBQ channel. Cheers from Finland 🍻
Follow both of you, learned more about you in Harry’s interview than I’ve picked up over the years and it only made me more of a fan. much respect for your journey my brother. I wish you nothing but continued success moving forward. hang in there and keep smoking.
Absolutely a great video. My two favorite BBQ CZcamsrs!!! Thanks for sharing your wealth of knowledge. That competition brisket looked so good... Would love to have a taste of those burnt ends.
What a great video! Harry is just a wealth of knowledge. I thought about competing, but no way. I'm not that dedicated. I love catering but this is like art. Jeremy was so lucky to have him there , in person, showing him how awesome he is.
Yeah this is a gem, two totally different styles. Theses guys are proficient in the smoke world. Could there be a hybrid competition/home brisket? The best of both worlds? Could you imagine they actually let those bad boys rest like home style cooking?? 🤔 thanks for the vid.
Just nailed the perfect brisket this past weekend thanks to you! On the brazos
Awesome! As was said “Master Class” thank you both for the video and tips!
I've been a long time fan of Harry and Jeremy, when I found your channel, I thought, wow, it would be an amazing video collaboration and you guys didn't disappoint. You both have the mind of wanting to constantly experiment and learn, to improve. You both have the solid background in the simplicity of great BBQ, season it well, cook it carefully and respect the process. I felt you were both of a like mind, but Harry's additional experience and exposure to competition brings a completely other tool set you just haven't experienced yet. I remember the first competition video I watched of Harry's, and though, wow, this is so over the top. Then I started applying a lazy man's version of what I learned and it's been great, it really changed my mind and opened it up to unlimited possibilities. Although, I came to the same conclusion, that the full competition recipe isn't perfect for family meals and found a balance with a partial version I'm happy with. I was really happy to hear that same statement today. I wonder if this experience has lit a competitive spark in Jeremy. I guess time will tell, chances are we will see some influence to some degree.
Seeing these collabs has been good for my soul. And bbq.
This is fascinating!! Thanks to both you and Harry Soo for this very informative video. I feel like I just attended a master class on brisket competition.
Thanks man! This has gotta the most in depth brisket recipe out there!
Love this collaboration, y’all are 2 of my favorites!
Great episode(s). It was awesome to watch them both and see the differences. Been a sub to both ever since I started doing BBQ about a year ago.
Competition brisket is all I make when I need to get a 4-6 hour brisket out the door minus all of the damn salt. Myron Dixon is the man. EDIT: This is the best competition brisket how-to video that I have ever seen. Amazing!!! Time to find Harry Soo on the CZcamss.
Myron cooks his briskets way too hot and way too fast. That on top of the foil and beef broth he uses, Id call it more of a pot roast than a real brisket. 🤢🤢
WORTH A WATCH
Myron Mixon knows NOTHING about cooking great tasting brisket. He knows what a bunch of ignorant so-called "judges" like (injected, fat cap down, and bad sauce) and that's all that matters. Aaron Franklin told me once years ago (after a few beers) that when he was on BBQ Pitmasters with Mixon and heard all his "tips" and techniques and even ate some of his brisket that if Mixon tried to sell that "crap" in a Texas BBQ joint it wouldn't last 12 months if his name was on it and less than 6 months if it wasn't. He said Mixon was the king of cooking whole hogs and the court jester of cooking brisket. Then we all laughed and grabbed another beer.
@@jaysantos536 BIG FACTS!!!! Myron is incredibly overrated and the last person I would take advice on to cook a good brisket. There are sooooo many people doing it better, Franklin included of course. Fuck Myron and all those comp. judges and their shitty taste. I don't even drink beer but I deeply envy you being able to shoot the shit over a couple beers with Aaron.
This is amazing. Love seeing you together in a video. So much knowledge and you guys gel so well, oozing passion for BBQ.
Been subbed to both of you for a long time now and this is just awesome to watch.
Awesome! Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video both. Enjoyed watching it. Im all fired up to cook a competition brisket now😄
Great series of videos folks! Learned some new things. Thanks for sharing!!
2 of my favourite bbq channels doing a collab is epic. learnt so much from both of you. FYI
I always always expose the point on both sides even for home. No substitution for bark
Absolutely Amazing. It’s Insane !! 😀 Thank You So Much Harry & Jeramy. Just Fantastic Lesson. BBQ Masters 😎❤️
I just started to learn how to smoke. Because of Jeremy's videos I was able to understand Harry's methods. Thank you for doing this collab!
Gotta love Harry’s energy Always a joy to watch
Of course Harry Soo comes to town and the neighbor decides it’s time to chop down trees. Love it this is the reality of being on CZcams! Way to roll with it!
Great Video guys. One for the books. Thank you so much!!
Watching your videos gave me the kick in the butt to smoke my first brisket. Turned out good and plan on doing more
that was the best brisket video I've watched so far. You guys are awesome. Thank you
I enjoyed this video very much , lots of information, great service
Thank you both for doing this. As someone who follows both n just getting into bbq this was very helpful to see different techniques n to know you can always keep learning.
Yeah the competition and backyard styles are pretty different
This is the video we've all been waiting for. Well done, gents!
Great fun to watch! I don't want to make a competition brisket but I had a ton of fun watch Harry Soo teach you how to do it.
Love that point trimming! I may need to try that for more tasty burnt ends!
Thankyou so much for the tips on Competition barbecuing Harry Sue and Erric
That's the most in depth I've ever seen on a competition brisket and no wonder Harry Soo has so many victories. This video is a Master Class on brisket. Brisket is on my menu soon. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching Robert. You can scale down my method to make it easier for home cooks.
Two of my favorite pitmasters! Great video!
Wow, what a great video! Thanks for being great pitmasters and even better men!!
I really enjoy your videos. I'm just now coming back to the off-set way of BBQ. I've been a drum smoker on the BBQ circuit for years. (started with an off-set back in the 90's)
No better flavor than cooking with wood on an off-set pit.
Loved this video, Learned so much!
I love Harry Soo lol. The more I watch him the more entertaining he becomes.
What an amazing collaboration of #bbqlove. Lots to learn, but also some helpful tips to glean if you do have a less than adequate brisket. Lots of appreciation coming from Northwest ONTARIO!
I love Harry Soo, awesome guy I’ve been watching for years
I trim in between the flat and point on my home cooks as well
The collab I've been waiting for!
Jeremy just modeled how he became such a fantastic teacher. He’s a great STUDENT.
Thanks for this video. It's really inspiring 👍
I don't know how I started watching this but this is the most technical cooking show ever!!!! A lot of steps before you even start to cook?! 🤔
This is absolutely the best vid I’ve seen in a long time on bbq , I follow all the mayor names in the matter but seen a collaboration and also how different competition bbq is was absolutely amazing…thank you both for this !!! Harry is a true master
That’s awesome man. Glad you liked it
Thanks guys , great video. Always learning in this game .
I love how Harry knows everyone on CZcams. Such a great guy.
Uncle Roger!
I GUARANTEE Jeremy has a killer Harry Soo impression.
Celery seed is a great tip. I have incorporated this in my brisket rub.
Two of my favorite BBQ channels!
Awesome to see the difference between what you do for contest versus what you serve for a meal. I love Harry's jokes too. He's a great channel guest. I'm smoking 15# prime tomorrow night. Got my paper and tallow ready.
Thank you so much for sharing this video. I like your collaboration and hope for more videos.
Man ya for real the real deal..Harry soo made me fall in love with bbq!
Great video, love all the grate tips, thanks!
This was an awesome collaboration with Harry Soo! Harry has so much knowledge, he's like a BBQ encyclopedia!
Happy to spread some BBQ love in this world!
