The show is fantastic, and a way higher ratio of good sketches to bad than Monty Python or SNL, if we're being honest. I would say the American answer to KitH would be The State, which is oft forgotten now, but it's the troupe that gave us Reno 911, with Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant as the main creatives on both. The first season of The State used to be in the internet archive, it might still be up. There was one other 90s sketch show that's completely forgotten now called The Edge, and it mixed in special effects like radical blood fountains and guys getting arms ripped off, that's my only clear memory and it had Wayne Knight from Jurassic Park as one of the stars.

The State and KITH were basically competitors. I was a State Head but KITH has aged much better, and I still don't like it that much. (Brain Candy aside)

@@danwroy If so, it was a friendly competition. There's a lot of mutual admiration among sketch comedy groups. i recall the WKUK guys were talking about when they met one of the Monty Python guys, and whoever introduced them said "These guys are like you were" and they instantly smiled and said "No, we're not."
