Eminem is one of the most skillful emcees of all time. That being said, Eminem doesn't try to rap in time with the beat. Rap is rhythm and poetry. Eminem tries to scream over the beat. He overpowers the beat. He tries to fit a million words into the song and rap as fast as possible. Hip hop is a mesh between the voice and the instrumental. Eminem had such a smooth flow when he first cam out. It doesn't make for great songs but his skills shine in freestyles. I feel Mike. I'll be real, I was an Em fan boy but as I've gotten older, the content lost appeal to me as well.
Em music isn't stellar. ..his early music between 99 thru 02 was much more betta ...the songwriter was during that time..I still had not thought he had classic cds...but when the drugs stopped ..dis fast rapping style existed. ..speaking in nothing started...his beats were neva impressive but his early music content was wrth.
