    5:27 "There's rust everywhere!" You should see my Fiero right now with the trunk carpet pulled back. I also need to put in e-brake cables as they are missing and it scares me. As for brake lines, I used Nickel-Copper lines. Easy to work with and better corrosion resistance.

    Question so I did the rear disc swap on my 97 ek coupe but they came with eg e brake cables and those are too short. What e brake cables do I have to get so they can fit? I heard people say the integra rear disc e brake cables fit but I’m lost

    • @kraftingkars
      @kraftingkars  Před 21 dnem

      You need cables from the 99-00 civic si. That car came factory with rear disks so they are the right length!

    I'm doing this swap currently. are both E brake cables the same length?
    47510-s04-932 , Left 47560-s04-932
    I've seen some places say 1 is 1670mm and other side is around 1600mm, but then I've been told there both meant to be the same length? are you able to confirm.
    look forward to you answering if possible :)

    • @kraftingkars
      @kraftingkars  Před rokem +1

      I believe they are slightly different lengths, the two different sides have different mounting brackets that come with the cables as well

    • @SeductiveVenom

      @@kraftingkars Appriecated your response, i was expecting the Right side 47510-s04-932 to be shorter, according to Rockauto, but it looks like they may have changed to matching lengths

    9:23 Bracket you said you would have to order...what did you find? I am doing basically the same conversion, (94-01 GSR rear calipers, 99-00 SI parking brake cables). The bracket for the cable that came with the Powerstop GSR calipers won't work because of the EX trailing arms. I was just about to fab a set of them up but I'd still like to know what you used.

      So you do have to change the brake lines when doing this switch ?

  • @xToxicfir3x
    @xToxicfir3x Před 2 lety +2

    Alright SO the ebrake cables
    are there a difference between them besides the mounting clips?
    there's ebay postings for these says left AND right si/tegra cables

    • @kraftingkars
      @kraftingkars  Před 2 lety

      Yeah, the drum brake cables and disk brake cables connect differently to your brakes. And integra cables are too short to use in a 96-00 civic chassis and require modification to make them work

    • @xToxicfir3x
      @xToxicfir3x Před 2 lety

      L and R sorry

    • @kraftingkars
      @kraftingkars  Před 2 lety

      @@xToxicfir3x So yeah besides the different clips, they have to be pretty darn close in length if not equal, I would recommend getting the specific L and R cables though

    • @kraftingkars
      @kraftingkars  Před rokem +1

      Yep everything should be exactly the same! The scarebird bracket comes in two different styles, HON and CIV, HON is for flat faced spindles, and CIV is for spindles that have the indents. My 97 Civic uses the HON spindles and adapter plate found here scarebird.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=67&product_id=116 Hope this helps!
