I spent six months learning Revit about five years ago and haven't used it since, so your tutorials have been a great help in getting back into it.
I have the solution to the room schedule problem and I'm using Revit 2008, so it's nothing to do with your version or your model.
On 01 Lower Level, each room's properties must have the Upper Limit set to the level above (ie 02 Entry Level). This restricts the height of those rooms and stops them overlapping with the rooms above.

Thanks for the informative video. I believe that the color over lap is due to the underlay which set to L01 floor plan. Change undelay to none.

You just need to change the View range to just the second floor (in order to see colors right)

Thanks for sharing quite create video. I think the problem is you overlapped the Rooms in the (01 Lower Level) into the (02 Entry Level) because it did work with me. Just delete the extra rooms in the 02 Entry Level and will work well.
    Best of luck

Thanks for the video Mick. I have an odd problem in this tutorial; the color of the squares in the legend don't match with the color that filled the floors! for example legend color code for bedroom is gray (the square in the legend list is gray) but the actual bedroom is filled with orange color! have you or anybody else heard about this problem?

I believe by changing the view range it will fix the problem. (extra coloring problem)
    Good luck

    hi!
I had the sam problem while doing this lesson.
Try to change the view range.
    02 Enty level:
    top - associaate level 02entry - 3000
    Cut plane - the same - 3000
    Bottom - the same - 0
    level - the same - 0
    After that everything went fine..

    Hello,
compliments for this tutorial. It is helping a lot. I had a four day course and it didn't had so much effect as going trough your video's. I have a solution for your problem. The problem that the walls from the 01 level are not attached to the floor above. When you show your 02 level, you still the walls coming trough the floor. When you attach them to the floor , then they are not vissible and you don't have this problem anymore.

To fix the room legends, turn your underlay base to none on all floor .

i think your problem is caused due to your lower level walls extending through the floor and finishing at the top face rather than the ceiling

  • @DMDrafttech

i think if you turn off the underlay you shouldnt have that problem.
