When I was working and traveling in Germany in 1973 when I was 18 and 19, I had a few experiences with the police. Once, when I lived and worked briefly in a small town in northern Germany, I got picked up by the police when I was hitchhiking. They took me to the station and interrogated me. My German was real basic at the time, so I just played dumb, and acted a bit stupid. They thought it was funny and thought I was acting arrogant (probably because I put my feet up on their desk). After a couple hours, they just told me to go. I asked them to drive me back to where they picked me up, but they declined!!! Another time, I was in Berlin and walked on a red light in the crosswalk and got stopped by a police officer. He asked me if there were crosswalks with lights in New York! I told him I was from a little town (which I was) without stoplights and crosswalks. I pled dumb, which he didn't buy. Fortunately he didn't give me a ticket. I promised not to do it again.

They are well trained.they don't feel too big to pay attention to you.The can never beat you or dehumanised you..I so much respect them. They are one of the highly respected Police in the world.

hahahahha all chapters represent the life in Germanyyy.Luckily never had any issue with police and bikes. But one night we were walking drunck just beside a street where many cars were coming and the police stopped us. The issue in that are is that there was no walkind side, only car could pass by. Then I lernt that in taht cases Uber or taexis are needed.

Das kommt ganz auf die Stadt an, und darauf, wie der Verkehr geregelt ist. Aber oft schon.
Ein Punkt in Flensburg wenn man Fahrrad fährt? Ist das möglich?
Ja. Sobald ein Vergehen im Straßenverkehr stattfindet, kann dies mit einem Punkt im Fahreignungsregister geahndet werden. Selbiges gilt übrigens nicht nur, wenn man mit dem Fahrrad unterwegs ist, sondern auch, wenn man anderweitig (zu Fuß, mit dem E-Scooter, etc.) am Straßenverkehr teilnimmt.
