Hey Mr. Perry, My husband and I just love you! We are white. Just sayin. Lol. In 2001, we lost our 17 year old son to gun violence in Los Angeles. My husband did much better than I did. He immersed himself in work and I wanted to be dust and blow away. But we had a 12 year old son that needed his mom. It’s been 22 years, and I have had a struggle all the way. But the times that helped us lighten our hearts most was to watch you Madea movies. My husband, son and I would all hug up on the couch and watch you be Madea and laugh and laugh sometimes until our stomachs hurt. Madea helped us all so much to get through the worst lose of our life. When I see your name, I know I have to see it, listen to it and now read it. Thank you Mr. Perry for all you, and Madea gave us. God Bless You and Yours

I did not know Crystal had a podcast. I went on CZcams to listen to my gospel playlist as i do every day, and this popped up. Something inside of me said, "Watch it." Usually, when this happens, it's a message for me. And here I am receiving the confirmation I needed. This has me literally in tears (good tears, inspirational tears). This is my church service for me today...especially the part about family and when you start to rise..as much as you want to take them with you...often you can't. I love this segment! Being a young grandmother raising 7 grandchildren, Tyler has gotten me through many nights!!! The messages he has passed on in his plays, movies and speaking really helps me get through the tough times!!!

Being in your presence at all your plays at the Fox theater, your messages are real, and know they’re heartfelt for the ones that walk in FAITH! When I see the goodness in you I can’t help but to press on. Someone once asked me, how do you do it raising 7 grandchildren and you’re not even 60? I always say God and long nights watching Tyler Perry! Your messages always resonate strength, forgiveness, and doing what needs to be done! I laugh, cry and then pray! You truly don’t know what you have meant , receiving calls my daughter just had another child and the child would be in foster care unless I came down to get custody! I would think about this play you did where you talk about people getting children just for their checks, and not doing the right thing. I pray, I cry and then put my big girl pants on, get my babies and we make it happen. If this is Tyler keep doing what you do! A songwriter once wrote if I can help somebody as I pass along, then my living would not have been in vain. Tyler, your living has not been vain! I love you!
@TylerEPerryJr Lol, since your 1st play. I even had a ticket at a play they canceled when you 1st started, I think it was called I know I’ve been changed, can’t remember but it was the early 90’s. I think it was at the Tabernacle or playhouse can’t remember! But really became a true fan after Madea’s Family reunion and never missed another play, my family and I were always present. Always attended Sundays after church heading to see you! Now you have a sermon in this podcast when you said, look back over your life and tell me how many times GOD has let you down! Man!!!! I ran around the house! And then posted it on Facebook! Not to give a sad story but I’ve faced foreclosure lost cars and struggles raising my babies! And the same people that asks how do you do it, never offer assistance! But GOD!!! He has never failed me! We have NEVER gone a night without food or shelter. They have not missed a beat I often tell them you may not have what others have but be grateful for what you have! You truly have an Old soul, as the Elders often say! Just know my wish is God continue to elevate you more and more! Because as he elevates you your messages are stronger than EVER! Just as it is written in Gods word continue to read it, you’ll always get a different message, and that’s how it is with you!!

You are both blessing me, I quadrupled my income in the last two years, and I have been in fear of buying a place, in case my financial situation changes. I don't know anyone (in my life), who has come from homelessness, struggling to pay the bills and going hungry to having abundance. I can't listen to folks about a scarcity mindset who don't know what it's like to go hungry especially when they have a different racial reality. This is so important and sowing seeds for many of us. I totally lived what Mr. Perry is talking about regarding meeting you at your worth. I was making more money than my husband when we met. We've been happily married for almost 21 years and together for 23. He has always had a providers mentality, but needed support and that extra push to help him get where he needed to be. A couple of years into the relationship, things changed drastically for his better because he stayed on his grind.
Now he makes 6 figures and I only work because I want to follow my dream, not cause I have to. I met him where he was back then and he didn't settle for mediocrity. And now we are growing our business together. Thank you Crystal for providing us with personal, inspiring and POSITIVE content. You ROCK!!!💜

I came to watch the interview because social media is playing a snippet of Tyler's words about relationship dynamics, and I wanted to see exactly how the conversation went. I guess it was meant for me to watch because every part of this interview hit my soul. When the letter was read at the end, it felt as if my thoughts had been exposed, and I started BALLING. You have gained a new subscriber and viewer.

Mr. Perry reminded me of a saying of mine when you all were talking about family. I say, "You can't choose your relatives, but you can choose your family."
i remember my mom took me to one of tyler perry’s plays in atlanta. i was 6 years old. and i think it was called i know i’ve been changed. it was in a small theater resembling a basement. edit: the tabernacle (my mom just told me 😂) i’m 32 years old now and it’s amazing to see how far he has come ❤
This was a great therapy session for me. A spiritual awakening It’s never about the money. Mr. Perry’s experiences has grown him into being an awesome therapist or life coach

i have written several academic essays about this man! his story is so fascinating and inspiring. i’ve always had a dream of making a documentary about him, there’s one already but it does not do his story and creations justice! God bless that man for the hearts he touched, lives he’s changed, including mine. i haven’t even watched the episode yet, and i’m just SO excited!!!😩

@@samsungbackup3619 I haven’t published anything, i’ve only written about him when given prompts about individuals that inspire me… he’s ALWAYS the first that comes to mind… just how bold he is in his faith and how he never gave up on what God let him picture! he’s just my personal fav example of being a believer. believer of God and dreams given by God. i never saw that type of representation growing up UNLESS i was watching his plays when he shares his testimony at the end! i really believe i can do anything, because i see what God did for him… i know he’ll do it for me, if i help him help me!!
