  • How to save dehydrated, dying orchid, without a fresh living moss. I have similar questions in the comment section of my orchids video almost every week. So I need to try another method. Of course, no wonder, that many people do not have access to fresh, living moss. Some people live in the big cities or in the climate zones, we’re to find living moss could be a big challenge. I started to think, what I would do or try, if I was in similar situation. #orchidsforbeginners #orchidrepotting #orchidscare #orchidsneverdie #phalaenopsis #phalaenopsisorchids

Orchids seem to be much stronger plants than some of the other plants we keep in the home. So it seems humidity and warmth is what they are craving for survival here. Great video, as usual! I'll look forward to your updates on how these 2 are doing.

Thank you for this! I only had dry moss, and it became moldy within days. I've cleaned away the moss , and Neem oiled the entire plant, including its roots. Now I'm in need of a backup ICU option.
Thank you for the thorough explanations of each step. You answered a bunch of my questions. I'm very grateful!!

Hello, thanks you for making the video! my rootless phals are in “ICU” with moisted sphagnan moss covered with perforated saran wrap and are kept at 25C. Now I am seeing white fuzzy mold covering the root. Can I use potassium permanganate or physan 20? Are the bad for newly emerge root tips? I know it's best using live moss which I don't have. What can I do? Thanks for your advice!

Can I put aquarium gravel underneath the moss on a clear vase to create a bright elegant looking pot for an orquíd?

what kinda temperature do you try to keep the water for the orchids?

"Leave dying leaves on the plant until they fall off on their own" not only goes for orchids, but for all plants. They will suck out every bit of nutrient off the old leaf before they drop it. And if you remove it to soon, that nutrients lack in the plant.
