This dance routine is flawed... Not your fault be any means ... Just saying .. If your follow any 16 bar cycle of music this routine off by a quarter bar
This is NOT The Electric Slide - this is the Electric Slide 2 - which is a variation of the original copyright protected The Electric by Ric Silver copyright 1976 please list it as such - the EFF has ruled that any video using my choreography MUST give me authorship credit whether the variation or any variation thereof. Please comply Steps 13, 14, 15, & 16 should be repeated prior to the 1/4 turn to correctly do the original Electric Slide
Yes I am white hahaha! I already knew this dance. They did good at teaching the basic steps, I was waiting for them to bust out and really dance , but can you real teach someone to feel the music and flow with it? I don't know. They taught the basic steps and stayed on beat. I think that was their only purpose and they accomplished what they were trying to teach and made it easy.
Great instruction.. agree with Yolande Labbe. ..and by the way, Ric Slivering (the supposed 'inventor' - his words - of the 'original' dance) is wrong when he says the video must give credit to him.

Ric Silver is correct that the back-step isn't being done correctly. But Ric Silver is wrong that the 4th part is repeated. I've been doing the Electric Slide since 1989 when it first came out....it would be nice to find a video where it's being taught correctly.

It was created that way - you have to do two complete sections to get back to the down beat....
