Here we go
are you going to make a titan bubble vs stasis video? (sorry if i just missed a video)
Light vs Dark, Light vs light and mixed playlists for some of these problems this could work in pvp.
I know sunsetting is bad but destiny 2 was a looter shooter now light MMO now aren’t we supposed to find better weapons then using that one weapons u been using for a long time.
I agree with the vid, only issue is we have known loot was a major issue in pvp basically since ritual weapons stopped being put out. Bungie must see at least some of these videos, and they still haven't done the bare minimum. I usually give bungie slack but this is at the point of incompetence now. We have felt the pop drop season over season for so long.
@@jjmax981 But then they release the same guns for us to re-grind; negating their own sunsetting philosophy. Are you following along?
Tbh, I am sick and tired of hearing "It will be fixed next season".
and yet we always come back, crack I tell you
Bungie delivers empty promises. It’s time for people to move on. Including me. It’s been real, it’s been fun, but it hasn’t been real fun.
I want it fixed this season. Fuck your next season shit. THIS season

We’ve been saying that for years. At this point we have to acknowledge that that future “perfect season” is never gonna come.
Note: Johnny Day Job does not play Trials and goes flawless on a regular basis. He doesn't even play trials, he only plays his 3 games of control for Pinnacle rewards.
Can I "like" this twice?
Fallout: Johnny day job works hard and finally goes flawless
Me, who plays 3-4 hours every day and still has no chance of going flawless due to DDOS and 3 stacked top 100 players being rampant in the playlist:
Johnny Day Jod tried trials when it was released and continues his deep hatred for it
And if Johnny Day job is feeling a bit try hard he gets his pinnacle on three characters and logs out. I feel this is now the majority of us!
It’s possible to be a Johnny day job and still a hardcore d2 player. Source Johnny day job at 1284 LL day one raid all in game titles etc.
When every other game ends with Shaxx calling it, you know something's broken.
I see more mercy rules than full games
@@spicysnowman8886 it’s so frustrating honestly I just want to finish games
Probably cause of the new meta. Don't get why bungie decide to make sunsetting a thing due to the old meta only to replace said meta with one that's 10x worse to deal with than the old one
Dismantling blues is the core gameplay of Destiny
So much truth in this comment 😪

Underrated comment.

"Disrespectful of players' time" sums up the state of the game nicely right now. Even down to Europa being a ridiculously long zone with one real travel point. Down to how mind-numbingly boring it is to unlock stasis aspects, especially for a second character. Down to how completely unrewarding virtually every aspect of PvP is and has been for YEARS. "Renewed focus on the crucible". Remember that? Where's that skeleton waiting meme
If by the next season, they don’t add in some PvE content similar to escalation protocol/contact, fix Stasis, and make PvP worth doing, I’m not playing anymore. I’m currently not now, I’m just waiting and keeping my ear to the ground.
I really want to unlock stasis on my other two characters but can't bring myself to go through the whole campaign again for each. I rarely play them anyway, so for me, it's VERY low on the list of priorities.
@@liontamerxxwvwxx1280 Doesn’t help that the campaign isn’t particularly good. Eramis still doesn’t beat Oryx.
its been the case since shadowkeep, the game never value player's playtime. ill given credit to sundial and umbral engram though, but then bungie always walk one step forward two step back because they dont keep the good system.

It's only happened once, what do u mean you're so tired of it?
@@sirloin7633 haha, ok so year 1 trials armor. We got it in year 1. For year two they introduced armor 2.0 system and the trials armor became useless until prophecy dungeon came back. So armor 2.0 created issues. The dreaming city armor was the same. We have reearned plenty. I had to get a second Better Devils. A weapon. We also had to snag all new sets of each leviathon raid. The first sets armor 1.0 sunset at 1060. They didn't call it Sunsetting then.
Yea. But if we paid for this shit.... Why are we earning anyway

I switched to wraith on hunter. You can go right through it during your super, and you also get wall hacks after a pick. Or there is always top-tree dawn and icuras dash with floating for odd angles.
I've gotten 3 wins once, and that only because the 2nd win was free since enemies left the match. Highest my team would get is like 1/2 wins every 20-30 losses.
I mean do you see what he's playing?
You need a stacked team. Fallout is in an all streamer top 1% pvp clan. LFG is full of either new players with negative kd or paid carries. It'll take time to build a roster of people that can hang against the other stacks and cheaters.
Hadn't played this game in 2 years came back and was handicapped heavily...literally couldnt move. Then came hawkmoon and felwinter

Stasis broke crucible to a point where I can't enjoy it anymore.
Yeah same here man .
@fenberry24 you can very easily tell if it’s yours or the enemies. The enemies’ will have a very distinct red tint to it.
My stasis experience in summary 20:17
I had a game with no Stasis on any team and I got like 4 multi kills, got a 2.36 ratio and overall was a very, very fun experience
I'm not good, I'm serviceable, but that just prove how much Stasis (aka mercy ruler) fucks over the crucible
Stasis made bad match making an even worse experience!
remember at the end of d1 when wombo combo and sticky nades were broken, and a core philosophy of grenades in pvp for d2 would be that they dont one hit kill u...and now they freeze u...which might as well be a one hit EVEN IN YOUR SUPER
"We don't want to release Trials half-baked."
Almost nothing about it has changed from D1. It's a direct port.
Cobalt Epsilon the loot system changed. It's worse now.
Trials didn't come back half-baked, it came back totally uncooked and left out too long at room temperature.
Comparing D2 Trials to D1 Trials is an insult to D1 Trials in general, if only it was like on D1 where Trials actually felt meaningful i would be happy
Its a port but a lot worse
@@Auren23 I still remember the times in D1 where I'd be so excited to go on after school on a Friday night and go flawless with my friends. I've only been playing D2 since March or something like that, and after playing a few cards on Trials, I haven't revisited it. I only know it's there when CZcamsrs go on about it. Such a shame
Every time bungie makes a mistake everyone says “let’s hope they learn from this mistake”. Hate to say it but I’m done waiting for them to get it right. I’ll still keep in the news for destiny, but I’m not playing it again any time soon.
It has been this way for six years now. Count em: SIX. YEARS. Of nothing but "hope they learn."
At this point im only here for the story and lore. Gameplay wise im done. Moving on to other games
@@fishnutz5196 Honestly I think this is the healthiest attitude to take towards the game at this point. Straight up expect NOTHING. Play it if you have fun, grind shit out if you want, but don't expect anything to have any lasting impact. Just kinda... enjoy it in the moment, I guess.
It's unfortunate that it has gotten to that point, but I don't see how else I would approach it. I've been playing Destiny since vanilla D1, and I don't want to just drop it, but much like you, I feel so DONE when it comes to all the bullshit back and forth with regards to loot, sunsetting of gear, and other things. I have... no energy to give to that. My investment in the game's world and the feel of the gunplay itself are the only two things that still keep me coming back to the game.
@@JJMomoida and... don't buy silver. ever. again.
Yeah same. I joined right before Forsaken and it's just been tone deafness from Bungie. I decided to go play Elder Scrolls Online of all things with my friends instead. And went back to Halo for PvP stuff.
It's crazy how in D1 I wouldn't stop playing but since the release of D2 I've been on and off with this game.
I tried trials with my friends recently, we ended up facing the same team 3 times in a row that we won against. Then we ended up facing a different team twice in a row which we lost. I didn't realize there were only us and 6 people playing trials in the world. Overall great matchmaking
Alternative Title: Fallout explains why Bungie’s PvP isn’t a god roll
Bad handling, no range, mediocre stability.
It's gonna sunset anyway so what's the point?
╮(─_─)╭
The worst part is when they do bring felwinters back it will cost 2 ascendant shards and be sunsetted the season after.
Two ascendant shards isn’t much for one of the best guns in the game
@@patrickkuhn5703 I know but compared to the original quest which was just 500 shotgun kills, and you could just farm escalation protocol, Two ascendant shards is a ton more
Idk whats worse, making it unobtainable to people who missed it or letting everyone buy the most dominant weapon because they can't be bothered to balance it.
"Its like the game just took a crap on his heart" - that was beautiful despite being both true and sad!
Solution: Keep Stasis PvE exclusive, Crucible will thrive without it.p
Agreed 100%.
HOT TAKE: Felwinter should've stayed in D1. We have a huge special weapon problem and bringing back the best shotgun with a version of a perk that had to be removed completely from the game because of how good it was makes it worse.
Shared every frustration. Literally every single one. As for matchmaking, someone please tell me, a solo player, why I’m matching against a 4, 5, or 6 stack of clan members??? In control too???
Oh you have the same problem too
Yeah, its a damn shame we don't have party sized limit matchmaking. So a party of 4 or more(or whichever tested metric) would have to find another team with a party size 4+ and could not find a 3 stack or down. I dont even play Iron Banner anymore. Not in a long time.
@@TenSuns1914 there is a freelancer IB playlist :) you only match solo players
@@xCrOaTiEnSniPZzx thats awesome to know, much thanks. I wonder how long theyve had it. I dont play Crucible anymore though. ZERO.

/glitching around the map in nearly every game I play. It’s got to the point now where I’m ready to give up again.
THIS. P2P Hybrid networking was one of the worst decisions by Bungie. That and the fact that we can't see player latency and choose our region of play.
The game is F2P now, I'd imagine there's enough players in every region for timely queues.
It's so frustrating fighting people from across the world playing on their WiFi-enabled toasters.
@@fourzod I would happily wait longer in matchmaking for better connections at this point
But, but, but it's connection base! That's why the crybabies wanted to get rid of Skill base because of longer que times and teleporters!!
I’m still astonished there isn’t a new Europa map.
It's completely baffling that there isn't.
They moved great PvP maps into the vault but added 0 maps??
The Crucible shouldn't have a freeze mini-game that inevitably leads to death.
Genuinely, PVE and PVP Need to be removed from one another. The two being so inextricably tied together means that changing aspects of one, makes it unfun for the other.
Too many questlines are gated through PvP. As a solo PvE player its pretty hopeless
@@baadtaste1337 I mean another way to look at that is PVP players need to go play tons of PVE quests ...

I tried trials this season just to try and complete some bounties and have a little fun. Every team was shatter dive hunters. Insane.
I mentioned this about the astral you talked about. Anytime a weapon is reintroduced there should be a way to “reinfuse light” into your weapons.
Bungie: Actually balances guns.
Also Bungie: Makes gunplay irrelevant.
This exactly.
You get a standing ovation!!👏👏👏👏
I agree with this wholeheartedly. I feel like the various weapon archetypes viability is reasonably level across the board (with a few outliers) and it's fun playing with most weapons now. HOWEVER, the fact that any Joe Shmoe can freeze me (or shatterdive me) in a duel that I would have won cause they can't hit their shots is frustrating as all hell. Also, can we PLEASE get some proper incentive/rewards for playing PvP?
I haven't played in weeks because of this. I've been spending my time and money playing Genshin Impact instead.
'balanced' Yes, because a scout rifle that is literally lobbing Hot-dog sized bullets at someones head & it takes 4 shots to kill is balanced.
There are actually complaints of scout rifles being good... they’ve truly found balance you’ve made it official.
There’s absolutely no incentive to play PvP is the biggest issue with it.
Came here to say this, I feel very little interest in comp even though all I need is one more Glory max out to get Unbroken. It's just...blah
Control is okayish for a few rounds now and then but I can't say the rewards feel like they are worth chasing there either. I do NOT want more blues to dismantle FFS
Yes💯
Its almost like it kind of an after thought and the game is actually a mainly pve game
Pretty much, only thing I can honestly say that right now the only thing I would even consider "grinding" Crucible for right now is a god roll Stars in shadow........for PvP, needless to point out that this loop basically means that I don't bother.
Edit: Grammar.
Why does pvp need an incentive anyway? If you like it you play it that's how having fun works. If you need a carrot dangled in front of you to have fun then that's not really bungos fault
never seen one of your videos, and honestly for the first few minutes I had mistakenly thought Datto had just released a more chill rant video. I like your cut G *sound of slapping the subscribe button*
The Sunsetting problem also affects a bunch of the raid loot. I got a god roll Chattering Bone from LW in Season of Arrivals, but it sunsets earlier then if i got one this season? SO i have to grind for a second role to get another season out of it?
Appreciate the Johnny Day job section. I'm definitely not that guy but it shows you get you're not just accounting for your personal experiences to put out thoughts on the current situation.
I did as well, streamers usually don't represent the player base, so at least, self aware is important
Stay far away from Datto’s latest then lmfao
@@Rope_Adope why? I just saw it and cant see why?
Honestly. Failing to respect Johnny Dayjob is what killed Warframe for me- not gonna put in hours upon hours of grind for mediocre content. Hoping Bungie doesn't fall into that trap.
Exactly!
Speaking on behalf of a bunch of Johnny Day Jobs and “Casuals” here, sometime we just wanna get in crucible just to have fun. After 7-8 straight games of getting mercy ruled by other teams no matter if they are stacked or randos, you call it a night and try doing it again the next day with similar outcome, you can hardly call it “fun” anymore. Let’s be honest here, there is no matchmaking algorithm in the background, and by the time there actually is one, they are going be left with nobody to matchmaking with.
I know DTRs ELO is not representative of Bungies MM, but it is depressingly accurate. I still distinctly remember matching into an entirely solos match where I was the highest ELO on my team and would have been the lowest if I was swapped to the other team.
This was with no fireteams to skew things and it really dented any desire to play Crucible seriously, since it feels like the team balancing algo has a far greater impact on the outcome of matches than any individual skill I might display
@@never3nder Absolutely. It’ll be fun to see how bad of a losing streak me and my casual buddies need to be on in Iron Banner until Bungie’s so-called “matchmaking algorithm” will start to kick in and realize that one side is truly not enjoying the game mode. 7 straight mercies? 10? I had a friend, competent player straight up deleted the game after 5 straight losses, and make room for other PvE only games.
Nowadays it feels very rare for a quickplay game to go the distance. Maybe it's just confirmation bias, but it feels like over 50% of my games wind up with a mercy stoppage, even after the changes they made. I wonder if it's a, pardon the pun, snowball effect from all of the stasis freezing going on.
@@atomic_wait I believe you are making a strong point there. The only time my team was able to win any games is when the opposing teams were not using stasis subclass, while some of my own teammates are running stasis. OP would be the right way to describe all the stasis subclass at this point.
I agree...The new mercy rule is garbage. A match is over in half the time. You get steam rolled, read “we’re breaking up those teams” only to get put into another match back to back where the team is already losing 60 to 17. And get mercied about one minute later. Just to read “we’re breaking up those teams” again. If their going to have this stupid rule they need a solos only matchmaking for every game type. So I’m not getting fisted by a full clan of Unbrokens just to get my pinnacle reward.
Johnny Day Job here, thanks for this brother fantastic video and great input! Wish someone would listen to your suggestions -- hope the new year is treating you well!
They let the Stasis Genie out of the bottle and it can't be put back in, we just need them to grant us 3 wishes in the form of updated light subclasses.
With that line of thinking, you are just playing into their hand - or did you already forget about Luke's Super sunsetting interview?
@@mbazoka That's a lot of speculation on that topic, nothing was concrete in that interview. I honestly think there's a large portion of players that will complain regardless of what state the game is in. We shouldn't be jumping the gun.
@@woodstock7063 Just like nothing was concrete when they first broached the topic of sunsetting gear. Bungie doesn't start topics they havent thought about for some time already. And theres6 nothing speculative in my comment. Luke Smith said that updating Light subclasses would mean they would look like the current Stasis system.
10:25 Ding ding ding. Long time player here, Destiny has almost never respected our time. Sunsetting and then re-releasing the same guns for us to re-grind is merely Bungie doubling down on that philosophy.
As much as I hate losing my favorite guns and their kill counters, the hard to swallow truth is that this gear change is a very normal thing in online games with rpg elements. The end game gear usually gets depreciated every so often and the end game gear you once had becomes completely useless.
I am not defending bungo either. Usually games will give you brand new gear. Giving us the same exact guns with just a different power cap is definitely insulting
@@chrisborges7344 they only reissue weapons in the free lootpool. this whole redditard idea of bungo reskinning weapons and selling them back again has literally never happened except for opulence where literally every weapon was a d1 gun xD
Imo Sunsetting wouldn’t be an issue if it was done properly. The killer for me is exactly what you pointed out, re-releasing the same guns for no fucking reason other than grind is stupid AF and disrespectful to player’s time. Powercreep is definitely an issue, but what they’re doing IS NOT they way to go about it
I mean we should have seen it coming. *You like Fatebringer? Get ready to grind for a worse roll!!!*
Johnny day job here I haven't even looked at trials since year one for this exact reason! thank you fallout!
I love his enthusiast and interest for PVP players no matter how casual or sweaty we are, because we do like to play this game as much as we can, I will even say we play more than PVE players, trough the whole seasons and there's nothing to do after a month or when DLC content becomes old, we are the ones that are always playing, because Destiny PVP is (or was mostly) fun and the gunplay in this game is so great.
I went flawless ONCE back in D1 then I stop caring all together about trials when I was 1 win away from going flawless again but got DDOS
I wasn’t a Johnny day job until about 6 months ago and let me tell you man I feel you now
I understand how you feel. I wanted to go flawless because I wanted that personal achievement under my belt. But then I realized there isn’t a point when I can get all the gear at 3 wins. The worst part is the flawless loot isn’t even that worth it so no real reason to go flawless.
Hi there
Here is a thought that you didnt mention and I'm curious to see others thoughts. Destiny first caught my attention because of the great weapon play. At least it was one of the greater factors for me. I feel as if weapons have become less important and abilities are the main source of killing. Abilities should compliment good weapon play not be nearly spamable. I bring this up because its not something I hear others talk about much. Am I alone in this?
welcome to what happened to halo in a nut shell 2.0
You're the first YTber to mention about the working Joe. THANK YOU
Seriously, thank you. I myself have just started working in a 9-6 job last September and I don't have the luxury of time and energy to grind in Trials
I’m a Johnny Day Job, husband, dad, etc...definitely not the main demographic. I log into PvP for the loot. I forced myself through Iron Banner in D1 because the gear looked dope and I could get it just by putting in the time. If I can’t get the loot because I suck...cough Trials cough...I’m not going to be cannon fodder to sweats!
That’s why D1’s system of just play and get loot (via bounties) is better than the D2 system. But bungie is too stubborn to ever go back to a working solution.
@@maxhocks2006 Problem is that pinnacle weapons have to be "pinnacle". I never got Not Forgotten, i wasnt good enough. I did get the Lunas Howl though, and damnit! im proud of that! Skill based accomplishments are very necessary imo.

@@_SimpleJack_ try VR, there’s a lot of good experiences you can have with that
I’ve watched into 11:33 in your video and have a couple things to say:
1. Felwinters was a limited quest for a seasonal activity. If Line In The Sand was the absolute best dps weapon for DSC, and people missed out, then too bad, go use anarchy + double slug which can still onephase taniks. The reason felwinters is used is cause it’s reliable and there’s a little bit of nostalgia. But there are shotguns that can oneshot supers and kill at further ranges that are available to players right now. You may not have an old, LIMITED weapon that you missed out on. But you can still use something that gets the job done just as well.
2. The currency for levelling up sunset things is a bad idea. I’d rather see updates to activity loot pools like trials, crucible, strikes etc. to give us new things to grind for. Also, *laughs in un-sunset mountaintop*.
Im a relatively new destiny player. The ace of spades quest back in Forsaken was my first step into pvp, loved the grind. Havent felt that since.

Imo these are the most basic changes we need
I really like your ideas, they make a lot of sense, and are super important c:
Trials weapons (or at minimum adept weapons) have no reason to have any ‘bad’ perks like other weapons do
Trials should only have a light level requirement and leave behind Iron Banner’s arbitrary damage boost & reduction because it doesn’t solve any problems and lowers Trials player count
Sunsetting should only apply to pinnacle weapons and would give them the perfect excuse to keep making more
Bungie has an overall need to start prioritizing quality over quantity and improve what they have
Also slow shoud be just slow, should not take away your hability to jump
I think, also, that supers shouoldn't be able to be frozen- freeze should only work when inflicted on a non-super guardian *by* a guardian in their super. Getting frozen by a melee ability mid-thundercrash feels like I'm getting cucked by god.
@@skintxisu If you physically cant run then you cant jump.
Fallout: "go get a drink"
Me: "dont have to ask me twice"
Great vid Fallout! Ok - this is my theory:
1) bungie knows the PVP meta
2) bungie knows the meta weapons
3) bungie knows the favored perks for these meta weapons.
This in mind - I'm convinced there is a mechanic in the game that determines the drop rate of these weapons and perks. The more desirable - the less chance you have. This weeks IB so far (daily 5hr hauls)- I had 2 Steady Hand drops...both trash, but many, I mean many Shining Spheres. How does that work? I kept stats on the MB grind back in the day - same thing, the useless perks rolled out way more than desired perks. Welcome to Bungie Casino. So, the thought continues - why am I putting myself through this?

2:30 actually in pvp and pve, you can break enemies crystals as well and it also activates the improved ability regeneration, if your titan its even better, it also activates the melee crystal thing.

Very good point
Cool vid honestly new game modes like hard point or capture the flag or demolition would be so cool but we won’t know until we try
In my perspective as someone who started when in D2 launch, the old systems feel way better than this. Although I was kinda salty about my weapons being reset in Forsaken, I could understand the reasoning behind it. Similarly, I came back at the start of Dawn, and it was pretty fun. However now, its kinda a shitshow compared to how it was, especially with sunsetting, which sure, does kinda solve the power creep issues, but the main thing is that as the video mentions, there's nothing to chase. The main reason I left in forsaken was really there was nothing to chase in pvp as a D2 base game player since I would just get slapped by trust, lunas, NF, and especially dust rock blues, which kinda tilted me. Now though, this is way worse than forsaken. Even as bad as forsaken was for me, at least I had some fun. Now, I have no reason to come back to D2, and have moved on to other games for the time being, until they finally fix this.
Agreed on all points, also control as the main playlist is just a big mistake. At least put clash in there to. I hate control so much that I actualy play elimination more atm.
For most people the sunsetting problem was already obvious before it even started.
Edit: and tbh, nowadays it's impossible for a Johny Dayjob to go flawless except for a cary. That how horible that playlist is at the moment. So we don't even try anymore.
100% agree with everything you’ve said in this video.
Yassss
For that regrind thing, maybe we could somehow inherit the light limit from newer guns to our old once (for same model only obviously). Like that you should have to get a new one to infuse, but you can keep your god roll with your stats.
great vid Fallout. I main (rather, mained) PVP as my core/favorite activity. Loot wasn't even a concern of mine. But with the catastrophic changes Stasis has introduced to the playlist, I'm no longer able to derive entertainment from it. Been playing other games since I finished the Beyond Light campaign.
I just got into the free to play version of destiny 1 week ago and when I first got into pvp I just got smacked by abilities. I didn't even know what stasis was and just thought they are also overpowered supers. Anyways I thought the gunplay was really neat and asked myself why there isn't a mode without super abilities and just normal granades, so I googled it and discoverd some threads about the topic.
Some people liked the idea but a lot of people where downright hated it. They where like "no I wouldn't play it, therfore bungie shouldn't provide it" and " it wouldn`t be Destiny without abilites. If you dont't want them play CoD" eveb thought the gameplay is still completely diffrent. I mean just one mode where you play control without abilities surely wouldn't be too much work to develop.
That's what I've been asking for since last year.
We got Momentum Control: abilities were really slow to recharge and health was very low, basically Halo SWAT. It was a rotating playlist, so we got it only on certain weeks, but it was still something and yet Bungie removed that one too!
Bungie's been catering to this brainless, one hit KO play style for so many years that most players just don't want a fixed, primary only loadout without abilities. Why? Because they suck at gunfights. Nobody challenges you in a 1v1 fair duel unless they have OHKO abilities/special weapons.
We could get a playlist like this alongside all the others, but no, shit on us.
Shit, I'd be happy if people went into Control and actually played the objective! Most people don't even play to win, they just play for the highest kill count or to make montage clips. Helloooo, that's what Clash is for. There's no incentive to play the objective, and no punishment for disregarding it.
I would main a playlist without abilities.
Gun play is very important to me and I absolutely can't stand players who won't play the objective.
Sure you top fragged the match, but if you had captured even 1 control point we could have won instead being mercied. So.. yay for being a twat.
There is no “renewed focus on PvP.”
There is no renewed focus anywhere, this game's pvp and pve is pretty booty atm
Dang guess all the nerfing and buffing to weapons and the reintroduction of trials and old d1 maps didn’t happen. This is the most balanced pvp has ever been
@@Benny_B0O0 most balanced? Are you kidding? Sure, the primary sandbox feels good, but that almost doesn’t matter when special weapons totally dominate the sandbox, and the light-based subclasses are comically underpowered compared to stasis. I know numerous PvP mains, dudes with thousands of hours in d1 and 2, who have quit the game and aren’t coming back unless PvP gets some serious attention. Most playlists, especially 6s, are hellscapes of ability/nade spam and OHK weapons.
And since when does bringing old stuff back count as attention and content? I’m really baffled by players getting so pumped about Bungie bringing back weapons and maps from d1. Like, really? THAT SHIT SHOULD HAVE LAUNCHED WITH D2. But this season, they couldn’t even manage to bring back ONE map from D1 - and crucible lost 10 maps. Adept weapons are ass (I know, I got one and it sucked; instant delete), trials loot structure still sucks, and ZERO unique rewards in comp.
Please, just stop making excuses for their laziness and mediocrity.
@@geraldclark9280 Right. It’s not like Destiny pve is this amazing experience that players won’t shut up about.

Thank you Fallout for making this video, I got dragged into Destiny by a friend, after playing Warframe a bunch and then having a WoW period of unhealthy playtimes in relation to Real-life tasks ^^.
Destiny 2 was great!
I loved just going into PvP casually with my friends, sweaty matches and easy-going ones where fun, but considering that I am a very average and new player, even I asked myself, why there were so many game modes and felt like it's something good because there are modes for everyone to have fun with, but to me, it seemed like too many things to focus on.
I feel like there should be a more invested approach towards PvP because in my opinion, yes it is a looter shooter, but the gunplay is just good.. it feels good and that aspect shines the most in PvP in comparison to shooting Vex in their Belly (which is also cool don't get me wrong).
For Trials, I had that exact mindset of the average Joe ._. I did have a veteran player and his veteran crew show me the ropes, but the carrot was disappointing because I knew that it will be sunset and didn't see much of a point grinding for it :/
I hope Bungie can spare some investment into the PvP scene because as already mentioned, it is a big and shiny part of Destiny (in my opinion) :)
Thank you for pointing out SO much!
Weapon wise it’s the same as ever: hand cannons, shotties and snipers. As soon as anything else stands out, people lose their mind. Things often feel stale because that’s what the community wants, the weapons they like to be the weapons everyone uses.

Because it is, those Supers are just copied classes with some tweaks, Bungie is giving us the bare minimum product with the minimal effort they can, since quite a while.
Answering the reason for stepping into comp playlist question: A) to hit Legend someday and feel like I actually earned my Not Forgotten that I grabbed from the kiosk and B) because I like survival.
I just want to know how the F are we continuos playing on Titan since it has disappeared by darkness right?
Honestly I don't think stasis is as bad as the rest of the sandbox makes it seem, I think if it only had a counter there would be less to complain about. The real issue with pvp is bungie's utter lack of intention to maintain a wealth of new content. We haven't had new maps in over a year, and when they came last year they were recycled d1 maps. How is this even remotely okay? Then on top of the already meager offering we had half of the existing maps removed with nothing to replace them. Bungie wonders why pvp is dying yet they refuse to put in the work to keep it breathing.
I'd be fine if they did the following: made fire-based subclasses resistant to stasis (eg. thaw out faster, be able to unfreeze teammates, take little/no damage from getting frozen), more effective counterplay against stasis for Light subclasses, and for stasis subclasses to be open to all players, not just those who bought Beyond Light. They also need to unvault all the content they vaulted because there was so little PvE content to begin with that there is no justification for removing it, especially with new subclasses that likely would have made playing that old PvE content a little more refreshing.
Can we also talk about how the "armor refresh" was one new set copied and pasted to strikes, crucible, and gambit? Like the only other new sets are the Europan and raid armor sets
They said they were gonna do that, but why do they gotta make it look so ugly and generic. They could have atleast made it look decent.
I think a good way to fix the sunset stuff is for it to cost an asecndent shard and a copy of itself, (with a higher power cap of course) to up its cap, that way you cant have a season one weapon but you can keep certain weapons
As a note, stasis peks that involve breaking shards work for both friendly AND enemy ice.
Lack of incentive! 100% no reason to hop in matches or Strikes. Also strikes don’t have enough enemies. I have to fight my teammates for kills
hate playing with so called teammates who are trying to hog every kill and race trough the strike.
Can we please just get a solo strike playlist?! Even a filthy casual like myself wouldn't have any issue with the bosses.
I faced the same problem until I started using a D2 solo script. Load solo into everything
Laughs in trinity ghoul
Pvp meta: use stasis and felwinter or loose.
I miss the gunskill factor: the fight gets win by the Player who has a Bad connection and teleport melee Spams or the Player who has his stasis grenade
I dont have Felwinter because I didnt return until it was taken out of rotation. Hate to say it but I'm tossing the hat for PVP
Felwinter is litterally a purple botheration. If you still want felwinters, although slightly worse, use the botheration. Works wonders.
@JustJake Yep it's the same archetype. However Toil and Trouble with Full Choke (for consistency) is better. It's the same archetype and since it's a legendary you can put an Icarus mod on it. It doesn't have Quickdraw in the perk pool, but atleast it has Snapshot Sights.
The best replacement is Seventh Seraph CQC 12 with Full Choke, Quickdraw and Vorpal (you can 2 tap Supers... if you wont get frozen).
@@HusarX579 mmm no, I'm saying it's a direct copy and paste. Look at the gun models. Oh, toil and trouble is shit, don't bother with it.
Since they both have similar barrel length, they will have similar range too ( not kidding) .
I’ve watched shatterdive kill a titan in his bubble with armor of light from outside the bubble time and time again in mayhem. That’s where I draw the line
Yeah, it's frustrating, but as a Bubble Titan main, I can assure you that I've gotten used to anything and everything just waltzing right through my bubble to kill me, so I'm not exactly surprised that the new OP subclasses can do the same, but easier.
imagine if there's a PVP game mode where everyone uses the same loadout and it swaps every reset (weapons being provided?).and it being a weekly rotater gamemode like momentum control or supremacy could be cool to see the RNG kicking in and swapping the loadout daily and then u have stuff like Bow-HC or maybe fusion-pulse
So... that hunter dive thing is a straight up better version of middle tree striker melee. Even with synthoceps.
yeah I'm a hunter main and it is really overtuned. The glacier nade really needs to be looked at in terms of damage and range against guardians. I'll be happy as long as they don't nerf shatterdive itself too much and dont touch the glacier in pve.
i feel like ppl look way too much into the shatterdive honestly the big problem is the synergy u have with the shatterdive AND the glacier wall nade so in my opinion i feel we should just change the grenade and not need the shatterdive into the ground. and if shatterdive nerfs happen then titan 20 meter slide should also get looked at because that just makes titans better shotgunners than they already are and it is so easy to use
@@HELiXDzn123 I think that would be the fix, leave it alone for pve but detune it for pvp
Yes, yes it is
@@yonisabdi2814 The issue is more of one how stasis effects pvp overall. For instance: I has playing mayhem yesterday because I was bored, so I decided to F around and use code of the missile (hence how I came to the original realization). So, I activate my super, and when I actually get to someone, I get frozen in midair by one of many things and fall to the ground like a rock. Insult to injury, there is a glitch that will not allow you to unfreeze yourself after that. You will place a barricade instead. My point is, stasis has a way of negating just about anything in ways it simply shouldn’t. My biggest gripe, I guess, is the freezing of non-roaming supers. Missile, Chaos reach, anything like that. You can do that with a grenade, a melee. It’s not even a worry. The shatterdive combo wouldn’t be so much of an issue if the radius of the shattered ice wasn’t so large. I know they don’t like separating PvP from PvE, but I think it would be better for stasis. At the end of the day, I like where stasis is in PvE. But in PvP it’s undeniably problematic. But a few tweaks, and I think it could still be great while not being completely overpowering.

I think a good QoL change to Crucible would be to add Classic Mix and put all of the old game modes back into it, but also add game mode voting thats similar to Halo MCC. You could even go as far as to have map voting as well. The caveat to reduce queue dodging would be to penalize it. If you dodge queue because of match preference, theres a stacking debuff almost that increases your own wait time before the next match you can play. If you don't want to roll the dice on different game modes, then you can keep playing Control as its the constant casual mode thats always available.
Its a shame that the weapon sandbox being so good this season, is overshadowed by how awful stasis is in the crucible.

Lots of good points here fallout. Me personally think that new maps and more to rewards to chase on the PVP side of things would be nice, but also I'm not great at PVP.
