Can you do the same house through the decades? Like how the same house would look in the 70s, 80s, 90, 2000s, 2010s and now. I think it can be a really fun series.

@@Dorkella_ If going for a British suburb it would be quite realistic lol. Those bathrooms are tiny (mostly cus they're pre war and back then the bathroom would've been outside originally, and then the house was butchered to fit a bathroom inside)

I feel like it would be cool if you could do a "renovating my subscribers builds". It could be really educational, showing beginner builders how to improve their builds!! I was building a house earlier today for my sims family and was like- I wish Deli could be here and just fix it

I'm born in the 70's and we had a green velvet sofa, brown oak furniture and orange lamps and kitchen stuff. In the 80's the orange and green were replaced with camel, sand, taupe and leather. 😁
I would love to live somewhere that’s a mix of 60’s-80’s styles similar to my grandma’s house, but even more overboard.. As long as there’s no carpet in the bathroom.

This was such a cool video concept! I was really impressed with how different you can make the same space feel with different decor. The cottage-core one was my favorite but honestly I was super impressed with how all of them turned out! Definitely want to download the base build and try my own hand at decorating it
I really love the Idea that you put up a basic floorplan onto the gallery for those who struggle to build and doing floor layouts (I know this is for a super fun challenge - for me, being a building lover😍 but it will really help struggling builders in general too!)
Edit: I actually REALLY LOVE how the mid-century house turned out!! The colors are super fun.

As a mom, I can tell you that we don’t “do it.” You get done what you need to get done by making sacrifices, like taking showers or making money. Or you make sacrifices in time with your kids. I appreciate the props, though haha. 💕 being a parent is the best crappy job there is 😂

This was a very creative idea that worked really well! It's a bit like a shell challenge for yourself, but with the rooms and furniture already laid out. I love how you chose very basic, completely white furniture for the base build. It really looks like a template! And if anyone trying their hand at this decides to add bumpouts, a second level, move the furniture around or divide everything up into more rooms or things like that, it's totally possible with this as well. This is the kind of content that is creative, interesting, and helpful to many people at the same time!

I rewatch Deligracy build videos all the time because the way you describe architecture and design is so informative. Anything Deli wants to teach, I am ready to learn!

Love this video! I’d love to see even a part 2 with different styles, if you were up to it. I think my favorite was the midcentury house. I liked the exterior of the minimalist build v much, too, though (and I could certainly be wrong) I thought the inside was almost a bit too colorful and decorated to be truly minimalist. yes, but a lot of modern designers actually started in the 20's and 30's like Frank Lloyd Wright.
The purple parent's room is totally my style! I already have purple walls, purple sheets and duvet with turquoise as my accent :)
My build style is somewhere between your minimalist and suburban builds. I tend to do a Japanese-inspired contemporary look with black and white, mahogany woods, pops of red or turquoise. Its pretty cool how you made the same house look so different between all of these :) I like the first one best I think!
As a mom to 2 kids we don't, we just manage lol. The day never ends and usually mommy suffers from self care. Luckily I have an amazing husband who works full time and helps with the babies. It's a struggle but a well worth struggle. Love your videos deli!

I loved all these styles. I definitely enjoyed the cottage core one the most, and would love to have a little cottage one day. I lean into the minimalist style more, especially with two boys 3 and under at home.
I didn’t realize I was so early until I saw how new these comments were I love these kinds of build videos and seeing different styles as well as being super interested in the history of design in pretty much every department (buildings, clothing, art, interior design, party foods etc) this is right up my alley

I'm the 60's, my parents had macrame, glass grapes, and brass owls. Also, freakin' orange shag carpet!
The mid centry home reminds me so much of my grandparents' house when I was growing up; the wood paneling, the oranges, the CARPETS omg - thanks for the nostalgia

I love the midcentury look! Partially my personal preference and partially the nostalgia of the house my grandparents lived in while I was growing up (gotta love orange shag carpeting).
I've been looking into different architectural styles and this is really helpful! Especially in thinking about how to implement them in The Sims.
Something to look into, there’s a lot of Airbnb/VRBO houses that are like mid century themed or have specific themes. We stayed in a 50s diner themed house for a vacation and it was really fun. Might be cool to consider for a vacation for you and Jams!

Love the mid-century house and the décor. After watching your videos I have realised that mid-century is the style I like in houses, and I can't wait to try and furnish the house myself. But it is very inspirational seeing your choices, that work, and I wouldn't have thought could work, like the red kimchen cabinets :D.
Deli, this was such a helpful video. I struggle a lot when building, and usually pay no mind to styles and such but it is because it seemed so overwhelming to me to even start to know which style is which. Seeing a simple yet so functional floorplan and then have it transformed in houses that look so different was a lot of help. Thanks!

Thank you this helped me because when I build they all turn out the same 🤣. Please teach me how to landscape and roof. I also struggle with window placement.
I don’t have a reference picture but I got an idea for a build! So my grandparents neighbors have the strangest looking house, the best I can describe it is a concrete dome. They also have a bunch of farmland around it, but not that much grass because where they live they can’t use that much water (tropical desert kind of place).
My favorite was the mid century! Everything about it! Although the cottage core main living spaces and the modern bathrooms were gorgeous to me as well!
The two Modern builds and the Suburnban are may faves. This was quite an interestingly different build video. Which I enjoyed and learned tons from. Thanks. Terrific idea to start with a sort of blank build inside with floor plan to just switch out items and add decor.
You should do a series where you talk about different design styles and your interpretation of them while you build one!
On one of the Willow Creek renos she explained a housing style that had been used (I think it was shotgun) and the history of it. She then renovated it while keeping it shotgun style. I really enjoyed that video because I'd never heard of that style of house before.
This might be my favorite sims build video. Holy guacamole it's so inspiring to watch it change vibes before your eyes!!

I love the mid-century living space, Mitch and dinning room, I don't think it was too much colour. The cottage core was cute, the exterior was my favourite as well as the blue room. The Minimal modern exterior was really nice, if was to have an exterior like that I would design the inside different probably because I don't really like the minimal look. the last house was good. loved the video deli!!

I LOVE the mid-century one so much! I would love to live there. Something about that 70s style, when it's like this, just seems to *warm* and comforting lol. Maybe because my grandma's house was still a little like this (the kitchen and basement bedroom were very 70s, the rest of the house not so much anymore) when I was a kid, I don't know.

Interestingly i loved the mid Century one. Personally i would not live in such a house and shy away from building one but your video got me super excited about it. That house fit the aspired aesthetic the best!😍👍🏻 All of them are amazing though. Especially the cottage one looked extremely cozy🥰✨

I think the mid-century modern one is my favourite! I don’t know if I’d want to live with that amount of colour/patterns but I love the shape of furniture seen in mid century builds and I think it just felt like such a cohesive house!

The mid-century home was my favorite 😍🤤 I was surprised because I definitely embrace the cottage core life. You got me hooked on The Cottage Fairy in like 2020-21! I adore Paola! 🥰🥹 She recently got married and it has been fun to see her make a home in her new cottage. Just pre-ordered her book as well! You and Paola are the only CZcamsrs I immediately stop what I’m doing (when possible) to go watch a new upload when I get a notification.

Me, who lives in a mid-century house in the US (built in 1956) watching Deli place the panel divider at the entrance. Looks over at own home entrance, can confirm, very commonly placed there 😅

Mid-century and those colors always remind me of a vacation condo we used to go to as kids (in the 90s). The carpet... the paneling... they even had an Atari system

I live in a Midcentury house, in a neighborhood with a lot of model homes from the 50s (so there are basically copies of my house all around the neighborhood, along with 4-5 different styles of home repeated).
It's so interesting to see how these houses have evolved differently from each other over time. Like, you could see a house in my neighborhood that is the same model as mine, but the garage was turned into a sunroom, or a second story addition was put on, and obviously many people have renovated the exteriors of their homes different. One version of the same house can look like it's still stuck in the 70s, while another looks cottagey, and yet another is completely modern. Basically: the same thing this video is doing, but in real life.
My house clearly got renovated in the 80s and has only had small, utilitarian upgrades since that time, like newer carpet and some new windows. I'm definitely trying to take it back toward some of its Midcentury roots, but you know, that brighter, cleaner Midcentury Modern look because I don't want to live in a dark home. There are some gorgeous hardwood floors under this carpet!
The family style home kitchen on the island is definitely something i would have LOVED when my kids were younger! Here most of us put locking things on cabinets to keep kids out but Theyre usually ugly white plastic bits

My favourite was the midcentury (postmodern?) styled home, but interestingly I did really like the purple bedroom from the suburban that you didnt like :") I am definitely a LOTS of colour in the home kind of person; the cottage home was a very close second for me. Loved this video!

The mid century is definitely my favorite 😍 hands-down I would live there I’m gonna download it I actually have several mid century builds in one of my saved files and I’m in love with it and mind you I never thought I would like it but I do. The modern I really can’t do it it always feels like it’s sterile like no one lives there 😅 ❤

I LOVE THIS VIDEO CONCEPT! New to building, Ive always been good at redecorating but Im pretty new to building and this concept helps a lot. Ive builds lots like a bowling ally and a bar before but somehow homes are difficult for me. The different styles allows you to use content you wouldn't have thought of using.

I think this was so fun to watch, I'd love it if you could recreate this, but using base game only cause I feel like it'd be quite challenging to do and maybe this could be a challenge to your subscribers...I'd definitely do it and tag you on the gallery.
